Why is the guy who's name is Invincible getting steam rolled every fight?
>>153066286>>153069535The problem with Vegeta is that his redemption wasn't really earned (plus he never wanted to be redeemed like Nolan wants to as he's been trying to do for most of the anime as he only began to "I want to undo the damage I did" during the fight against Kid Buu) and he got off easy since the Z fighters more so HAD to tolerate him out of necessity for greater present threats in the android saga, he wasn't a friend; he was a walking nuke they hoped stayed pointed at the current enemy but if say the two androids Gero and 19 were the only threat then he likely would have directed his newly obtained super saiyan power in going back to getting his revenge on everyone. DBZ also has dragons balls which mitigates somewhat the things he's done (mainly buu saga) but should be kept in mind that one Namekian village Vegeta slaughtered they're still dead too since the Dragon Balls couldn't bring them back since he wasn't among Frieza's forces and this including to past planets with their civilizations he has annihilated. I find it funny that Super in the manga finally addressed it with him giving an apology for the namekians, but it comes off really unearned with how late this apology came and when you take into account Super was obviously not suppose to be a thing initially given how Z run ended. Vegeta was sent to hell for a reason as Piccolo explains to him when Vegeta asked him if he'll be going to join Goku in the afterlife in keeping his body or Hell in losing it and be cleansed as a new soul. King Yemma gave Vegeta his 2nd chance (getting rid of the halo) during the Kid Buu fight because he put his very existence on the line in finally doing an act of selflessness. I wouldn't say to take that as King Yemma views it as Vegeta has "redeemed himself" but rather that he's going to reevaluate Vegeta's actions hence forth as a probation of sorts giving him with this 2nd chance at life a clean slate.

>>153052527>spoilerIt's all good, Anon.Allan just went into the nearest store, and they gave him a free pack in exchange for him recording a little jingle: "I am Allen the Alien, and this is my favourite store on Planet Earth!"
>>153065639>>153065728>>153058853I get whats the motive here, but it still does not feel right with this scene just due to how its portrayed.Either make Art be honest with Nolan or have him be scared shitless all the way through and commit to it. Could have added more "Why Nolan sux lmao" speech points in the former to reinforce the hateboner or more cool suspense with a few paranoid fakeouts from Art's POV in the latter to trick new watchers into thinking that Nolan's about to snap on Art after Debbie, to hit the nail right in the head about his fear in the scene. This middle position where he's all perfectly pretending to be still be his friend, then suddenly whips out the cold truth, then out of nowhere is scared shitless again once he sees Nolan out of reach instead of it being because of some paranoid twitch, like Nolan zipping past him after the heroes line, and grasping for air like he was holding his breath the entire time after pulling the perfect facade the entire time just feels disjointed as fuck.

how does "time is different in space" or time dilation works in fiction?? comic book superheroes here, but fiction in general>"astronauts go to the moon have a different time than us here on earth"is whta I heard. dont character go back and forth all the time? do they go to the past? or the future? do they age in their travels?? does it affect them??worse, the way they fight in space and ping-pong each other between earth, the moon, etc is it that easy??i dont understand anything about this science time thing
Honestly, shit like this is exactly what AI chatbots are for. Go bother some computer instead of posting here.
>>153074712You're no fun.
>>153072229>how does "time is different in space" or time dilation works in fiction??However the author wants it to in order to serve their plot. That's literally it, anon.
>>153072229The first thing about relativity you need to get is that there is now universal clock that says how much time has "really" passed, or what time it "really" is now. It depends on your frame of reference. Time dilation increases as you move closer to the speed of light. As you approach c, (which is light's speed in a vacuum, IE as fast as light can possibly travel) the passage of time for you slows relative to other frames of reference. If you traveled in a circle at very close to light speed for a distance of just under a light year, when you arrived back at your starting point you'd find that about a year would have passed on Earth, but you would have experienced virtually no time at all. Like "I just left five minutes ago, how is it 2027 already?" That's an extreme example, but we've measured it happening to a much smaller degree with satellites and things. And let's not even open the can of worms that is faster-than-light travel, which is likely impossible in our universe. (I'll just say that if you can get from point A to B faster than the light that left B, no matter how you manage to do it, you can absolutely go back in time.)Superhero comics, like space opera, flat-out ignore all of this shit because they're rooted in the 1930s when relativity was a funny new idea that might not catch on, and because the kinds of stories they usually want to tell won't work if you can't easily go star-hopping.
>>153076077*no universal clock*the light the left A gets to B
So in the real world and the original Marvel timeline, the Hulk originated in the 1960s and Hulk Hogan named himself after the character when he started wrestling in the 1970s. But according to the sliding timeline and the MCU, the Hulk only emerged after the 2000s. So does that mean the Hulk named himself after Hulk Hogan?
The word "Hulk" has been around since the 16th Century, referring to large old cargo ships that had been left to rot. Eventually the term evolved into describing large people.

Been reading Mark Gruenwald's Captain America, and it's been fun. I love Gruenwald's worldbuilding and continuity autism. What Marvel runs have you read recently? What have you enjoyed?
>>153073564What were the sales and critical reception for Man-Thing at the time? I know Howard the Duck must've been a big hit since it got the movie and shit, but how were people responding to their creature feature horror book being this trippy?
>>153074818What about her?
>>153075786She used to be cool.
>>153073832I think that it was moderately successful at some point. At first the stories were short features, then they were standard issues. Eventually a solo title, but remember that it only lasted for 22 issues.

so you're telling me he could have done that the ENTIRE time mark was choking him to death????
>>153076076They already had a culture of killing the weak. That's another reason it doesn't make sense- if you have weak fucked up kids from inbreeding, just kill them and make another. The viltrumite philosophy should have encouraged the idea of breeding the 'best viltrumites' together and killing the shitty inbred kids. Like a eugenic philosophy by nature encourages elites breeding with elites, otherwise the 19th century would have been "okay we need top tier people to have more kids BUT we don't want them to be inbred so we'll bang a retard every once in a while".
>>153076084Anissa isn't comparable to Nolan, Mark just got raped because he's a pussy and Kirkman was jerking off while writing it
>>153076070>there were 50-100 of them left,There seems to be very few female viltrumites left, so the danger of inbreeding is probably even greater than it would seem from the 50 number.
>>153076112I'm not saying Anissa is as strong Nolan, but she's at that level. She should definitely be top 10 among the viltrumites.
>>153076140we do at least know that she's faster than Nolan, according to Cecil

>>153062479My theory is that that is really not the princess, and the adult dragon hen was really not the queen. The dragon hen kidnapped the queen, disposed of her, left a trail leading to a dummy-lair, claimed to have been transformed by an evil wizard when a hero showed up, and was brought to the castle to assume human queen's position. Meanwhile her eggs were in incubation. She's been visiting them regularly at night, and after they hatched, she's been teaching her daughters how to act like humans. One night, before she leaves, she grabs the human princess and carries her off, and makes it look like some dragon did it. A hero is sent rescue the princess, who is now somehow a (hot as fuck) young dragon hen, and nobody bats an eye because it supposedly already happened to the queen as well. That dragon's brood are being supposedly rescued from her old cave and exported to other kingdoms as "tragically transformed" maidens to peacefully take over the nations of the world for dragonkind.
