How do you feel about brogued, cap toe, boots? I really can't decide if I like them or not because I'm not really sure what fit you would pair them with. Just looking at the style by itself I think they're neat but I'm not sure I could really work it into my fits. I dress white collar at work and I feel like my style after work or on the weekends is too casual for them.
>>18304931Just get one with it lowered a quarter inch like the Whites cutter or cruiser.Or just ask.
>>18305225Cap toe is more casual than plain toe, brogue is more casual than an unadorned cap toe. Generally the more adorned the boot the more casual it is.
>>18305225its a small addition that just adds a little visual interest, i don't think it makes them any more or less "dressy", Service boots aren't dressy in the first place anyway.

I bought some Redwing boots last month and I'm really loving them, however I can't find a good 8 inch boot that I like, what brands can I look at to buy some good quality 8 inch boots? Looking for a fully black one like pic related but with black laces as well
>>18305960Frank's patriot, you can buy black leather laces on their website since you'd be ordering from them or Nick's which is the best place to buy leather laces.

>>18305947it really isn't but the standard for dress are in the toilet globally so if you wear a service boot with lug soles it's still dresser than 95% of people as long as it's a smooth leather

>>18305960just buy pic related and some black laces
>>18306076These are 10 inches
>>18306091luckily for you you can order them in 8 inches
I just bought my first pair of dark brown suede chelseasI wore them all day in the office but didn't take any photos. They are made by TLB on their "Madison" last with a low profile vibram commando sole. Very good so far, I wore them with wool socks and they were still a little loose so maybe I need a tongue pad. I use tongue pads on all of my loafers so I guess I need it here too because no laces.Madison last has a nice round shape that's not very pointy and doesn't have any toe bump so I'm happy it doesn't look too gay - that was my biggest worry in a chelsea. The TLB suede is still among the best I've seen and it has a very luxurious nap, that's a little gay but I'll take it. Maybe a coarser, rougher, lower quality suede would've been less fruity (like what Alden uses) but it is what it is.

>>18307426its the straight version of chelseas
>>18307475For real? I can’t imagine they would be too difficult to style and not look gay. I exclusively have been wearing 1940s wide cut selvedge denim or trousers. I’ve been finding out that narrow footwear looks really great when you contrast it against a pair of wide cut bottoms. It just looks authentically vintage. Most of the “Chelseas are gay” sentiment is because literal gay men will pair them with a pair of slim/skinny cut jeans or chinos.

Just convert your US size to UK (1 full size down) and you should be good. If you order from TLB's website you'll get an email from the owner asking about sizing to make sure you're good. Huge fan of the brand I wear the split toes for anything. I think they're versatile enough to wear with jeans but I actually wore mine the other day with a suit jacket with a client and it was fine
>>18308587You lace your boots like a retard.
Please recommend a cheaper alternative.
>>18308604>he doesn't know about over under lacing for boots ngmi
>>18308626Just get Docs or Solovairs
>>18308562these are cool
>>18308587>no treesIt's over
>>18308682You are now aware trees ONLY matter immediately after taking your shoe off when they still have moisture from your feet in them. Once the moisture is absorbed they're not serving any purpose
>>18308369>Black only works with all black or black and white fits.Black looks fine with casual fits, which I’m assuming is what most people spend a majority of their time dressing in
>>18308626there's nothing like guidi at a cheaper price. you can get close with mto from other brands but at that point you're paying the same, if not more.
>>18308686Is that fit supposed to look good? Because it doesn't look good to me. The black pops out too much, I guarantee you that would look a lot better if you swapped the black for something else.
>>18308736correct
>>18308626Officine Creative has this same sort of worn black leather look. I have no idea about the build quality however, they might be more of a fashion brand.
>>18308544>Black CXL is a teacore leathernot necessarily, it can come struck through too. Just look at the edges to know what you're getting, if they are black, its not "teacore".
Had to pop in the office today in my sunday casual fit.
Are Moma boots good quality? These ones look appetizing
Can this be fixed?
Is white‘s dress leather good?
>>18308875yeah its pretty good
>>18308578Say you got them during a sale
>>18308889Is it thinner than most of their other leathers? Since it's a dress leather. Saw a euro store selling Whites MP in brown dress.
>>18308761Damn that last looks goodWhat are these?
Heavyweight Vibergs. Still like how they kept the leather at full thickness all around so you can see how chunky these are, especially in the counter.
>>18308942look like cj for ralph lauren
>>18308899its dress in name only. in reality its thicker than most on the market
>>18309145he boot too big for he gotdamn feet
>>18308955That's a lot of stitching.
>>18309210they're famous for high SPI but it's a meme since you're punching more holes
I’ve got this circular thing at the heel in the right pair of my White’s MP and can feel it. What should I do?
>>18309241fill the tub with water and throw them in, take the battery out of your phone and toss it. Get on the bus and head west, I will find you.
>>18309241air bubble?
>>18309213True. I've seen videos of people owning both older pairs and newer pairs, and the older ones with lower spi looks better. It was already one of the tightest stitching dunno why they decided to go full autist with it.

>>18308875Yes >>18308895I did >>18308592thanks I’ll probably get them. Do they go on sale ever?

>>18309361>sour grapes
>>18309371I don't think you understand what the expressin means, Pablo.
What is the best way to lace boots?
>>18309384The normal way. Anything else is faggotry (european).
>>18309359Dunno but TLB is such good value they're basically already on sale. They could be charging double for what you get
What do we know about these?
This sort of round stitching on the toe box is so ridiculously, tragically ugly. Why do manufacturers do this?
>>18309608puckering>>18309636it makes the moc toe more water resistant
>>18308942Meermin Heritage Shell Cordovan.
>>18309348Jeans are Wrangler, the color got fucked up because of lights and filter.
>>18309608I like them. They're a brand I always wanted to check out Back in the day when they were still a young brand they had some issues with QC but sounds like they've got it all figured out and they're good. Bit overpriced though. They're made in the same factory in Buffalo that makes Parkhurst and a few other brands
>>18308626Moma

>>18309912White's Semi Dress
Please, help me choose one.
>>18309926what are you going to use it for retard
>>18309935Just generally, day to day. I'm usually wearing chinos.
>>18309608They look nice. Had QC problems in the past. The price point is excellent. I like that they essentially make an N1 Boondocker for less than a grand. I will probably be buying a pair at some point next year after I've put some more miles on my White's.
>>18308544really nicewhere did you get these resoled?
>>18309926all trash btw. buy some meermin at least

Clinch Yeager boots arrived today. Amazing arch support in these things. Really amazing last shape
>>18310236Damn these look way worse than I thought. Maybe it's the angle.

>>18310236You spent WHAT on those weird looking boots? Big YIKES.
>>18310249Nah they just need breaking down and conditioning.
>>18310240>>18310243>>18310249Worth it. They are pure sexo
>>18310249>sour grapes
>>18310236what's the sizing like on these?most say the CN-S last fits TTS, S&S claims you should go half size down
>>18310257Needs absolutely no breaking in. They perfectly hug the feet. Heel counter feels wonderful.
>>18310261I have pretty narrow feet, 11.5C. I took the sizing advice on S&S and went 0.5 down and I seem to have nailed it. For reverence, I go a full 1.5 down on Whites 55 last. If you’re a D width you could probably still get away with going 0.5 down on these or go TTS, but if you’re an upper D or an E you probably want to go TTS
>>18310265thanks for the infodon't listen to the poors, they look great
>>18310236distinctive looking boots
>>18310271They’re a reproduction of army service boots from WWII, except Clinch did their usual trick of making it look extra sleek with a lower profile toe, and making the heel counter more curved and pronounced
>>18310236why is the boot caked up tho?
>>18310281because it matches the shape of the back of your foot
>>18310282your feet are just double cheeked up on a monday like that?those boots have ass
>>18310285Yeah, they fuck
>>18310236>>18310257>>18310262>>18310274Pretty cool. But damn those heel counters extend far back. Quite the curve on those bad boys. Is it really comfortable or are you just fucking standing on the heel counters? lel I hope for you that you're not a god damn office worker because those retards really enjoy rubbing their heel counters against the office chairs, and I'd imagine it's even easier to do with those boots.
>>18310294The heel counter is definitely pronounced, but no more pronounced than a pair of whites. It’s actually really comfortable, they hug the heel. I’m a geotechnical engineer, so it’s a good balance of field work and office work. These things are purely casual boots though, I usually wear converse if I’m ever in the office
>flatbox is back>but it looks nothing like the previous flatbox

>>18310415Where? Can't find it in the site.
>>18310539you can't tell that from the pic.
