The Fragrance Groups 101 Chart
The Fragrance Flowchart for Beginners
Pineward is genuine slop
>>18630098yes
>>18630056Prince is a homophobe don't support him
>>18630100Wasn’t he like super gay and zesty
>>18630098Which is slop-pier PDM or Creed?
>>18630109PDM by farCreed has quite a few good fragrances
>>18630112I find Althair mid. I think they're good at creating female fragrances but not men's
>>18630098Pineward has some very good fragrances but I find most of them to lean very feminine.
Ultra male or one of the other flankers? I honestly prefer the original out of all of them but it's performance is very meh
Alright give it to me straight: which fragrances make you think "yeah this dude is gay"? >hard mode: no "just wear whatever" or "everything is gay" answers
>>18630140why are straights so obsessed with who is and who isn’t gay? you probably look like shit so you don’t need to worry
>>18629984>Told her I have BBC (big belarusian cow)Ofc, should've known. Curly loves BBC.
>>18630140anything JPG or YSL
>>18630163Why YSL?
>>18630131Are you really gonna wear that?
>>18630098I enjoy Pineward fragrances.
>>18630148Exactly! I bet he's just another one of these highly autistic, closeted, incel chuds suffering from their own internalized homophobia.
>>18630131Le Male (1995)>>18630140The frag alone doesn't tell me anything, especially with how nowadays sweet and fruity frags are so popular with man, women and anything in between. >hard modeThat's more a "please conform your replies to my wrong interpretation of the world".
>>18630131OG is still the best.
>>18630209Is it? It disappears from my skin completely after 2 hours, I love the scent but the performance is atrocious :(
>>18630221I got a travalo atomiser during the week and use it for ysl L'homme for that exact reason. It also has the added advantage of the residual oils left around the nozzle kinda act like a diffuser when i carry it in my chest pocket. The actual atomiser is brilliant too though they are almost worth getting for that alone
>>18630230>residual oils left around the nozzle>worth gettingSounds like it's broken, the one job of a travel atomizer is to contain the scent.
>>18630241I had that thought too tbf but the level hasn't change didn't drop with carrying it full for 2 days without using, it does still vaguely smell though but for the time being i am putting it down to a bit of overspray, it is the same vague smell you get if you just sniff the top of a bottle.
>>18630100Prince was a gay icon and did more for gay acceptance than any musician, even if he hated gays and jews.>>18630101No, he was hyper-sexual and uninhibited, he only fucked hot young women. Calling men gay for dressing flamboyant is Jewish feminist propaganda.
>>18630248who cares, im gay and i find him incredibly cringe and gay, not cool gay but gay like cam from modern family cringe gay
>>18630090How much does the bottle influence you into trying a fragrance? Might get myself a John Varvatos just from the style alone (ofc also considering the fragrance but ya know?)>>18630140Not using a fragrance you actually like because you care about dudes opinions is pretty gay. Or feeling like you have to justify your fragrance in any way. Flashy fragrances that club bros wear gives a gay vibe too
>>18630260I care about how my collection looks so I only get bottles that look cool. I would not get that Varvatos bottle, any JPG or Arab brand bottle.
SOTD: Rose de JamalNot great. I expected rose and I got lavender. It opens with a rose and a very woody cedar note, almost resinous. But then after 30 minutes the lavender takes over and blankets everything. To me it's an aromatic frag, not a rose one. There's also mint but it was very discrete.
Recommend a cold weather frag, please and thank you (reposting from the previous thread because the only reply I got was "you don't like leather? get a strong leather frag").I'm 29, I have a bleached buzzcut and I dress sharp.Price range is anything up to €2/ml.I have a number of warm and hot weather frags, favorites include Casbah, Light Blue Eau Intense/Discover Vulcano, Acqua di Sale and Sycomore. The frags I've been using the most in the cold are a cheap supermarket copy of Terre d'Hermes and a reputable copy of Interlude Man, but none of them are really what I'm looking for; TdH is too sharp and citrusy and peppery in the cold and the iso-e super is too light and musky, while Interlude Man is way too ambery and rich in kitchen spices.I don't dislike "thick" frags in general, but I dislike many "thick" notes and accords, namely vanilla, amber, cinnamon, chocolate, oud, leather, dates and ethyl maltole. Then again, it depends on what they're blended with as I dislike Grand Soir with a passion but I don't mind the amber in Ambre Nuit, I couldn't be paid to go around wearing Angel but I like the overdoes of ethyl maltole in BR540, and I can't imagine why anyone would like Ombré Leather but I don't mind the (mild) leather accord in all of Memo's leather frags, so I'm open to trying out stuff as long as those notes/accords aren't the focus.
>>18630298CherguiAmbre SultanEgoisteAntaeusHeritage EDTL'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme EDTDior Homme Original172517401899Ambre 114
>>18630298>TdH> Iso E SuperSo that explains why the drydown gives me kinda same vibes like Another 13. It's weak to my nose but projects even if I put my clothes in the washer
>>18630303>I don't like amber or vanilla or leather>Ambre Sultan (dirty amber with the signature SL elemi base)>Antaeus (dirty rose and leather)>Heritage (creamy vanilla tonka drydown)>Ambre 114 (dirty amber with smoke)Thanks for the input, though aside from the above I haven't enjoyed a single SL fragrance, largely because of that sticky sweet lemon accord that's in the base of every frag from theirs, I don't mind sandalwood but I really didn't think anything of Egoiste, I don't feel L'instant de Guerlain is a cold weather frag because of the citrus and balsamic anise, and the same thing goes for Dior Homme Original and co. because of their airy and soft and unobtrusive characters.I'll be sure to check out the rest when I get the chance, 1840 and 1899 do sound interesting.
>>18630298>the only reply I got was "you don't like leather? get a strong leather frag"well the second paragraph mentioned Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, Musc Ravageur, Spicebomb and Naxos. i realize Musc Ravageur and Spicebomb have cinnamon i realize but it's not too prominent in my opinion.something with Iris could be good too. Velvet Iris is nice and affordable.i also like Rose in the cold weather. i'd recc Oud & Spice, but since you don't like oud, i'd try Tabac Rose and Baraonda
So AHS Superleggera is now a normal part of the lineup. I'm interested to try it since there's no tonka listed.
>>18630298Is Sycomore worth it? Does it last?
>>18630183smells gay
Should I buy PDM Layton for fall or is it done? Or something else?
>>18630140When I worked as a bartender, I smelled like 3-4 gay men wear a bubble gummy smelling perfume. It's masculine yet fruity at the same time like cherries instead of just normal fruity like aventus... I'm not sure what is it I have yet to smell it again.
shant be buying into the elixir or clone slop
>>18630140Buncha faggot gaslighters replied to you lmao.I'll give you the answer that's applicable to people you'll actually interact with outside: anything overly sweet, floral, or fruity smelling. Normgroids don't give a fuck if brands are now labelling these as "pour homme". Smelling like candy and flowers is gay.
>>18630140Loud sweet slop.
>>18630399I'm a small guy with no muscles, basically a twink and I wear bunch of white floral fragrances. My current favorite is L'Artisan's Passage D'Enfer. Is that acceptable?
I got a bottle of Dior Oud Ispahan. It is neither as explosive, animalic, nor masculine as I thought it would be. I sprayed twice on the inside of my elbows and that gives a nice projection. I have to really look for anything animalic to find it. It's more of an elegant mature lady, a man can pull it off but I don't see it as very casual. I get a big rose, not that it projects or overwhelms, but that is the core of the composition. I get some synthetic medicinal notes that give the fragrance elegance to my nose. There is a bit on honey and fruity sweetness but not much, and there is also some smokiness in there. I hope it grows on me, otherwise I would just use it to subtly add some elegance and sophistication to a night out.
>>18630405Did you try Oud Palao or even Antaeus before you got it?
>>18630408No. I have Leather Oud which I enjoy and wanted to explore the other ouds in the same line. Why, are they similar?
>>18630405grandma oudsotd: amber kiso
Dubs decide whether I buy a bottle of Casbah within a week (if not I'll buy it the week after).
>>18630341Right, and I do appreciate the advice, I just personally don't like what was suggested (Gentleman RP, Naxos, Spicebomb) or don't think they work in this cold (Musc Ravageur).I haven't tried Velvet Iris, how powdery vs. buttery is it?>>18630371Try it out, blind buying a frag that expensive is never worth it.If after a week or a month you're not still thinking about how crazy good quality it is, it's not worth it.It feels like a higher quality Encre Noire, if that's not what you're very much into it's not worth it.
>>18630090I am buying this as I just reverted to Islam, anyone know if its good?
>>18630485It's BR540 if it was a bad frag instead of a good one.
>>18630471>Try it outI do have a sample of it and I like it. I want to a get a FB, but I'm not sure about the longevity. How do you find it?
>>18630471i think it falls more in the powdery category vs the lipsticky, but not overly so. it's very similar to Iris Malikhân if you've tried that one. Iris Ebène was also really good when i tried it, but i wanted to finish my Velvet Iris bottle first. on a different note, you could try Bottled Absolu or Layton. Layton has some vanilla, but it's not that noticeable for me
>>18630489Longevity's average and sillage is a bit below average for me, though if you've tried and you're unsure I definitely don't think it's worth it, it's so comically overpriced and imo a frag should really wow you if you're to pay €3,33 per ml of juice. It occasionally comes up on parfumo for nearly half the price and I think even that is a lot of money for it.
>>18630491Have you tried CDG Vettiveru?
>>18630507Afraid not.
>>18630485I used to walk by a fruit market everyday, this thing smells exactly like the trash cans that had rotten fruit.
Please recommend me an affordable chypre.
>Sotd: Lubin ItascaIt's nice but just too subtle for me to buy, and at double the cost per ml of something like Polo or Yatagan.
>>18630140when I smell sauvage, immediate thought is what a faggot
I tried a couple of drugstore fragrances today. idk but they all have a similar smell, cant really tell what it is exactly, but with some exeptions, they all smell "cheap".Pic related was the most dissapointing one, some anon often posted it and i thought it might be worth, but no, very boring and cheap smelling. The David beckham ones were pleasant except the blue one, and 1 Bugatti was okay, but still wouldnt wear them.
>SotD: Tyrannosaurus Rex6 Sprays to work. Pretty enjoyable, for being something that often gets brought up in the same context as Tonnerre, it has a pretty decent evolution.
Are there any sample sets for sale that are just individual notes? I don't actually know what tonka bean, vetiver, patchouli, etc. smell like on their own. Obviously I can just go on ebay and buy vetiver oil but that's a huge bottle for actual mixing and a waste of money. I want just a sample set of all of the most common notes.
>>18630822Fragrance oils but you won't have fruits and some other notes because those are synthetic aromas produced in lab. I use ChatGPT to recreate a specific profile based on the fragrance that I like, and if I want to tweak a little bit I just ask what to add or to remove. Don't expect for high-quality note evolution though, because you need specific lab grade essential and crystals for that.
>sotdMyslf le Parfum. Great scent, but not a big fan of the longevity. Maybe my bottle sat in the sun and got too hot or something, but once it fades all I smell is the pepper note with a hint of floral. I could’ve sworn the edp wasn’t this short lived. Best version I’ve smelled is the L’absolu, I have a 5ml of that I’ll test, hopefully it holds a little better. Altho I don’t like the idea of spending that much for a designer fragrance… maybe I’ll spring for the 5oz refill to get a better bang/buck.
>>18630702>drugstore fragrancesI enjoy sampling inexpensive fragrances, but it can be disappointing for the most part. Only ones I’ve found so far that are halfway decent are two Duke Cannon edcs. Midway and Sawtooth. Sawtooth is kind of bland but pleasant enough. Midway is a solid freshie tho. Not mind blowing but solid enough to smell clean and pleasant for work or something. I got them on sale at the grocery store for like 5$, so can’t really complain. If anyone has any good cheapies im all ears.
>>18630298I would have recc'd Encre Noire a l'Extreme, but you already have Sycomore which is similarcould go for Fat Electrician since you like vetiver. unless you really can't accept any amount of vanilla
>>18630396kind of sounds like Joop! Homme to me
>>18630131either OG or Le Parfum. the others are too in your face, teenager fragrances
Is Joop Homme as bad as they say? I kinda wanna buy a sample for fun
>>18630702>they all have a similar smell, cant really tell what it is exactlyNever smelled that one you posted but it's a certain synthetic musk, probably. I call it "mall musk" because it's so ubiquitous. During the 2000s it was everywhere.A&F Fierce probably wasn't the first one to use it but it's the fragrance I associate with it the most. Every cheapo brand has their own version, Hollister, Perry Ellis, Kenneth Cole etc.
>>18630873I call it "static". Basically tells the juice isn't blended well and is just a noise that goes away quickly in the opening.
>>18630371It's good, not great. Mostly Haitian Vetiver rounded out with florals. It smells natural, sophisticated, distinctive, you would almost not encounter any one else wearing it. Decent projection 2-3 hours.
just boughted before you ask, yes I'm a fruity fella
>>18630131OG, LMLP and Fleur du Male (sadly discontinued) are good frags in generalUltra Male is a good party frageverything else is meh at best>>18630140anything gourmand>>18630298check out PdE Ambre Russe, it's one of the best amber frags around (not heavy at all)also check out Antaeus>>18630346>AHS Superleggera is now a normal part of the lineuplol, lmao even>>18630485>Oud for Gloryyeah, it's good - an exact copy of Oud for Greatness for the fraction of the pricethe saffron makes it kinda similar to BR540 and the nutmeg+lavender combo brings it to Sauvage Elixir territory>>18630544>cheap chypreMitsouko EDT>>18630792based>>18630884a l'Extreme is great>SOTD: Bogue MEM
>>18630887what an incredibly dumb post
>>18630490>lipstickyI hate this description, lipstick doesn't smell like iris nor orris root, and the """lipsticky""" accord is a mix of different iris derived molecules plus other softly floral notes.I don't like Layton nor will I ever pay its asking price, but I'll look into Bottled Absolu, thanks.>>18630847I like Fat Electrician, and it smells more like creamy chestnut than vanilla to me, but I don't like it enough to get a bottle. It feels like a vetiver frag and I definitely wouldn't wear it if I can choose between that and Sycomore.I do own a bottle of Encre Noire but I've never had the chance to try a l'Extreme, I'll definitely do that when I get the chance since I'm all for the chance of not having to spend any more money on Sycomore.
Is there any clone of BR540 that's really as good as the original?
>>18630131The only two I like are "In the Navy" (mint forward) and "Airlines" (vanilla forward like the Parfum but done by Kurkdijan himself.) I think the original is okay, but every other flanker is generally uninteresting.
>SOTD: Dior Homme ParfumI happened to come across a tester in the mall and wore it today. Opening is the usual lipstick-y iris, now with a very refined leather. The leather in this is subtle, complemented by rose in the middle which comes off as silky. The overall impression is darker than DHI, but I won't be buying this in the near future as I find it too mature for my taste.

>>18630953lavender field in the scorching heat (with all facets of lavender at the same time), natural smelling, high quality, very good performance>>18630954>t. noselet
>>18630943No one cares faggot
>>18630100Based, being gay is bad
>>18630887i'd second Ambre Russe. Criminally underrated. the champagne and vodka opening is so cool too
>>18630399yeah some guys get really defensive about the topic, "for some reason"Thanks to the other anons for the replies, my guess was along these lines too. >>18630702I think I know what you mean, it's probably the cheap base and manufacturing process. It was there in Beckham Classic Blue, in some Banderas, Cuba, in some Bugatti and such, stuff you buy under $40. Not exactly the smell itself is bad e.g Creed Centaurus was foul for me, but not low quality. In Classic Blue there was a "static", a plastic-y smell. In Montblanc Explorer there is the Aventus similarity, with a loud grey plastic smell in the background like PVC tubes in 40c summer heat. It was different from the "cheap" smell, yet no less offensive.>>18630964Had two shots of the edp on my left wrist, couldn't wait to wash it off. It settled down to the smell of the dark lipstick of a busted mature woman who thinks she still got it.
>>18631018>ambre russe>underratedoverrated more like
feels good to be a clone chad>nooo you must spend more money for no reason
>>18631027Yeah there were a few really anti-clone faggots in this general a few years ago, not sure if they're still around. The only issue is some clones genuinely are kinda ass, it really just depends on the specific clone. I have a bunch and they range from "literally indistinguishable from the OG" to "toilet cleaner scent". Not a problem if one samples beforehand.
>>18631027>>18631032Name your fav clones (which don't smell ass)?
>>18631038Afnan Turathi Blue, Jean Lowe Immortal, Aspen for men (COTY), G Eau Blue (Belcam), Montblanc Explorer. Not all of these are identical to what they're cloning but they smell good to me
>>18631038Davidoff Adventure is virtually identical to ysl L'homme, discontinued but still available from discounters for very cheap, tiny bit more peppery instead of ginger but otherwise the same, I can't tell them apart blind
>>18630393Boss bottled absolu is a cheaper alternative. Brioni edp intense is also worth trying and a bit more interesting imo. They're not clones, but in the same realm of spicy apple.
Daily reminder to wear fougeres.
blind bought "suede musk" from some deodorant company. hoping it's decent.
>>18631120fougeres are quickly starting to be the new tiktok and reddit meme of 2026 instead of gourmands
>>18631124Yes.
>>18631124just sounds like people are finally getting some taste
Anyone try Last Season by Meo Fuscini?
>>18631178>Meo Fuscini
SOTD: Oranger SiroccoI don't like it.Heavy orange blossom during the 30 first minutes, which is fine, then it's an oriental pot pourri. I can only smell cinnamon and other spices.
>>18631027>le 9 pm le sandnigger frags kys
why are testers so much cheaper? the cap cannot be that expensive
>Spicebomb Metallic Musk finally starting to become available in Canada>sniff tester at store>it's has that Spicebomb smell, but everything else is hard to describe>a few individual notes (pepper, metallic/mineral, musk, neroli?) can be made out, but as a whole it's really nice but indescribable>it's simultaneously nice, pleasing, soft, and strange, feels like it could have been a CdG perfume tooIn terms of originality, this might be the best one J.C. Herault has done since Aventus.
Are any Avon fragrances worth it?Kinda wanna get Black Suede or Musk Instinct based off of the notes
>>18631229I have only seen the gay pedophile talk about them, so probably not.
>>18631230>Gay pedophilecontext?
>>18631234He must mean Homo Lizardis on Basenotes
>>18631023might be the first time i see it mentioned here by another poster.
>>18631223A mix of A) they can’t legally be sold in stores and B) people that actually care about the visuals of a bottle don’t want them.
>>18630893>>18630943>>18631022Perfumer anon once said that iris (technically orris root) or violet notes smell more like parma violets, some sort of candy in which violet aroma is used. I haven't smelled one but I imagine it's powdery and waxy. >Also speaking of it, does iris smell a bit sweet to anyone else? I don't know if its my nose but PLH and the DH line has weird chocolate-y drydown on my skin. >>18631124That sucks. I'm starting to grow out of fougeres (25M) and exploring a bit of ambery gourmands. I don't wanna be ridiculed when I wear my Grand Soir clone. >>18631223Tester bottles are usually old, like years old and sometimes they have the label imprinted on the glass. They usually don't sell them unless nobody uses it anymore. It's a waste to throw it away. >>18631227>Pepper Might buy a decant of it someday. I really love pepper frags, and I think it's lowkey better than ginger.
>>18631229>>18631230Never seen anyone refer to him as a pedophile, so likely just spouting bullshit to make him look bad because he’s a furfag, but The Gay Dragon (aka Varanis Ridari) has an extensive love and knowledge of all things Avon. Check out his YouTube channel for genuinely good informational videos on all things fragrance related, tons of good historical takes. He gets side tracked on occasion bitching about other people bitching about him, but over all it’s still an enjoyable channel if you enjoy learning about the subject matter.
fuck off derrek
>>18631265I just subscribed to his yt channel. Tbh seeing his profile pic I was kinda shocked that he's a boomer. I thought he's trans or something. Anyways it's rare to see non-paid fragrance reviewers nowadays so I'll watch his takes because he's not a that big of a creator.
Kinda wanted to try Intense Cedrat Boise, but is it actually a fragrance for Indians?
>>18631229I have some ancient samples of Avon Occur because the love of my life Karen Carpenter wore it. Smells like old lady.
>ebay store of a national frag discounter that also has its own website>97,6% positive reviews on ebay, some complaining about late shipping, some complain about frags that don't last more than a few minutes>4.6 out of 5 on trustpilot with similar negative reviews>two bottles of Casbah popped up for €124 eachOdds they're legit?
>>18630298I don't know why nobody suggested it yet, but BR540 is the frag you're looking for, I'm sure you can find a bottle within your budget and if you can't Barakkat[sic] Rouge 540 is a good copy.
>>18630405I also got a bottle of Dior Purple Oud. At first sniff it screams familiar and a dead ringer for Oud Wood. As it settles it becomes more distinct, the saffron and woodiness kick up with a very attention grabbing smoke. I get the citrus but it's so integrated and nondescript, all I can say is that it's synthetic and punctuates the scent. At the end it gets really smoky and leathery reminiscent of Fahrenheit but with a gasoline smell that is not as overbearing. If it isn't obvious already I find it quite masculine. It projects very well at first and out of the Dior Ouds it's the only one that gets a positive reaction from others, being the most modern and familiar smelling. I like it, even if it's not the best fit for me because it's very brash and gallant. It can be used in different situations like going out or something more casual but it has to be clean and sharp. It would clash too much with something shabby and rustic.
>>18631300That's a pretty shitty rating. I wouldn't risk it but ebay does have pretty good a decent money back guarantee so if you're willing to go through the hassle you can.
>SOTD: 10 sprays of Creed Oud Zarian (on the balls)
>>18631313Beavermaxxing?
>>18631295Mancera is a pretty shit brand. Like Montale, they sell "niche" perfumes that are loud and screechy at a relatively low price. anyways, CB is just an Aventus clone

This sounds kinda gay but I love the slightly metallic scent of men's sweat. I used to train in automotive and in the summer all the hygienic men smelled like that. I think we should try to recreate it as a synthetic note. I'll call it Andromusk™

>>18631331Sometimes when I work out there is a pleasant animalic smell emanating from my crotch. I've been trying to figure out what it is because I love animalic scents. There is a material called Aldron that is supposed to be similar to androstenone and is used in products marketed as pheromones. I have some but to me it smells more like a musky/woody/amber smell. Some people apparently find it appealing and others find it repulsive.

tommy bahama stuff seems to really work on my skin. last summer I wore deep blue and people really liked it when they were close. yesterday I bought maritime at burlington and tried it out. not bad, I like deep blue more but maritime is a nice clean fresh and kinda soapy scent that I think I'd like to use as deodorant or after a shower to prolong that nice clean feeling. and even though they're only colognes they also seem to last a fucking long time on me. I spray my pits yesterday at like 3pm and it's about 9:30 in the morning right now and my armpits smell like I just applied it

>>18631300Update on this: I'd bought a bottle on Saturday night but then realized it was probably a fake because everything about that ebay store looked vague and shady as hell, and the online store sharing a similar name had nothing to do with it. I found a chain of physical stores in the same city with the same two bottles of Casbah at the same price and a name similar to the company name that was registered as owner of the ebay store, so just to be sure I sent them an e-mail to ask them whether they were affiliated with the ebay store, and in the meantime I asked the ebay seller to cancel the order, figuring it was a scam. Come next morning, the store chain replies and says they also manage that ebay store, and the ebay seller has accepted the order cancelation request. The website of the store chain still has both bottles listed for sale has good reviews on trustpilot and whatnot, so at this point of the story would you buy a bottle from there?

Just ordered a couple fragrance compounds from Fraterworks. Apparently you just dilute them, macerate, and filter. They don't have many in stock right now, but the Brut and Aventus ones were available and since I'm very familiar with both of them I thought it would be a fun project. Fleshed out my order with a couple other things to save the outrageous $30 shipping fee. I will report back eventually with how they turn out!

>>18632922>I think they are disingenuous with their formulas giving the impression you can mix a handful of ingredients and get the same as the original when it's just GCMS interpretation. All the Arab slop clones do that but they cheap out on ingredients to the extreme so their low prices are giving them high enough profit margins. All of the Fraterworks ingredients seem to be of mid to high quality, and ignoring IFRA regulated ingredients if they are in the original formula.> It pushes for over buying of their ingredients. On Basenotes the owner is just shilling his site Also I de facto don't trust any brand that uses AI.All that can be filed under "Managing a Niche Business In the Current Year". >>18632852>>18633048Also, post some pics of what they actually send you when it arrives. Part of the reason this interests me so much is I work in an (clinical) analytical chemistry lab, so I’m already extremely comfortable weighing out solid compounds and measuring/diluting solutions. Have all the tools available to me, and quite frankly could probably borrow some glassware to use for the process, but I’m less sure about the filtering process just because there’s several different ways you could do it, and I can’t find anything where they recommend how.
