Favorite Omnitrix gimmick go! For new it’s DNA scanning and Ultimate’s. Scanning just opens up the scope of what Ben can turn into and makes sense given what the thing was made for in the first placeUltimates are just cool for the most part (don’t mention Ultimate Wildmutt I don’t like him either). Also they’re related to Albedo, my second favorite character. If you want some “big reason” though I guess the idea of evolution “Survive or die” or bringing out the best in a species could make sense. But that second reason would need to be in a more natural version of the gimmick instead of the more combat focused version Albedo made

Will Vinton was very influential in the realm of stop motion and helped popularize it a lot, the stop motion aspect was likely part of the raisins whole appeal. Before Will Vinton stop motion was relatively niche, only being known for being used for special effects in classic Hollywood films or some occasional mainstream animated stuff like Gumby and Rankin Bass specials. The claymation (the term which was coined by Vintons studio) in Vintons projects looked pretty great for the time and made previous stop motion stuff look janky in comparison.
I really love claymation, that is how.
