When I originally drew the designs, I was pretty much just throwing whatever at the wall and then fishing for random input and feedback from the threads. This included which hairstyles the girls should have, as well as their color schemes and stuff. Red was one of the first characters I finalized both design and colorwise, so when I gave her black hair it didn't stand out as weird yet. If people want to, they can draw her with dark red hair instead, or give her black hair red highlights if they want to make it consistent.
