tissot - fuck hamiltons they are boring and ugly, and that's compared to even tissot
longines - very nice watches and cool to say.
oris - Nomos are for HOMOS
omega - BOND JAMES BOND AND MOON
cartier - I think they invented the first watch you could swing off your cock piloting a biplane, very cool horology
AP - royal oak is cool, simple as
PP - Grand Complications is the only non shitter watch besides the 3d dome ones that cost millions.

The OP36 is also nice. The green one especially.
The modern Datejust would be highly improved if the lugs were brushed, just like the older models.
The modern Submariner and GMT Master are too fat and gaudy.
Everything else is meh at best. Yes even the Daytona.
The worst modern Rolex is the Sky Dweller.

I heeded his advice and have been enjoying the watch ever since, nobody will ever notice it unless i specifically point it out.
>>
>>18161192
The short answer is no. More often than not what looks like just some dirt is something going on under the surface of the dial that you can't easily reach or some kond of corrosion you're just going to spreat and make worse.

Dials are very delicate and made with meticulous applications of different materials. It's not like a stainless steel case you can lightly polish and make good as new.

I've been interested in the PRX, so I finally tried two of them on today. I feel like the 40mm is slightly too big for my wrist, while the 35mm is slightly too small. Now I'm thinking about the Christopher Ward Twelve because it also has that seafoam green textured dial while being available in 36mm.

As an aside, I was amused by the Tissot salesman mistaking my Seiko for a Gentleman.

They literally throw the movement in the trash and put a new one in there. There is no "service".
Your movement is losing 10 seconds a day? Into the trash it goes.

Then again there a people who claim this doesn't matter. Nobody needs their watch to be accurate anyway. Why not just throw things away instead of repairing them? Get with the times grandpa.

It can be regulated to some extent, it has a very basic inertia regulation system with screws on the spokes of the balance wheel. The beat error on the other hand cannot be regulated.
The rest of the movement is identical to an ETA 2824 so if needed, you could likely swap the escapement for that of a 2824 if the silicon fork shits itself in 10 years.
Full movement replacements aren't done with Powermatics, if needed the escapement is replaced. The Sistem 51 is the one that's fully replaced in case of any irregularity as it cannot be disassembled at all.
>>
>>18161641
Can you even open the caseback on that plastic garbage in order to replace shitstem 51? I thought when it brakes it's over.
>>
>>18161643
Probably depends on the exact model. If you're thinking of the bioceramic Five Fathoms, I would not trust it to survive an opening procedure.
Then again, I don't trust it to handle a shock on its lugs, that thing feels like crap.
>>
>>18161643
>>18161645
Yes, the Swatchpain's caseback can be removed. They didn't weld it shut. The movement would be replaced if it needs service.

As an aside, why does the idea of the System 51 make people so angry? If you don't like it, don't buy it. Seems simple enough?

Why give someone something you know they're never going to use?
Does a windsurfing boom make a good gift for people who don't windsurf?

Gift giving is not hard. Identify what the person wants and doesn't have, not what you think they don't know they want or what you actually want.
If you can't think of anything, you're probably not very good friends with that person or they already have everything they want, in which case they probably would rather have a nice dinner with friends than another useless trinket.
