>>18159875>I'm thinking of getting this one just to get an idea of what the scent is supposed to be.patchouli burnt caramel gourmandnot my sort of thing, more of a clubbing scent
I'm looking for something that smells or at least gives the feel of a ship in the middle of a rainy ocean Looking for marine notes, woods, maybe something funky or fishy but crisp at the same time

>>18160007The best kind of poster. Kudos to you friend. (Also, if you did actually ask something, you’d have to wade through a bunch of sassy bullshit remarks anyway)>>18160220Just tested this the other day as a matter of fact, if you like vanilla/sweet frags it’s literally made for you, that’s exactly what it is. If you’d ever like to break into niche, try Harvest Mouse from Zoologist, and Hayloft (or Hayride, sometimes I think he swapped my samples) from Pineward. Both very good vanilla centered frags. Eau des Baux for something more mainstream as well.
My wife likes the Lacoste white that I bought years ago and I am looking for something similar that lasts a little longer and has better sillage, preferably an EDP. I'm a newfag when it comes to /frag/ and I want to smell like a refined dad.

>>18160458sounds like a great idea if the standard le male isn’t gay enough for you
>>18160184Based
>>18159581Pretty nice. Opening is a blast of citrus and spice that's almost mouth watering. I initially thought there was a heavy dose of lime in Voyage to give it a tart sweetness, but lime isn't listed. There's also a bit of earthiness here, which I initially thought was vetiver, but that's not listed either, mostly 'woodsy notes'. I also get a clean laundry type musk as it dries. Kind of reminds me of TdH if it was lighter, airier, lemons rather than orange, and less vetiver. People compare this fragrance to a gin and tonic. Unfortunately, the performance seems weak.

not sure about you, but every perfume choice I make is based on normal (non-fraghead) biological woman. never watch yt recommendations by men, unless you are gay.also, I'm not a fraghead. i think it's absolutely retarded. take the video I watched just 26 minutes ago, in my search for my next scent. a woman, a fucking hot dubai barbie, that told the yt'ber before they began filming, that her favourite perfume was creed aventus. after smelling multiple cheaper scents that greatly made her squirt, she smelled aventus. she absolutelly hated it. then the yt'ber told her the brand and she immediately said that she was wrong and loves it.fucking smoothbrains. consider the rope.

Dior Homme Sport arrived today. Seems like a pretty nice and flexible fragrance for everything, enough aldehyde and citrus kick to feel fresh but also enough woods and spice to make it work in less summery climates, I’d imagine. Also a bit more obviously masculine than something like BdC, it actually feels even a bit retro somehow.

shamplin'(1/2)>Hugo Boss SpiritPretty nice. Lots of bright greens here, only the mint I can make out in particular. Everything blends together into something that smells somewhat herbal, but not medicinal. Backed by lavender and a dark leather note. Shame it got discontinued. Boss Spirit and Boss Elements I both enjoy.>Serge Lutens CherguiHonestly, I think this just smells like a less sweet less woody Santal Majuscule, which I greatly enjoy and will be getting a full bottle of anyways. Why do women love NPC frags? I always though that perfume was generally what women do and are interested in. Lately I realized that they dont give a shit at all. If you are picking out fragrances for the sake of being more attractive and fishing compliments sauvage is literally the only thing you need.Personally I dont give a shit because im ugly as fuck so fragcoping is useless but why is it like that? >>18162556Ombre nomad
>>18161571(2/2)>Guerlain Samsara EDPFlorals and sandalwood with a bias towards the former. I don't get rose, but I do get jasmine with a slightly powdery iris/violet in the back. Some citruses to give it light and vanilla to make it soft. Jasmine, sandalwood, iris, and vanilla I think are the main players here. Fragrantica lists this as a predominantly powdery scent, but it's really not that powdery.>2001 Bottle of FahrenheitSurprised at how well Fahrenheit has held up through reformulations. Maybe more gasoline/ozonic than modern, more leather, but really not that much. And by modern, I mean whatever they had at the mall. Supposedly, newer bottles resemble vintage more than Fahrenheit of the early 2010s, but I can't say anything about that. Regardless, over-spraying current Fahrenheit is a better proposition than rationing a $200+ vintage.>ADP SandaloCitrus with some spice up top. Some sandalwood comes through with time. Tiny sweetness from tonka/amber. Mass appealing everyday type of fragrance, but one of the better ones I've tried of that sort.>CDG HinokiVery piney, but significantly more crisp than something like Yatagan. You know those Vicks Nasal sticks you use when your nose is stuffy? The greens and the woods here almost have that level of engagement in the opening, and I mean that in a good way. Smells like a wooden temple in the forest, but one that is foreign to me.

I'm completely new to fragrances in general but I really like Amazingreen. Can anybody recommend anything similar that has more of a pronounced viney/planty scent? Something reminiscent of a botanical glasshouse for lack of a better description?

Having the weirdest experience right now. Just tried out Lalique Lion for the first time, and while I usually hear people compare it to NYI, which I totally get, but honestly it smells really similar to Iron Duke to me. I know, I know, they share zero notes between the two but I swear it’s there. It’s like Lion is recreating this metallic-y leather scent from herbal notes. I even sprayed a touch of Iron Duke on me and it’s more… I can’t think of how to describe it, poignant? it’s sharper, almost like ammonia, chemical-y, where as Lion feels like they’re trying to recreate a leather scent via herbs, but I still get this similar feel. I’m not saying they’re 1 for 1, just weirdly similar. Anyone else ever get this?
>>18162948>>18162966Thanks that's great, I'll have to try these ones out when I can.
