I recently greased the elevator in the apartment as it was creaking and making a few thuds Me and another neighbor taped a brush to a paint pole and greased the brakes/side pillars in every floor in a pikeman like fashion We used grease with rubber, had a blueish hue and was somewhat thick but still greasy The elevator stopped creaking afterwards but we might have spread rust dust on to the brakes since we didn't clean the brush after every floor. Did we do this correctly?
>>2886299>blue greasegive us a hint which oblast your kommieblock apartment is in so i can avoid riding in the death trap with compromised brakes. slavic elevators are already enough of a gamble of getting punched in the head by a drunk croat when the doors close
>>2886345İstanbul oblast of the great watermelon Merchant's Republic of Turchia desu, anything i should do to fix said brakes? An alternative was used motor oil since we ultimately had a budget of around 10 bucks for the entire thing

>>2886409There's a mean old lady on the first floor and i think she does weird occultist stuff with her cats, don't want to pass through there Should i wipe away the grease with another brush?
