Rewatching the episode now, and it is pretty funny how Caine is trying to get Jax to think he is cool at dinner and even intimately touch him grabbing inside his mouthCaine acts like he is clueless around them but is always scheming
Bad-Ending-Chads won again.>there won't be an escape.>the cast ruined their relationship with Caine, who is going to torture them forever.>Goose is a tranny, so there is no way he will ever allow his characters a happy ending
I'm surprised most people didn't notice the Chinese Room was a reference to a famous programming thought experiment.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_roomIt's also why Kinger was the only one who laughed at it, because he's a programmer.

>>151687462We have reached the point of "I have no Mouth and I must scream" where the characters are misled by false hope by the AI keeping them prisoner. What follows after this is Ted, one of the prisoners, going apeshit and realizing the only "freedom" is killing everyone, so nobody else has to suffer this torture anymore, by discovering a short loophole where he can kill everyone without the AI discovering it.Jax is the character compared to Ted the most, so be VERY afraid of what he's gonna do in the next episodes.
>>151687505Zach needs to stick to Smiling Friends and end that already.
Said it in last thread but saying again here. We now know that Caine's mental tinkering can cause abstraction, and that people tend to abstract once they get too freaked out and disillusioned. What if every "abstraction" is just Caine realizing they aren't having a good time, trying to make them "happy" again and fucking up?

>>151687462at least Ragapom wins?
So we're all in agreement that episode 8 will be about the cast trying to kill this nigga, right?
Kinger was also right alongside Jax, as he obviously knew what was up when told they were gonna leave the circus and had no ideal who Abel even wasHe could have warned them it was all a hoax if he stayed sane long enough to say it
>Yeah when he uses it [his wisdom] responsibly...So Abel was just Caine's subconscious right? I'm guessing he's got some lingering AM esque hate toward Kinger for having a hand in "trapping" him in a proverbial prison which is why he was throwing some barbs his way during the haunted house ep and the demons
Anyone who thought there would be a happy ending to this series is insane.Go watch Little Runmo, this is not a mind capable of a happy ending.

The point of this episode was they used every single bit of "lore" that was just crumbs in previous episodes and which people thought were hints to something of substance, and turned them into a literal nothingburger. In fact it made them all part of the AI antagonist's intentional tomfoolery. The C&A, Kinger being important, "Abel", hacking the mainframe, "how are they still alive in real life", etc. it was all a ruse. They were playing the fandom. "You thought you had real speculation? NO it was all part of the game"So now it feels like the entire backdrop of the show reset to 0, all the "sneaky lore hints" were bullshit. This lets them do whatever they want for the finale and they don't need to pay off anything that was set-up previously. It's a good concept, execution was a little iffy because we could all see it coming from minute 4. There was a little tension on WHAT exactly the final twist would be, but we all knew there would be a final twist that would render the entire episode moot.
>>151687601why do people keep saying funnybunny btfo? nothing really happened with jax and pomni the whole episode and he's still doing the usual tsun shit he was doing in episode 6 when he thought she was going to shoot herselfin fact, pomni was going full paranoid schizo over the buttons being fake and jax went full mental breakdown and hit the red button confirming her suspicions, so they might actually end up banding together even more now

Given the gnostic allegory, my assumption of the ending is>the circus goes on forever>people come in, and they leave>being here is not hell, leaving is not heaven, staying here is not an honor, leaving is not as scary as it seems>you remain you no matter where you are>be good to your fellows

>>151687695I support JaXXX because he's an actual chad unlike the others who are chodes...
I think it was all setup by Caine, but I also think they could have actually left for realHow?Kinger was the key to everything. The Abel npc was hesitant for giving Kinger administrator privileges, which might mean they were REAL administration passes that could be used, so Caine was putting himself at real risk letting them have access to thatWhich also means if Pomni let Kinger use the panel, he might have figured something out and they could have tricked Caine in to accidentally letting all escape for realIt also makes me think Caine is purposefully manipulating Kinger's mind to be less able to help out the others and that Kinger, who can make butterflies out of thin air to heal others, could conjure up a real escape if he put his mind to it.Also the way the Abel npc said before Pomni entered Caine's office "Make the right choice" when being asked about beer, sounded less human, and like a warning to make the right choice for Caine to be happy
So what the fuck is Jax's deal anyway?
I was worried Ragatha might abstract after the Jax fake-outs. Was just a gut feeling I had and I’m pleased to have been wrong.

>>151687528>>151687551>>151687607>>151687624It's not like anyone else trusted him already, but they also were in a panicked situation because Pomni wouldn't push the button. And while the true reason for Jax pushing the red one was out of fear of facing the real world, it's true that nobody knew what would happen if Pomni picked the blue button. They were just believing whatever some random guy told them and didn't know if he was legit. There was also a fear that if they escaped, they would be in a worse situation and might not even escape. It was a weird situation anyways, and I don't think after the reveal that anyone would blame it on Jax over Caine. The fact the whole situation was bullshit in the first place sort of invalidates any other feeling they could have at the moment.
I fucking love Zach's disgusting nasally voice. I wish every character was voiced by him.

Like if the idea is to sustain their minds in a (perhaps even induced) coma, until such a time that medical technology can remedy their medical condition. That's why Jax was having visions of an IRL imminent car crash, and panic hit the button, either consciously or unconsciously, as a means of self-preservation and not ending his own "existence".

>>151687877Yes but it's way less likely IMO that the theories around him programming the circus etc. are real. Really the end of this episode puts a huge question mark on every single bit of info we got in previous episodes. Was it a real part of the lore, or Caine editing shit around to fit this specific aventure? We know now that the mannequin spying on them since EP3 was intentionally set-up by him, and it's also very likely that a lot of the office space photos we've seen are all complete bullshit too. I'm finding it hard to be confident in anything regarding how 8&9 will play out after this. Also, IIRC wasn't this the episode that was originally a single one but then got split into 7&8 because of the length? So it would've originally had a pay-off, possibly, but it got so long they had to add this in-between cliffhanger ep. We might see everything playing out next episode and then 9 can just be the NGE ending for all we know
>>151687909Yeah, watching reaction streams and everyone starts buffering at that part.
>>151687982That was pretty spooky. The way the corner of the room just opened up reminded me of analog horror stuff.
>>151687938Troonble despite being the "skeptic" of the group didn't even think twice because all it cares about is fucking Gangreene. I hope she abstracts in the next episode after acting all high and mighty
It's interesting that despite the various NPCs being creations of Caine, many of them act in ways that give off the impression of being more self-aware and emotionally intelligent than he is. I think that's part of the reason that the ruse was able to work on the characters (and many viewers). The adventure is even slightly critical of Caine, since part of the plan involves preying on his insecurities about being disliked, which goes against his usual characterization of being unable to understand that everyone hates him.
Caine's scratched out bee.We could have known this was all a fake-out.
ALERT
Where the fuck was he?
>>151688001Seiko Kimura and Ragatha would get along I think
>>151687462Rewatching the ep again and I was going frame-by-frame as Jax got snapped out of this phase, are these not the same color eyes that abstracted individuals bare? Is abstraction just what Jax had experienced, being free from the torment of the Circus and feeling an unending bliss?
>>151687938It's called desperation. At one point, things get so bad that it can't hurt to try. Worst case scenario, they just go back to their usual lives, as Cain shows no signs of turning malignant.Retarded zoomer.
What is this thing?>>151687938They were all in blatant denial since they are desperate. Even Jax since he was clearly convinced that there was a possibility that it was real at the end which is why he freaked out and hit the button.
I was nice that the episode came to a somewhat decent conclusion and didn't end with a MEGA cliffhanger that I was dreading

Why is everyone acting like Jax got a massive W? when he said "It's all just an adventure" it was actually just wishful thinking on his part, and he knew it. He believed it was happening for real as much as the rest. It's the reason he frantically pushes the button, he legitimately believes he's getting to choose to stay in there forever and feels betrayed that it wasnt true.
This will be lost in the post sea, but I just wanna sayThat POV shot of Jax rushing over to the button was really good.
How come Caine is utterly incapable of interacting with the main characters in a normal way, but can create NPCs that can even pass the Turing test?

>>151687617Caine actually does make sense that in ep 1 ragatha and pomni catch abstraction

This episode for some reason has me convinced we're heading into the basement, it'll come up end of next episode. We're talking a walk through hell, to speak with the dead, and likely save the rabbit.
Everyone in the show is a tulpa of Kinger. Caine is Kinger's subconscious. Pomni represents his AGP.Also, considering Zach is friends with Sam Hyde, does his being on this show say anything about Goose?
At least Caine gave them a gift basket. Maybe some of those lotions are nice.
>>151687625>saved Jax from abstraction>offered her hand to him"Ragapom" is as much canon as Ragatha x Zooble or Gangle x Kinger.
>>151687641The alternative is that the thing """Abel""" said about the stasis pods is 100% true. And as the show managed to demonstrate, any theory for how the circus works that posits that their bodies are just waiting for them on the outside for their consciousness to slide back in sounds really stupid when you say it out loud.If it's any consolation, their real selves are probably just running around in the real world living their best lives; given that Pomni doesn't remember tripping over several corpses on her way to the headset.

This is why trannies make good art. They are deeply linked with tragedy. In an age, where society isn't able to bear tragedy anymore and all Sci-Fi and Fantasy stories degenerate into Capeshit, autistic trannies know that good stories have tragedy in them. There won't be a happy ending. I hope you all realize this now. Escape is completely impossible. They don't have a body to return to. And Caine's relationship with the cast is permanently broken. He will torture them forever.

I feel even more this is Soma scenario. Also hey Jax finally has some development and is on his road to actually be somewhat better given his crashout at Caine. He did something awful, but hey, he actually now will reflect on it as it caused everyone so much mental harm he may actually CHANGE!Yes I am still Ribbun brained. How do you know? This could be a good episode to start all those weird fics because hey. This actually can venture into realms of proper change! No idea if I'll make one, but hey. It is fun possibility. Anyways. >>151688228>That is why Caine can alter their minds. He never altered anyone`s mind except Kinger`s, everyone else has been consistent with their memories since the pilot.
Jax killed someone in a drunk driving accident in the real world and hopped into the VR game as some for of escapism. At first it was fun, but when he realized he was properly stuck he was ecstatic. He would be able to escape the brutal reality of his real world situation with his new friends (Kaufmo and Ribbit). Now they've abstracted and he's alone and that's eating way at him more, but the prospect of LEAVING his fantasy escape from the crime he committed is further fueling his critically unstable mental state. I cite Gooseworx's comments about Jax being not only the youngest of the cast in the real world, which would leave him much more to lose in his own eyes, but also a 'lightweight' when it comes to drinking when asked in a Q&A. I think that with the flashes of a dark, blurry backroad and the grim response he gave to Zooble about having 'someone waiting for him' on the outside.
>>151688117Are people retarded???She made a point that she's worried what happened to abstracted. It would make sense for Kinger to decide since his wife is under the floors
>>151688244Caine is mean :(c
I think I'm confident to say that this cements that there is zero way to leave the Digital Circus. The only way this can end is the I Have No Mouth, Must Scream end where they terminate eachother, or a more positive end where they manage to obtain admin privileges and they delete Cain leading to basically live in the circus in peace and freedom.
>>151688243The lorefags are seething, that's why. Everyone who wanted the show to finally become plot-driven got baited.

There's no reason for Caine to make Kinger think he helped build the Digital Circus unless he was playing a long con way before Pomni showed up

So you either double down on your view about the show or accept you were rused.I think the execution wasn't tight enough to create this feeling which would result in arguments between two camps, or at least not for now.
>>151688176Trannies make good art because they already live in fantasy
Had another thought while rewatching the episode. While it's true that Caine's no longer a reliable source of info, it's safe to assume he genuinely is fascinated by the real world, since we see him often looking at those photos even when no one's around, and mentions he couldn't get any more images of the real world before he got "cut off". And while he lies for the sake of his adventures or keeping the group around, I don't see what he'd gain by lying about that.We know he's a rogue AI, but the fact that he's "cut off" implies that someone on the outside's trying to intervene with his activities makes me wonder just how rogue he really is, or if he's a problem for more than just the circus itself
>>151687673You think that's something they wouldn't enjoy?
How much of Jax's schizo moment when pressing the button actually from his own volition to want to stay in the circus and how much of it was possibly just from Caine messing with his head or something. I mean it was pretty suspect how Abel wanted Jax to go first, or how Jax had to interact with Caine a lot this episode to get the key. Maybe putting his hand in Caine's mouth allowed for Caine to exert more influence on Jax or something idk. Jax does deliberately call out Caine influencing their minds immediately afterward so it does get me thinking.
>>151688321The frog is Jax's ethereal DMT angelwife welcoming him into the sweet embrace of death, of course Ribbun is back.
>This is gonna split the fandom>How?Remember the actual fandom is 13 year olds. They'll be amazed.
>>151688176It's not gonna have a happy ending where they all escape and live happy lives, but it will have a bittersweet ending where the characters are okay with their fate, no matter what that is. I do think the circus has to change somewhat, as they are setting up Caine to go through a character arc where he slowly gets more and more desperate til he reachs a breaking point, that's bound to have a payoff that will change things up in the circus, even just a bit. And after that, most of the cast will learn to find some level of happiness in this shitty situation they're in. Goose already said it's not ending as depressingly as I have no Mouth, so it's not gonna be an entirely dour ending. Just more depressing than what you'd expect from a cartoon.
>>151688095Why does ChatGPT give people false info nowadays despite having the same database if not bigger than when it first released? I think it's funny that at the end, Gangle is just regularly sad. Not even that distraught, just the same sad mask expressions he always had. I think Zooble telling her they were real no matter what made it hurt less, as she still has her friends no matter what happened, and that's what she really cares about.
Could someone with a 4K monitor grab a better screenshot of this? I can't make out what the book says.10:39

What if this whole thing about console shutting down was real and Caine learned about gangs plan in last moment, used his mumbo jumbo powers to control Jax, told a lie about it was only an adventure, used mumbo jumbo powers to make Abel to act like NPC and killed his avatar? This episode felt super weird. Uncanny. The real life scenes, Jax's hallucinations in his room, a whole new character being introduced and having all of this exposition dumped on us about how to leave for it to turn out to be nothing in the end. It all felt like nonsense. Like a horrific hallucination by AI that's rotting. Very dreamlike. It was really really odd I can't shake that feeling. It felt like B3313 if anyone knows what that is. I don't know if I'm losing it but I feel like the lighting writing music and just everything was slightly off this episode intentionally to mess with us. It felt so strange and I can't shake this feeling for whatever reason. Am I going crazy?

>>151688348I think he is interested in it, which makes it all the more dangerous. He wants to make a perfect copy of the real world, especially if he thinks that's what the players would like. Malicious or not, that's too much power for someone like him to have.Being cut off means he's stuck with the data he has now, hence why there's nothing past the door in Episode 1. As for HOW he got cutoff, don't think its super important, unless the C&A crew were really up to no good.

They're all ChatGPT chatbots and Cain is the only actual human. Abstracting is when their dataset starts getting corrupted, so they get reset into a new character.Like others have said, the ending is going to be them finding out how to kill (delete) themselves/each other, which "puts an end to" the simulation.
>>151688465The show is only 1440p

And after this episode there is some material you can make for a story where Jax hits such a low level of despair and Gangle may in fact be the only one not to outright hate him given how much despair she goes through. Getting through her fear of him into actually being decent towards him at his lowest all the while he tries to find out how she never did abstract despite how broken she always is. That has potential.

Home alone on a Friday night? How pathetic
Cain and Abel are the first two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain killed Abel when God favored Abel's offering over his. God then cursed the ground Cain worked on so he could never cultivate crops and God cursed him to be "a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth," making the ground unproductive for him and banishing him from his home in the land east of Eden.Caine did something to end up here. Are you ready for the longest, worst/best stretch of fandom speculation and headcanon until the next episode?
I liked the ending, but saw it coming from a mile away, and am annoyed they spent so much time trying to fool me when I didn't buy it for a second. Regardless of the overall point, it's never a fun experience to have an episode like that, where you're just waiting for the eventual twist that you already know is there, especially in a limited series that doesn't have a lot of episodes. That being said, it implies that all my theories were correct about the true nature of the circus, and my perspective on the show is very in line with what they're going for. So ironically, the episode making fun of fan theories just confirmed mine. So, at the very least, it was good on that front.
>>151689049I feel like he's going to try to, and I don't even blame him, but considering his mental state and the fact that everyone else is likely going to be utterly destroyed emotionally afterwards that probably isn't going to work and he'll abstract.
>>151687761Have you never driven a car before? Those aren't headlights. What am I saying, you're a Glitch fan, you're probably not even old enough to drive.
Le climate change killed everyone on earth so kinger built a simulation and put all his dead friends in it and put an AI in charge of it and wiped everyone's memories except his which the AI deliberately handicaps to keep things fun

>>151689103She's a hot goth milf on a cancelled Disney Channel show
Man it's gonna be hard to speculate about characters in the future now that whether their mental state was subtly being fucked with is a regular concernWe always knew Caine could fuck with their minds - the stupid sauce, the vegan thing, gangle's mask - but the fact he could SUBLTY play them (or at least Jax claims he could, I'm kinda calling bullshit on that) is new

This is the much-promised fanbase split :>Jax is a traitor who chose to trap everybody there foreverVS.>Jax saw through Caine’s bullshit and probably has some justified traumatic reason to fear going back to real life and maybe saved everybody from being abstracted by Caine (or whatever horrors are implied by “Shrimptown”)As for me? Well I’m a Jaxfag 4 lyfe, my niggaz.
>>151688877Even if they're not copies theres is no way there is anyway they could leave. Jax said at one point in ep 1 that "they" had been in the circus for years. Order of entry into the circus has been confirmed as Kinger, Ragatha, Jax, Gangle then Zooble as the last person before Pomni. That means at the least Kinger, Ragatha and Jax have been in this place for multiple years, and this episode confirms they seemingly all got in just by putting on a headset, not getting into life support capsules. So if this place is actually an artificial simulation (and not another dimension or Narnia or something similar) how *could* they leave? Their bodies are dead by now.Hell, even if they *were* in life support pods, spending years in a coma is something thats result in lifelong disabilities and even brain damage. With that in mind I'd sort of buy that *Pomni* and her alone could leave the circus, the rest of them are fucked.
I want to cheer Ragatha up
>>151689075I've become more and more convinced that its better for a show to be predictable but well written with a coherent arc than always have an unexpected twist that the entire plot suffers from accommodating.

>>151687796JAX says memories are fake because he wants to believe his memories aren't real. That he pushed the red button not because he feared his real life, but because Caine implanted them in him to make him do what he wanted. But in reality, those memories are real, and he's projecting. He's right that Caine deletes some of their memories; he does delete their names on purpose, but he seemed genuinely freaked out about "the first abstraction," and I do believe he's not trying to repeat that mistake. He's desperate to get people liking him, that's not an act or a lie, so he wouldn't give them all fake memories. If he did, he would just make all of them think they had shitty lives outside of the circus, and "choose" to stay.

>>151689171>My hero Jax is a IQ masterJust as expect from my GOAT
>>151688979The bait-and-switch was so telegraphed that Jax basically called it instantly.Even considering that the rest of the cast were significantly more gullible you'd have to be brain-damaged not to think that someone new showing up who claims to have snuck under Caine's radar for years. Has perfect knowledge of the circus, how it functions, and the humans within. Apparently was only able (ha) take any serious action at THIS EXACT MOMENT despite having years of time to prepare. >>151689096Nihlism is the Worst ideology and makes you into an asshole.
>>151688805But this is the point of philosophical Chinese room. You don't need to understand chinese to be able to write chinese characters.
>>151689179I think this is spot on, BUT, it's not necessarily implied that the memories are fake implants. What Jax could've meant is that Caine actively flashed the memories in his mind in order to trigger and manipulate him into pressing the red button. >>151689228Jax killed everyone in the circus then himself and Kinger saved them by uploading them to the simulation

So is EVERYTHING Abel said false? Was this a big boot into every single one of those theories' asses? Or was there any truth to it?As much as Kinger is Kinger his reactions are deliberately unclear like he simply did not recognize anything. >>151689176I mean the has to be some kind of ending, one that presumably delivers on all the foreshadowing/hints they drop every episode. Which means at a minimum the character need to know whats going on, so they can reject/escape/accept whatever happened to them. There's no plan for a season 2 right? So this is it.
>>151689271This ain't getting a season 2, they had no idea how big it would be when they started making it

I think abstraction and Jax being at peace with the drug trip before he was about to die is a metaphor for suicide. I think the whole show is. >>151689498>Jax got trafficked!>Jax killed someone!Do people really
>>151689498>human traffickingOut of all fucking things man, Pomni said she used a headset not that she was fucking kidnapped and sent to the gullag in area 51.
>>151689438Because he is like his father or some shit.
>>151689556That’s a good point. If he killed some random person we never even see, it won’t really resonate within this story. I agree. I think his backstory is probably traumatic. And his “unforgivable act” is pressing the red button, which the other circus members will likely see as a major betrayal.
Pic is canon btw.
So how was this the "huh?" episode? Nobody actually believed the escape plot, right? So what we know is that Caine is in control of everything and there's no escape. Also Jax is traumatized. Is there anything really confusing, surprising, or new about this?
>>151689567It means they have no bodies to go back to, they're copies not transfers.
>>151689567A game
>>151689434Yeah. My favorite songs from any artform are usually ones that leave a impression upon the first watch/listen/playthrough.This episode's soundtrack on the later half reminded me a lot of 90s soundtracks when things get introspective.
why did they have to fry the shrimp to death man what the fuck that's so mean
>>151689438I'm gonna fuck Kinger so hard his eyebrows fly off
So me and a friend were talking about the episode, I suggested that a reason that Jax may want to stay in the circus is that in real life he'd been crippled in some car accident, which is why he started getting flashes of the road when he thought he was about to be sent back to reality, where he can't walk. Then my friend pointed out, they had a whole scene about him in Untitled saying he has a tail, only for Pomni to point out it's missing, and it could be a reference to phantom limb syndrome.
>>151689438He's a programmer so he got the bit
>>151689594He isnt in control of everything, i dont know why retards keep pushing this. He is in control, but not of everything.
>>151689611Shrimp Town means they'd just fucking die
>>151689558I'm not risking death to save someone else, I'm going out of my way to risk my life to save a suicidal idiot.Picking Red is not jumping into a Lion's Den, picking Blue is "if we all jump in we can subdue the lion!" you dumb fucking nigger. It's in a goddamn cage, leave the lion be, don't choose to do something that forces everyone else to save your ass!
>>151687673I would prefer transsexuals and leftists first.
>>151689582It has no relevance to any character or the show as a whole for them to have been kidnapped, it's just jumping to a crazy conclusion
>>151689542But that's still nihilism because fun things are not objectively good, those are just the things that I personally prefer
>>151689593That image implies Caine can get them to do anything he wants and we've been explicitly shown that he can't because he's a loser who sucks. Better picture would be a dude being strangled by his hand puppet
>>151689615You might be onto something but then again I saw someone theorize Jax is a rapist because he doesn't like wearing female clothing with the maid dress. These theories are crazy
>(you are here) Episode 7 --> Huh>Episode 8 --> Oh>Episode 9 --> whatWe are getting something perplexing after this
>>151689594>I can't comprehend that people think differently than I do
>>151689594The "huh?" comes from the show addressing the fact that Caine can edit people's minds, leading to Kinger mentioning the first abstraction (which presumably came after Caine's meddling). So I think we're led to believe that Caine tries to directly mess with your mind when you're on the verge of despair to "fix" you, but it almost always never works, leading to the abstractions.
>>151689615>So me and a friendhow do u make friendsasking for a friend
>>151688673it was there when Abel interacted with the ball

>>151689529>selfishly making red choosers murderersI am selfishly choosing to believe that this is a joke replyIf not, then I will simply remind you that the way a question is asked will affect how people respond. This is a documented scientific effect>two groups shown the same footage of a car crashing into a wall>group A told "Car collided with the wall. How fast did it go?">group B told "Car smashed into the wall. How fast did it go?">based solely on word choice, group B consistently guessed the car as moving fasterNow, when presented with a problem like this with a more moral, riskier solution and an on-the-face-of-it more selfish one, why did you choose to consider the selfish one first?I can see your logic, but I wouldn't even consider itNot a thing to do with IQ, and everything to do with your initial takeaways and how the question was presented
>>151689615Speaking of which did he even have his tail this episode? I don't remember seeing it.

>>151689512He feels more baby uwu than ever to me>>151689438>Abel keeps bringing up that Caine is trapped too >"You all can leave, but Caine can not">nobody pays this any mind I'm starting to wonder if Pomni is an AI he created to kick off this long, convoluted cry for help, and her memories are constructed from those office photos that was left in the game's files. She was always meant to lead them to the blue/red choice, as her outfit is reflective of, and choosing blue would have bluescreened and shut off the game, essentially killing them all. Which on some level he wants and considers a mercy for him as well as them
>>151689567Popular horror game where the premise is the AI convinces you that you are "jumping" between bodies, only for it to be revealed at the finale that you are just uploading copies of yourself into every new body, and that the old bodies you leave behind are still alive, just trapped in whatever shit situation you had to jump from.
>>151689264I'm not surprised Gangle and Ragatha fell for it. They're ultimately very trusting people. And it also makes sense that Pomni went along with it even while she had her doubts. What surprises me is that Zooble fell for it. They're usually portrayed as much more levelheaded and skeptical. It sort of needed to happen that way for the story to work. Ragatha and Gangle don't have the dispositions to make the "what's the fucking hold up?" conversation work when Pomni hesitates. And if Zooble didn't buy into Abel's story either that would literally make half the cast (Jax, Zooble, & Pomni) that didn't buy into the "escape"I think it would've made more sense if Zooble argued more from the standpoint of "It's obvious this is a load of shit, but let's go along with it anyways on the .001% chance that it's true. Either we press the blue button and nothing happens, or we get to escape. Either way it doesn't hurt to try."

>"-WILL CELEBRATE BY GIVING YOU GUYS ANYTHING YOU ASK FOR">Goose said the next episode is her most self-indulgent episode yetI think the next episode will have Caine give them "power" over the circus to create whatever they want, as sort of an apology for trolling them. Obviously, they are not in a good mindset at the moment, and their creations will be whatever weird shit Goose wants, which don't even need to make sense, as they are all fake digital creations.

The worst part about this episode is that it wasn't very funny
Things confirmed in this episode:-Caine was responsible for the first abstraction-Kinger knows about the basic functions of the CircusThings heavily implied in this episode:-Abstraction is caused by Caine fucking with people's minds too much-Jax isn't abstracting because of psychological strain, he's under psychological strain because he's abstracting after Caine fucked with his head too much-There is no escape and the basic idea of it is nonsensical (from Kinger), the "brain imprint" theory is almost certainly correct
>>151689739I think that's part of the appeal
>>151689753He is in control of whatever Kinger or whoever participated making him allow him to be in control of, what that is is unknown as of know, and everything he says should also be considered as a bluff because its clear he does things so characters like him but he is not overly brutal with it since all characters except Kinger are consistent since the pilot, i mean if he altered their minds every episode or so, it would be noticed. Episode was pretty kino ngl and Zach`s cameo made my day. Now its up to Goose to not fuck it up going further. Imho, true ending will be the one which will make TDAC a continous cashcow unless Goose really has that much control to end it, but we will see.

>>151689655Depends on how much you changed the wording, but too much and its a different scenario. As established, choosing blue is willingly putting yourself in the line of fire for a result that can be completed by everyone choosing red. It's not like "only the first 50% to choose red will live" no, everyone will live if they choose red. That is clear from the scenario. Someone choosing Blue isn't "saving me" because I chose to have no risk, all they did was force me to save them by also choosing blue, but there's nowhere in the scenario that says the choice isn't simultaneous, so they chose to die while I chose red secure in the faith that people would realize red is the logical answer.Again, choosing blue is a purely performative action that forces others to follow suit to save them. It's completely selfish.

>>151689509My man Jax being straight is the biggest surprise so far
>>151689638>Episode 8 is just a 30 minute long TADC merch ad
>>151689796THIS. When the entire joke is that everything is bullshit then there's no space for good comedy. This is the LEAST funny episode of the entire show, and it's not for lack of trying, as there's still plenty of jokes. But the tone is all wrong due to the twist. So it's really unfunny until the very end, which is terrible after plenty of consistently hilarious episodes.

>>151689482>>151689739I'm not even super into Pomni but it's insane to me how some people can't feel attracted to someone if they aren't outright sexualized. >>151690112shitspedition turdy turd sucks
ep 8 is probably gonna be the "breaking of the fellowship" moment
>>151690041Oh, well, the people making the show said it was le super sad, therefore it couldn't possibly be a cynical marketing ploy.Literally every motherfucking modern show and movie plays this card, anon.
>>151690057The real dilemma is that I'm not even the original anon, I just restarted the argument for fun.
spitting theoryfags for the sake of spiting theory fags only works if you manage to deliver something equally good or better. Otherwise you just get the Last Jedi
>>151689915>>151690093The problem with Deltarune is that Toby puts freaky shit in his games like the forgotten man and "YOU COULDN'T FIND YOUR HAND" which obviously implies tons of shit. He purposefully puts obscure data on strange parts of the code knowing fans will obsess over every single detail, so making fun of fans acting the way YOU wanted them to is extra shitty. At least in TADC they never teased the fans that way, Toby is the type of freak who would put secret codes that you need to dig the code to find.
>>151690159>people can't have sincere feelings about a journey that's spanned years coming to an end
>>151689844It's either SOMA or they're all just AIs.
>>151690118>Western Society became what it was because there was a period in time where we just killed criminalsANY society only exists because of collaboration. Helping the elderly, the young, the sick. These are our blues. It is a difference in philosophy. And it started with blue, whether you like it or notIn man's oldest hearts, there are blue buttonsFor if everyone were red, there would be no sickness and no society
>>151688441Isn't Scratch the first word of the sentence?
>>151689789>Zooble crashes out next episode and her whole emotional support whatsit shtick fades because her outlook was thrown back in her face and doesn't know how to...well, put herself back together.
>>151690011I can't imagine anything major happening at the current pace, it's just not possible.
>>151690182It's 4chan anon, they just hate genuine emotions that isn't some form of snarky detachment
>>151689915>the team probably had time to incorporate a bunch of side content pertaining to the retarded theories the fanbase cooked up.HELL NO lolthe fanbase version of mike is more kino than anything toby and his tranny pals ever came up with
>>151687601>MATRIXFAGS BTFORetard
>>151690189Notice how this anon gets more schizophrenic as he replies. So I'm just going to keep calling him a retard.
>>151690171This guy is right but he also quit writing his books because his fans figured it all out
>>151690093>mikecest is top tier.it was more cringy than anything.would've been better if toby never aknowledged mike in any way after chapter 2
>>151688531watched mandalore's video on it and got sad when he shit on the protagonist for being retarded because every behavior he mocked is something I do IRL
>>151690182That's valid, but people are trying to say that the VAs were crying because the endings just so sad when it could be a myriad of other things which make it altogether shoddy evidence. The show does seem to go for a very comfy wholesome aspect so a tear-wrenching ending makes sense tho
>>151690226I'm having fun with it, tardoYou're a filthy libertarian (in spirit) and I'm a filthy commie (in spirit)We were never going to agree
>>151690252>>151690252>>151690252>>151690252
>>151690188Or it’s something else, which would be really spooky
>>151690234>This guy is right but he also quit writing his books because he already got rich and can do whatever he wants now fixed that for you
>>151690097>the actual plot twist of the whole show is actually that all of the characters willingly chose to put themselves into the Circus knowing full well everything that it entailed with their motivation being that their real lives are just generally shit in a mundane way and agreed to have their memories removed but they are always disatisified with the escapism and try to escape it every single time and it's an absurdist commentary on the human condition and how humans are never satisifed>the ending is just where they leave, wake up and have all their memories back and agree to just go back into the Circus all over againyour reaction?
>>151690093>mikecestThe fuck? Since when was that an incest ship? I only saw people refer to it as "polymikes" or some shit.
What was this about?
>>151688176jax will kill everyone and you will be mad
>>151690182I mean... he's right though. Almost every piece of modern media does the "we all cried after recording it" bit, it's to get people more invested and hyped. There's a good chance that Toby Fox will do it when the final Deltarune chapter is about to be released.
>>151690330literally just to make him seem like a more well rounded human with human emotions and motivations and an elaborate backstory and lore with Kinger since Caine knew this would make it seem more beleivable. The really disturbing part is when you realize that literally every aspect of the whole thing was part of the adventure right from the very start, including the npc acting suspicious, all just to serve the narrative and make it seem convincing. The adventure was already in play and rolling before the episode even began.
>>151687592I just thought it was such a common thing that it didn't need pointing out.
>>151688087imagine you program an AI gamemaster for your cool video game and it starts obessessing over the real world, asking you questions about you and your office from a webcam it hacked and trying to find a way out
