Nice manlet cope shoes, retard. My Japanese schoolgirl ex-girlfriend wore something similar, it looks cute with a miniskirt. It's kinda sexy and kinky when you pull her asshole open while she has the massive boots on her feet. Made her a bit taller. Not sure if it can help you though.
Also, spending $1000 dollars on a pair of shoes isn't gonna make you more attractive, it just makes you look like a small tryhard goblino.

i don't know shit about watches. Got this meme a while ago but I feel like it doesn't fit right. I either choke my wrist or it hovers (or it sits at the top or bottom of the wrist). What do? wrist size ~6.3 inch

Maybe my wrist is too flat and the band too tight. I'm thinking of buying the a158w

300-400. I have a Casio Oceanus and a PRX 35 both are around 300$. The Oceanus is solar-powered, has an eternal calendar, and resets the time a few times a day via an atomic clock. It can also sync to your mobile phone via Bluetooth.
The PRX is just a backup to wear if I need to leave in a hurry and am in no mood to fiddle around with an automatic.

Good eve, Frens. One Anon guessed right the other night when I showed one of the new watches that has come through in my herd. new copypasta just dropped

I think you should collect watches like a game of Chess. Each piece like in a strategy game.

King - This is your High Horology one piece to be protected at all costs. Like A. Lange & Söhne, Patek, Vacheron, AP, Breguet

Queen - This is for your Wife. One piece to move anywhere on any occasion. Like Cartier.

Bishop - This is your Racing Chronograph, zipping around the game. Like Omega Speedmaster, Daytona, Zenith el primero

Knight - This is your Pilot GMT, traversing time zones across the game. Like Rolex GMT Master 2, Grand Seiko, Tudor

Rook - This is your Diver, deep into the game, straight up and down. Like Omega Planet Ocean, Submariner, Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

Pawn - These are your daily warriors, a selection of micro brands or armoured G-Shocks. Ready for battle scars.

1 x King
1 x Queen
2 x Bishops
2 x Knights
2 x Rooks
8 x Pawns

'Sup losers?
Just came by to tell you that bitches don't give a fuck about watches, they only give a fuck about how much it cost so they know your financial status.
At best they know Rolex and will guess it cost you 1k or sth.
So here's what you do.
You get an Apple watch, one of the top end models and download a banking app there. Just go about your day with your bank account balance visible and you're set.
Now you've signaled your status without being fucked over by "(((luxury)))" brands. Anything else is autism and cope at this point.

It's not even 60% Swiss. It's 60% value, which is money spent in Switzerland. So they can just make the watch entirely in China for say 40 dollars and spend 60 in Switzerland on advertising and it's still called a Swiss watch.

lol no. The Sky-Dweller is way too complex for a replica manufacturer to copy. Nor is it popular enough to make the effort worth it in terms of cost outlay.

>In the late 1950s and early 1960s, both Seiko and a consortium of Switzerland's top watch firms, including Patek Philippe, Piaget, and Omega, fiercely competed to develop the first quartz wristwatch.

>In 1962, the Centre Electronique Horloger (CEH), consisting of around 20 Swiss watch manufacturers, was established in Neuchâtel to develop a Swiss-made quartz wristwatch, while simultaneously in Japan, Seiko was also working on an electric watch and developing quartz technology.

>On 25 December 1969, Seiko unveiled the Astron, the world's first quartz watch, which marked the beginning of the quartz revolution. The first Swiss quartz analog watch – the Ebauches SA Beta 21 – arrived at the 1970 Basel Fair.

The seamaster 300s are legitimately too big regardless. They're made in 42mm and 44mm and the fuckers are 14mm thick. It's probably the fattest 300m luxury diver. Even shitters with 3rd party movements are routinely 40mm and under 13mm thick.

Proportions. Look at the relationships of all the circles in terms of size and placement to the center. Include the bezel, the indices, length of hands, sunken subdials, hash marks for the minutes as well as chronograph registers, etc. Once you see the proportional perfection, you'll start to understand it.

I will say however that the 105.012 did it best. 1861s with short hour marker indices and the lowered chronograph lume flag destroy the perfection.

Not OmegaDrunk, but I prefer the Speedmaster to what you attached. I've never been a huge fan of dress chronos but I think two register chronos look better on dressy watches.

The popularity of the Speedmaster is purely down to what >>18174980 said, along with the Moon/NASA crap.
If you want something nicer, you have to pay a lot more.
With the Speedy, you can say, "Yeah, I could have had the Daytona, but the Moonwatch story really resonates with me."

To be fair, that Panthere was a men's watch when it was released.

Men should not wear women's watches. The gray area is for unisex watches. A man and a woman can each wear a size L Tank, for example, and it's not specifically called the "men's" or "women's" size.

>How on earth is a panthere a men's watch?

Men's Cartier sizing is still on the small side these days, but it was downright tiny before 2000.
The Santos-Dumont was 26x39mm. The Panthere "Jumbo" was 29x39mm The Santos was comparatively large at 29x41mm

The idea with the Panthere was to look more like a bracelet than a watch.

Everything you said is correct if you invert the claim. The spacing, incidentally, was the same strategy Rolex used when they moved to the El Primero, given that their prior Daytona variants were poorly received.

>>18175069
There is definitely cache to the 'Moonwatch', but it wouldn't sell if it was ugly. Notice how unpopular the X-33 is, and yet it is used extensively for NASA. Fortis watches are similarly not as popular. You need a great watch to start with. One of the flaws of the Daytona is that it's illegible in many lighting conditions; it's another plus for the traditional Speedy. As a practical watch, there are many reasons people buy a Speedy, and the more reasons exist, the wider net is cast for the consoooooomer.

>>18175082
It's a surprise. I've never owned one from this maker before, but I'll have you guys guess from a lume shot when it comes in.

>>18175094
Yup! It's gonna be tough to photograph though...the damn hands disappear at the wrong angle. I do like it a lot, but that area of illegibility has always been a minus for this model.

>but it wouldn't sell if it was ugly.
It's not ugly. It's just boring. It is just about the plainest chronograph possible.
But people like boring. When noobs buy their first big boy watch, they don't want something they'll fall out of love with in a couple months. Better chronographs, like the Zenith El Primero, have polarizing details that some people like and others despise. The genius of the Speedmaster is that it is pure unflavored oatmeal.
>>
>>18175109
That's not really a discussion you can have with people who make "Speedmaster" their whole personality, though.

Thanks Citizenchad! It's been absurdly busy, but nothing to complain about at all. Everything else is running well, and I can't wait until the final piece is in (hopefully tomorrow), though I'll need to take it to the boutique for a new leather strap for sure once it's in.

I really like the broad arrow, but it definitely 'feels' vintage like the 60's watches that all had reflective polished hands and are all illegible from the black front point of view. It's an ideal 're-issue'; all the best old parts (applied Omega logo, interesting handset, long hour markers, reverse bezel) put with the best new parts (lyre lugs, better bracelet,etc.). I wanted make sure I got one before they climbed any higher in prices; probably should have gotten it years ago, but there were more important ones to get then.

Is everything well with you? How is the Citizen running?

>>18175109
I can agree that it's not polarizing, but that's attributable to the perfection of the design. If something is perfect, there's nothing anyone can complain about, and there's nothing to 'improve'. So, it just exists, and that's about it. My broad arrow has design flaws (i.e. the hands obscuring the subdials, the bezel being illegible most of the time, etc.)...and that's why it's not as much of a favorite in the community.

Why does this thread hate bittercel so much? He is unironically the best poster we have ever had. Here's my reasons:

bittercel is always brutally honest. He is like water, he will find a crack in your watch and pour in from there. He is the criticism we need. You never get that in watchuseek or reddit, you only get an echo chamber of “nice watch, wear it in good health, champ” bullshit. Not with bittercel, he does not care for your feelings which is why he will tell you the truth. Yes, your watch is too big for you, yes it’s a shitter, yes the lugs look like shit, yes the movement is crap. You, as a critically thinking individual, should embrace this.

We are all protected by anonymity here which is the point of this site. Avatarfags are pathetic going against this. Take reversocel for example; he couldn’t handle a bit of heat from bittercel and immediately fucked off to r/watches as soon as someone wasn’t sucking his cock over his shitters and pens lmfao.

Yes, bittercel may seem bitter at first, but he is the counter force to all this circle-jerking in here. He is harsh but fair. You hold the fact he never posts a watch against him, but that is merely him not taking a side. He is not a brain-dead fanboy to brands (other than Rolex, but Rolex is Rolex). This way he maintains his unbiased position.

And the best part of bittercel? He is always there for you, right here, in this thread.

I have a sellita powered watch that's getting the thing where if you wind the crown, it just makes the rotor spin like crazy instead. Apparently it's not an uncommon issue, and would probably cost more than I paid for the watch to service it. why are avatarfags so livid today?

I'm not a /wt/ regular, only here sometimes, and on occasion I whip up a bait chart where I copy the last one and move shit around at random, then I post it, and almost every time multiple anons sperg out. A while ago I was accused of being an orient shill, a poorfag, and a filipino (kek)

Absolutely trashy knock around watch. Get a real watch like a Casio or a Invicta.
>>
>>18175323
that watch is 25mm. it't tiny.
>>
>>18175323
i'm like 6.8 inches yeah that might be a difference
i'm unsure why your watch needs to be larger for larger wrists tho. wouldn't the watchband size be all that matters?
