Megamare is often touted as smelling extremely aquatic and fishy (I don’t get it, I just get spicy aquatic) and Tonnerre is *the* definition of a ship on the sea, but it’s 90% tarred ship planks and only 10% sea.

>>18160220
Just tested this the other day as a matter of fact, if you like vanilla/sweet frags it’s literally made for you, that’s exactly what it is.

If you’d ever like to break into niche, try Harvest Mouse from Zoologist, and Hayloft (or Hayride, sometimes I think he swapped my samples) from Pineward. Both very good vanilla centered frags. Eau des Baux for something more mainstream as well.

Pretty nice. Opening is a blast of citrus and spice that's almost mouth watering. I initially thought there was a heavy dose of lime in Voyage to give it a tart sweetness, but lime isn't listed. There's also a bit of earthiness here, which I initially thought was vetiver, but that's not listed either, mostly 'woodsy notes'. I also get a clean laundry type musk as it dries. Kind of reminds me of TdH if it was lighter, airier, lemons rather than orange, and less vetiver. People compare this fragrance to a gin and tonic. Unfortunately, the performance seems weak.

also, I'm not a fraghead. i think it's absolutely retarded. take the video I watched just 26 minutes ago, in my search for my next scent. a woman, a fucking hot dubai barbie, that told the yt'ber before they began filming, that her favourite perfume was creed aventus. after smelling multiple cheaper scents that greatly made her squirt, she smelled aventus. she absolutelly hated it. then the yt'ber told her the brand and she immediately said that she was wrong and loves it.

Dior Homme Sport arrived today. Seems like a pretty nice and flexible fragrance for everything, enough aldehyde and citrus kick to feel fresh but also enough woods and spice to make it work in less summery climates, I’d imagine. Also a bit more obviously masculine than something like BdC, it actually feels even a bit retro somehow.

>Hugo Boss Spirit
Pretty nice. Lots of bright greens here, only the mint I can make out in particular. Everything blends together into something that smells somewhat herbal, but not medicinal. Backed by lavender and a dark leather note. Shame it got discontinued. Boss Spirit and Boss Elements I both enjoy.
>Serge Lutens Chergui
Honestly, I think this just smells like a less sweet less woody Santal Majuscule, which I greatly enjoy and will be getting a full bottle of anyways. I don't think of hay or tobacco here. I'll pass, but it's good
>Trumper Sandalwood
I was expecting a home run here since I enjoy Egoiste and Santal Majuscule, but it's just alright. Really light woods with some citrus. Reminds me of Diptyque Philosykos if you got rid of the fig. Unfortunately, this performs like a true cologne on my skin (terribly), so I'll skip this
>Beach Hut man
Minty, mossy, slightly sweet, damp, earthy. There's a certain dirty toothpaste smell I'm getting here I find discouraging. This was a similar problem I had to Eau Sauvage Parfum. Not my thing.

I also got CDG Hinoki, ADP Sandalo, and a 2001 bottle of Dior Fahrenheit.

To be fair, discussing designer fragrances is embarrassing. If you discuss one, it means that you have no experience, nothing of value to contribute, and basically try to parasite off others knowledge.

Why do women love NPC frags? I always though that perfume was generally what women do and are interested in. Lately I realized that they dont give a shit at all. If you are picking out fragrances for the sake of being more attractive and fishing compliments sauvage is literally the only thing you need.
Personally I dont give a shit because im ugly as fuck so fragcoping is useless but why is it like that? I always though women had more refined tastes when it came to all things sensory.

Why do you prefer a girl in a simple white dress instead of whatever high fashion shit is now in?
Why do you listen to music over simple headphones instead of a 100k audiophile setup?

The truth is nobody cares about your particular flavor of autism and most people like accesible simple stuff. Being a 4chan incel your personality probably revolves around 'liking' obscure and inaccesible stuff and you see this as being 'friggin superior to normies'.I know that it's hard to understand that not all people derive their personal value from being contrarian but still you can't be this disconnected from reality. >Guerlain Samsara EDP
Florals and sandalwood with a bias towards the former. I don't get rose, but I do get jasmine with a slightly powdery iris/violet in the back. Some citruses to give it light and vanilla to make it soft. Jasmine, sandalwood, iris, and vanilla I think are the main players here. Fragrantica lists this as a predominantly powdery scent, but it's really not that powdery.
>2001 Bottle of Fahrenheit
Surprised at how well Fahrenheit has held up through reformulations. Maybe more gasoline/ozonic than modern, more leather, but really not that much. And by modern, I mean whatever they had at the mall. Supposedly, newer bottles resemble vintage more than Fahrenheit of the early 2010s, but I can't say anything about that. Regardless, over-spraying current Fahrenheit is a better proposition than rationing a $200+ vintage.
>ADP Sandalo
Citrus with some spice up top. Some sandalwood comes through with time. Tiny sweetness from tonka/amber. Mass appealing everyday type of fragrance, but one of the better ones I've tried of that sort.
>CDG Hinoki
Very piney, but significantly more crisp than something like Yatagan. You know those Vicks Nasal sticks you use when your nose is stuffy? The greens and the woods here almost have that level of engagement in the opening, and I mean that in a good way. Smells like a wooden temple in the forest, but one that is foreign to me.

Having the weirdest experience right now.

Just tried out Lalique Lion for the first time, and while I usually hear people compare it to NYI, which I totally get, but honestly it smells really similar to Iron Duke to me.

I know, I know, they share zero notes between the two but I swear it’s there. It’s like Lion is recreating this metallic-y leather scent from herbal notes. I even sprayed a touch of Iron Duke on me and it’s more… I can’t think of how to describe it, poignant? it’s sharper, almost like ammonia, chemical-y, where as Lion feels like they’re trying to recreate a leather scent via herbs, but I still get this similar feel. I’m not saying they’re 1 for 1, just weirdly similar.

Anyone else ever get this?

is it contrarian to stick to what you like while making fun of things that you don’t and are popular? news to me.

og formulation is god tier, srs. i recently went full retard and bought a bunch of vintage a*men as well as its flankers (pure malt, havane, leather, etc.) such good fragrances that i enjoy wearing around the house and bring me comfort. you will almost never encounter someone else wearing a*men. if you buy, get the older box/sprayer that is branded "thierry mugler" instead of just "mugler."
