I don't like Ghibli for the same reason because he's just animation-jerking it and the story is just whimsical and often just nonsense. Disney movies have more meaning than a lot of this stuff. Common Side Effects has weird shit happen but it is in service of a story about our society and the institutions inside it and that gives a solid foundation for the weird shit to happen.
