The joblin...
Wait.... something's wrong...
About to watch The Prince of Egypt (1998) what am I on for I hope nothing too jewy.
A Jew is given preferential treatment, decides it's not enough and destroys an entire society just to get what he wants.
It is a faithful retelling of the original myth. It has classic dreamworks animation, and great music.
>>153074648>watches a movie about the Old Testament>written, directed and scored by JewsYou get what you signed up for.Jokes aside, Prince of Egypt is peak. It and the 73 Jesus Christ Superstar are objectively some of the best 'Bible' movies of all time in terms of entertainment value if you aren't counting old hollywood epics.Something about being able to critically evaluate the texts while still holding to them as spiritual and deserving respect makes a great movie.
>>153074800That version of JC superstar is my favorite musical of all time I think and I usually hate musicalslop. I learned how to sing the songs and everything. Jesus and Judas are so well portrayed, and their voices! Holy shit!
>>153074833 Part of it is just kino music. The rest is because the main sources are Mark and Matthew read on their own terms without all of the shit added on later. The two gospels that are the best from a purely literary standpoint. Also its weirdly Girardian for a musical showing the evil and insanity of crowds. Like Caiaphas, the arch villain has understandable reasons for wanting Jesus crucified and takes less pleasure in his death and suffering than the people who once swarmed around him in adoration. He understood how fickle anf quick to violence they were and in his own twisted way put the needs of the undeserving many above the singular innocent. Annas was just a shithead though.
Prank edition!Share art, stories and ideas.
>>153073057Subtle mind changes are hot. Especially if the character is aware of the changes and can fight them, but automatically slips back into it when not paying attention. Total identity rewrite is trash.
>>153073057>are Mind Alterations hot? Yes or No?Love em.
>>153073057Mind changes rock
>>153071642First of all, thank you for more Trapcifica, he's awesome (although I do prefer him with longer hair and a bigger package). Second>Dipper's buttplug is buzzing>doesn't give him an instant erectionAlso here's an idea for a jokey follow-up:>Dipper, slightly blushing, holding his "big" egg-shaped (Easter-themed) buttplug hat he just removed and rubbing his ass after the shift: "Ugh, it's crazy they expect us to stay focused on our jobs with these huge things up our asses. How do you deal with it so well?", while we hear a "NGH!" off-panel>Pacifica, holding a huge buttplug he just removed: "Experience.", as Dipper looks at it shocked and completely red in the face
>>153072264Do you mean something more similar to Samus Zero suit or just like we saw her without the armour in the show?>>153072291I have that one on my list, I just got side tracked by commisions
Will it make $2Bil?
I want to participate in these threads but I haven't watched the movie yet. Ah fuck it, I'll probably watch it on some illegal streaming site while high anyway. Let me guess, Rosalina no diffed the entire movie?
>>153074141Rosalina Sadly does not no-diff the entire.here's a DL link to the movie to understand why: https://gofile.io/d/y55pwp
>>153072957Read the post I was replying to, I was specifically talking about the people who defend the movie from any criticism on the internet like their life depends on it
>>153074487Wow. That was a very in depth explanation. Thanks Anon.
>>153073155You can almost argue that these movies are the most faithful video game adaptation, specifically the mainline 3D Mario games.>Little to no story>No character development>Lots of visually fun set pieces>Lots of imaginative, cartoony characters>Cool, bouncy cartoony animation>Some funny character interactionsLike, that's pretty much the 3D platformers. They're not concerned with making a good movie in terms of what the rules of storytelling are, Joseph Campbell and all that. They just wanna make something that's fun. So I guess this is the most accurate way to translate a Nintendo product to the big screen.

I would have preferred to see Enid x Shannon instead of Rad, no offense. I think it would have been cute.
Time for some more Golden Age true crime goodness!
That's enough for today, more comics tomorrow!
Watching this for the first time and it's actually really funny and charming. I thought it'd be like the Mario Bros Show where it's only funny because it's so cheap-looking, but nah, it's got a lot of good comedic moments.
>>153073960That's the difference even in cheap cartoon tie-ins. If you have a team of people that know how to write they can make anything good.
>>153073960Remember checking the IMDB of the guys who worked on the Mario cartoons, The Mario board artists were usually born around the 1930s-1950s who worked on shit like Rainbow Brite or Kissyfur while the guys who worked AOSTH also worked on Ren & Stimpy and Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, There weren't really any wacky cartoonists working on the Mario cartoons

>*bites into pickled vegetable*>I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than another man raising your biological son. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are not there to feed, clothe, raise and rear your boy for at least 13 years solely so he can go and call another man papa. All the hard work you didn't put into your handsome son - reading him stories at bedtime, training him in the art of war, making sure he has a healthy diet, educating, playing with him. All of it has one simple result: his loyalty is to another man.>Never raised the perfect samurai? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, your mountain hermit sensei who also had nothing to do with the way he grew up, who ends up training him. He gets to teach him bushido. He gets the benefits of his kind and sweet personality that came from the way your childhood rival raised him.>As a man who was exiled from his village, you are LITERALLY dedicating at least 10 years of your life to mushashugyo while your son calls another man 'father.' It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck. Think about it logically.
>>153072404I hope he never gets caught.
>>153072425It's realistic, but it's not good drama to have characters that don't grow or change or even face any consequences.
>>153073646Static Characters are as much part of telling stories as Dynamic characters, especially when we're talking about secondary characters who are usually used for one and done stories.
>>153071961Worth it

Why are Indie animators incapable of writing good dialogue ????
>>153059040Mostly true, unless the show is storyboard driven
>>153074745If you're trying to milk sympathy as a fucking nonce, then you're in the wrong place.
>>153059040There are so many successful mangaka who both write and draw. The issue is with American creativity like the obsession with therapy you don't see from Japan.

>>153074788What im doing is punishing you. No one understands transgender identity like I do. Gooseworx’s claimed identity is a big presence in Digital Circus, but not in the way trans supporters see it. I can make it all unravel, like a ball of yarn; JUST because of your BIG FUCKING MOUTH, Hehe
Been reading Mark Gruenwald's Captain America, and it's been fun. I love Gruenwald's worldbuilding and continuity autism. What Marvel runs have you read recently? What have you enjoyed?
>>153071671It had good parts and bad parts
>>153072041I’m still upset that we never really got a crossover comicthere was that one super short thing for MvC3 but it was barely a story and didn’t get an update when the Ultimate version dropped
>>153073564What were the sales and critical reception for Man-Thing at the time? I know Howard the Duck must've been a big hit since it got the movie and shit, but how were people responding to their creature feature horror book being this trippy?
