The characters hussie bothers to give attention too are given a lot of interesting things to do and think about. Karkat has a lot of development, and gamzee is turned into a monster, which at first was interesting, even if long term it sucked. Eridan was a tragic yet very easily hateable villain. and i think my favorite part, which is vriska in act 5 act 2. Her character in that part is just. idk. You see her go from the worst of the worst to the one who wants to break free of that more than any other troll. And she ALMOST gets there, and its cut short, by her own evil. Its beautiful. One of my favorite moments in the comic, if not my favorite. act 5 just has shit going on that i care about, its lean, theres no bullshit, nothing to wade through, no sylladex futzing or whatnot, just all go go go. It was marvelous.
