>>18161455How fucking retarded are you people, you more than anyone else should know how your fucking shoes fit. There's even so many sayings for that. Do everyone a favor and kill yourself kindly.
>>18161470Okay thanks
>>18161412storm welt, yes. picrel is a split or reverse welt.
Should I get an Islay or a Coniston?Pic related is the Islay
>>18161618This is the ConistonWould be dark brown scotch grain for either of them
>>18161619>>18161618I feel like the Islay is easier to dress down?Looks a bit more casual, I like the metal eyelets too
>>18161618Islay

>>18161619i think the coniston would be more versatile. how do you feel about roughout?
>>18161965those are the deer. they have a taupe suede cap toe
>>18161973It looks cool but I have more than enough suede shoes and boots, I wanted something with normal leather (even if scotch grain)
>>18161998the C&J scotchgrain is extremely nice.
>>18161619You should get these.Or one of the division road exclusive pairs
black cxl
>>18161676Damm, I thought they would age better
thoughts on the new Jim Green African trooper boots yay or nay ?
>>18161299Pulled the trigger on some Overlanders by Nick’s, and some boots by an English company called William Lennon (pic related). Apparently they use brass thread to stick the soles.Should get both around November.
>>18161619If you're willing to get Coniston in another leather then they are having a sale for it in Chestnut Milled Calf and Sand Hurricane Hide.
>>18161965Those brass look very cool. But why wax deerskin? What's the purpose?
>>18162475they look interesting, but that polycarbonate heel counter seems like a bad choice in the long run. it is a relatively cheap boot though so by the time that counter rips through the leather you've probably already gotten your money's worth of wears.
>>18162310I'm not into barefoot boots I don't want to do foot exercises to prevent injury from wearing barefoot boots. If you're into barefoot boots then those are the best you can buy and a very reasonable price.
Love me Frank'sLove me Wesco's'ate JK's, not racist just don't like them Simple as
>>18161621Anyone know if the broguing at the toes is usually an extra piece of leather on brogue boots/shoes? Kinda like a real toecap but just with decorative perforations.
>>18162598in modern brogue shoes they overlap the panels, so that the places with brogues don't actually have holes or the lining beneath. You can see that by where the stitches are. At the toe they glue a skived piece of the upper leather on the heel stiffener. Not really the same as a real toe cap to keep the toe slim.
>>18162489What would you say is a good heel counter for a long lasting boot?
>>18162806leather, always. the problem with stiff, synthetic, counters is that they can eventually abrade away the leather and tear through the back of your boot. for the price of that boot it's a bit of a wash though, it would be much more unacceptable on a higher priced boot.
business idea: leather counter with celastic on the back
