The beat rate is one of them, the weird 3.5hz beatrate made me think they either pulled a powermatic 80 to try to get a little more power reserve and still fall short of Rolex and other competitors, or they have to make it run slower to keep from grenading and added power reserve is one of the things they use to help cope.One of the other things that holds me back is their hands and applied markers. Considering selling the DJ and the sub and upgrading to a solid gold day date with a champagne dial. I can never remember what day it is and I love the watch, legibility be damned. The explorer is my go-to camping/hiking/shooting/every day watch, the DJ is my work watch, and the sub goes unworn. The GMT would be a better work watch for me (pilotfag) but the pepsi is unobtanium at msrp.
