Dana might be good at monster designs, but I don't think she has the directing or editing chops to create suspenseful films or impactful atmosphere. Like, Silent Hill Homecoming has really good monster designs, but that game isn't scary and really sucks. I think it's going to be a similar scenario here. She's had years of chance to show off her directing abilities and hasn't made one memorable scene. Rebecca Sugar, for all her flaws, still has moments in her career that people can point to and go, "That scene was really fucking good".
