It's not so much "wrong" to draw by feel, you'll just improve much slower and hit the skill ceiling much faster that way. Those things I mentioned are kinda like stages of making a figure out of clay: first creating a wire frame, then creating the figure's volume by adding clay on top, then adding rough details, and finally polishing the details. What you're doing now is skipping to the final part, which only artists who have the basis down and can perfectly imagine the preceding parts in their mind can do without loss of quality in their art.Not telling you that you MUST do that, you can have fun drawing without all that. I'm telling you that you should do that if you want to become really good one day.
