I mostly go by feeling that day. I generally know if I'm going heavy or volume that day. I'm on record multiple times saying how I only deadlift reps for light weight and instead do clustered singles. If the plan is to do, say 3x3, I'll do 3 clustered sets of 3. I've even experimented with clustered sets of squats and I think it helps my cardio and my squats. Never tried clustered sets for bench.

step loading works very well for pull-ups, be it BW or weighted

just fill out the volume with maybe one intensity set per session, do it at least twice a week where you add each session or just repeat depending on how much room you have

e.g, 1 x 6 + 3 x 3 into 6 x 3, you just fill out the volume and keep the reps and weight straight.
then you either bump the weight and do it over again, or you can push the same weight to 1 x 8 + 3 x 4 -> 6 x 4 and so on.

Pottery. Either way, keep it up. When you inevitably stall again I'd suggest a 15% deload at the lowest, could even go as high as 20% and slowly add weight on the way back up. I'm talking 5 lbs total a session. Given how fast you reached your first stall I wouldn't be surprised if you could eek out a decent bit more progress just by doing some submax work on the way back to your previous PR.

I choose SS because of the focus on squats. My squats are very weak thanks to a weak back. My bench was higher when I started. Family history of herniated discs, but I never had it . I at one point in 2003 has scoliosis from a repeative work injury. Somewhere around that time I got this knot in my lower back. Last week as my progress stalled this knot disappeared and also I was exhausted. Not sure from that or not enough sleep. Regardless squats are certainly what I needed to do. Correction of back problems from over 20 years ago. They say work hard and be a man. Well I did and it messed up my back for decades. Inb4 why didn't you do this sooner. My life was on pause for like 15 years from other issues that almost killed me twice. So yeah SS is different for me than a young dude. Regardless it is helping. You asked and there you go. The truth.

I'd try and do 1 heavy day every 7-10 days and the rest go for more sets to failure reverse pyramid. You won't really get any benefit going as heavy as possible 2x a week.

If anything I'd try to add a good amount of cables and dbs to really get your chest to failure then take 2-3 full days off before going for another heavy day.

I heard it's best to do a week at a time of a certain rep scheme. Pl programs usually have you doing like 5x3, 5x5,4x8, etc like 3 days a week on whatever you're working on with you resting on the 8th or so week to hit a new 1rm and calculate your program based on it. Afaik they usually have minimal accessory work so you don't burn out.

I just eyeball it keeping strict adherence to broad rep schemes and try to go to failure.

Wrestled a 90min practice with the lads earlier. Mostly drilled with a mid kid, went live with the wunderkind and gave up zero points. He wouldn't let me get to my single though. So I'm rebuilding my squat after fucking up my knees and hips from excessive knee caving (at least I think so).
Took a week off because my knees and hips were killing me. Now I'm trying to push out my knees outside consciously in the ascent of the squat and while my knees don't cave in anymore, I feel my reps more gritty and slow.
It's as if my body tries to make my knee caves so that the ascent is faster(?). I'm not so sure, but at least I didn't feel any pain. I had to fight consciously the urge of my body that makes my knees cave.
