Is there a watch that matches this car's style?Like, something with the same color green, maybe some chrome? It's hard to tell from the pic, but the interior is like, faded pine green.
>>18308706Can't really get a good read on that colour, what about something like the seiko alpinist?
>>18308706SBGH271
>>18308711So the watch would cost like 16 times more than a car.

>>18308711Tell me more about this watch.
>>18308719That's fair. There are a lot of aftermarket strap options for the sarb017/sbp121, but otherwise yeah they mostly all come on leather. There's also the SPB155 (left one in the pic) that comes on a bracelet, and has a bit of texture on the dial that might match that interior a bit better.
Thin automatic watches? I don't require many complications, just want something manual that is sub 10mm. Also less than 40mm wide, no dinner plates please.

Could a 5 digit GMT be your only watch?
>>18308765No. Because 2 reasons mainly:1.- When you send it in for service, you need another watch for a while.2.- Bad for sports and other activities. Heavy, could be damaged, lacks functionality, etc.At the very least you need it and some sort of gshock-ish thing.
>>18308765I'd have something extra for very formal events, but otherwise sure. I mostly wear a 4 digit GMT all day no problem. And it's handy for keeping up with timezones.
>>18308763Fir example: This can be a "only watch". Not great functionality for sports but at least its light and wont be damaged easy and even if it is, is no su much drama. And doesnt need servicing.

>>18308785We've seen your watch at least 1000 times but, I took the time to think about it in a more objective manner and my conclusion is that; people don't actually realise what they're seeing here.It is an anomaly in the watch world. I won't say that it is the best value for money that you can get, because sadly this term has also been dragged through the ground and it has lost its meaning, and yet if you think about it, the fact that you can get this watch below 2000$ does not make sense.First of all, you get the, possibly, most accurate autonomous watch on the planet, no GPS gimmicks, no radio controll no internet whatever, it's just you, in the woods, knowing the atomic time without big tech and or the government being able to track you. On top of that, you literally have a feature that is usually reserved for much, Much more expensive watches- the perpetual calendar.Technicalities and specs aside, what do you get on the finishing part? It is as good as a grand seiko in terms of Hands and Marker finishing- Spotless, Sharp and no impurities or rough edges to be found. But what does GS-Level mean? Well it literally means that your Markers and Hands do have, on a macro level, better finished hands than 5 Digit Swiss Watches. It doesn't matter if this fact makes you angry or triggered or in doubt, but it is a Fact. The dial itself, the way they did the perception of depth, shouldn't work but it does and youc an even see the sunburst effect too.Okay so what about exclusivity? Well what defines exclusivity?>Low productionCheck>Locked behind the country of originCheck>Rare limited edition on top of said rarity to begin withCheckSo what about the case?Well it is not zaratsu but it still shouldn't be as good as it is. It is almost distortion free. But is it all perfect? I don't think so, no. It is too thick, the movement is ugly and the bracelet is below the standards that the dial and tech have set. But again,it's 2000$
>>18308772Love your JLC m8.Seriously, a very nice piece. Got any shots of the movement?
>>18308965I got you.
I think I have a memory problem. I had some issues with my boss at work because I didn't remember something and he was pissed off, it annoyed me but I figured whatever. So I started shopping on amazon for leather straps because I was bored with wearing rubber straps to work and wanted to see what leather was like, I was thinking about buying a 1 piece leather nato style strap and maybe some cheap 2 piece leather straps specifically to wear to work on my work watches so they couldn't be too expensive. Went to the store and bought some stuff to cook for dinner. Then when I got home I found I already had a bunch of the food that I bought. Then I went to look through some of my watch stuff to try to see what other straps I had in a box where I put extra straps in and I found a bunch of the straps that I put in my cart on Amazon this morning. I already ordered them at some point. It made me think of all the time I lose figuring out where I misplaced my water flask and how all the days run together, I thought maybe I was just tired and working too hard on nights, stuck alone on long shifts where other people called out and I had to try to pull extra weight and get through it, but now I'm scared I might have a brain tumor or something. I don't know what to do.

Can anyone who owns a Miyota 9000 series tell me if manual winding is supposed to feel very stiff and gritty? It's a brand new watch.
>>18309000POORIO LOOSORIO
>>18309000>very stiffnot really>grittysomewhat yeah
>>18308645That's very interesting anon. I hope you wear it for many years to come. Was your dad a member of the military or police/internal security? I hear that they were very popular, almost meme status among those fields in the 90s/early 2000s.
Soiko victim here with a question. The memesters say the crafter blue straps and the uncle seiko straps mog the OEM straps but I have found the OEM silicone to be one of the most comfortable straps I've ever had. I haven't used my aftermarket rubber on my diver for a few years now. In the same vein everyone says the bracelet on the grand seikos are shit but I've always been quite happy with mine. With that said I kind of want a bracelet for my diver now, but I'm afraid the meme bracelets from the internet (like strapcode) are going to be much shittier than promised. Anyone have an opinion on this? I don't desperately need another bracelet but I also don't need another watch and my consoom impulse needs to be fed with something. A bracelet is cheaper than some alternatives.
I hate the fact that redditors and poop-collectors make Casio watches look bad and childish when they're actually great watches, as everyone knows. So please, refrain from posting your pathetic wrists on the internet, thank you.

found out UMF Ruhla is reviving the old east german "Ruhla Digital" jumping hour watch from the 70s.it's not a direct reissue as the original was a cheap-as-can-be thing, with plastic crystal, alloy case and an inaccurate pin and collar type movement that could easily be a couple minutes off daily and was the butt of many jokes back in the day.this one is gonna be a better, sapphire crystal (also on the exhibition caseback), steel case and some sort of miyota movement modified for the jumping hour function and with a custom rotor. bit bigger too (41mm)

>>18310342Use/wear can be used interchangeably, you ESL retard. Carrhart autistic sperg with his casio thinks he exudes fashion, what a retard kek
>>18310343>Use/wear can be used interchangeably,Not with clothing they cannot. Just take the L. There's no need to further beclown yourself.
>>18310343Your ass smells like encrusted shit. Have you ever considered spending your money for a bidet rather than for normie sport watches?
>>18310319>Being a working middle class man with taste
>>18310335It's not only dressing like shit. It's wearing the uniform. The Rolex buyer cannot conceive of ever stepping out of line and buying or doing anything unique or even the slightest bit out of the mainstream.Lowest common denominator and all that.
>>18310348>referring to subhumans with the "it" pronoun
>>18309634Cool :)
>>18310345You literally can >>18310346I already have a bidet, my ass smells of flowers. Wanna smell it? >>18310348There is literally no other watch at that price point that can do something better than Rolex. Omega lacks OTF microadjustment in most of their watches and they wear like shit. Poorsio is plastic garbage. Grand Seicope is for autists like >>18310346 that cannot make sense of the smaller details like a good bracelet and wearing dimensions. If GS had something like Omiwatari in SS with 10 bar and microadjusmtent that would be godly.
>>18310367Bro, you literally own the lowest-tier Pooplex possible, a fucking "I wish it was still the 40s"-larping shitter. At least shut the fuck up and enjoy your watch in silence instead of coming here to shit all over the threads. Can you even get lower than that?
>>18310350>>18310348Notice how he hasn't actually posted a Rolex. He's actually just simping for other Rolex owners.
>>18310371It's irrelevant. He'll post a pic of some obvious fake and get even bitchier when called out.
>>18310371Be sure that if he does, he's gonna post a maxicase explorer, the most reddit watch of the last decade
>>18310374>Be sure that if he does, he's gonna post a maxicase explorer, the most reddit watch of the last decadeI'm gonna guess franken'ed 1601 with a Jubilee bracelet more stretched-out than his dad's asshole.
ITT: Seething casipoors that think their plastic incel watch is of taste LOL
>>18310380You post cartoon frogs on 4chan. You have no taste.
btfo
>>18310387So true. Also I'm trans btw.

How much does /wt/ think this costs?
>>18310396>Lower steel grade >Very likely 42+mm from its chunky proportions>Gaudy dial that looks manufactured in china>Shitty finishing>Stamped butterfly clasp>Integrated bracelet with female links and no complex polishingMy guess, some kind of Invicta-type chinese factory made this watch and it costs around 300 dollars retail.

Seiko service center will only regulate my watch with 4R35, which is within warranty, if it goes above +45 spd or below -35 spd. It's joever bros.
>>18310440>Seiko service centerWhy would you ever go there? I'm a Seikofag and i avoid them, i found a local watchmaker i can trust and he does all the stuff for me cheaper than they do, you should too.
>>18310380It’s a field/outdoor/work watch, I’m not trying to impress the river itself, dipshit
>>18310442That's great for you but every town doesn't have a local watchmaker. I wouldn't say it's a dying trade exactly, but it's not common at all anymore. A lot of watch and jewelry stores won't even touch watches beyond battery and strap changes.I wonder if Stoll & Co is a good alternative to sending it to seiko service?
all this non poolex owning poorfag seethe itt lmfaoenjoy your casoy, poorfag
>>18310453The local watchmaker is sometimes hidden. Have you tried the same general neighborhood as the local typewriter store?
>>18308517this is the only "nice" watch that I have. Apart from my Casios and G-shock
What's a good sieko for a daily? I'm not looking at the cheap ones, I need a day and date display. Shame the alpinist only comes with the date. The craftsmanship line is beautiful but doubting the everyday-ness of it, in terms of toughness
what would you be in the lookout for if you were to buy a vintage watch in japan? me i love the seiko king quartz
>>18310528forgor pic
>>18310185you tease
I apologise for my last post about HMT watchesI have consulted with experience and found that I have not been properly winding the watches and have managed to see both the watches with 24+ hours of chargeI recommend the HMT watch if you are interested in something that you will not see normally in the West but overall it is still likely a good idea to purchase a more expensive European or Japanese watch.
>>18310396Around $400 but manufacturing costs for $50
poorfag seethe itt lmfao
>>18310489Where in fucking Diagonalley moron do I have to sprinkle fairy dust and think happy thoughts while throwing myself onto the tracks fucking globin piece of shit.
>>18310522Get the most expensive (meaning in best condition) Weekdater you can find.
>>18310502It is nice, anon. I like the dial texture and color, great for autumn.
>>18310560It's fucking 35mm like your dick retard.

Overheard some young'uns talking about Glycine this, Glycine that. Didn't expect normies to know about that has-been brand...
the rolex bubble has bursted bigly
>>18310560That's a beauty. Thanks anon, this is my daily right now. Need something else
Damn bros, I think I'm falling for this
>>18310577
Do you guys remember Omega? What even happened to them? Did they declare bankruptcy or something?
>>18310610
Isn't Glycine Invicta now?
>>18310625Someone on /wt/ said they were rolex cope and the CEO polled all his emloyees and they all unanimously agreed to close the operation down.
>>18310625wtf... /wt/ told me Omega is a white man's brand...
>>18310662I'm literally the only white man posting in /wt/ and I've never said this.

Just upgrade the bracelet, simple. Instead they messed with the proportions, added bulk, ruined the dial. What were they thinking?
>>18310735The dial in particular is a shame. That galvanic blue dial was apparently really hard to make.
>>18310735DeTyrone doesn't like small watches.
>>18308519>>18308534>>18308603why do these pieces of shit break down after 1 year and have no warranty, I thought they were supposed to be "tough"
>>18310782Sounds like a you problem anon.
>>18310625No joke, have you ever seen a fit, masculine guy wear a Seamaster? It's either always skinny wrists or fatties like picrel

>>18310803How about James Bond, you absolute retard?
>>18310802hmmm so I have to be completely sedentary or they will fall apart within a year? aren't they supposed to be "hard use" watches?>>18310814didn't mean to hurt your feelings. it's just that it looks like all of the other McDonald's toys. didn't realize you had dropped a lot of money on it sorry.
