Too bad. Already checked because I was curious myself. Switched from SS to 4 day TM with a 5x130 squat in the last week of August last year (which IIRC is higher than your current squat). I hit 200kg for one at the end of April. I doubt you're going to find a more efficient program for your squat at this stage. Deadlifts are programmed normally with a single heavy set a week and then some assistance work of your choice on the second day, so nothing interesting there. Other people have made more upper progress on TM than me, but that's mostly due to me having really, really poor bench technique (5x80 to 5x100). My OHP did go from 5x50 to 1x80 however, so that approach did seem to work for me. Maybe you'd want to change bench rep schemes, but you could probably still try it out first considering your current bench max and because your technique is better. AFAIK most people have no trouble getting (close to) 3pl8 on TM.

It was really shitty for aesthetical gains, but a few months ago I started programming in some random isolation and easy volume work and that is very easy to do on the 4 day template. Recovery has been rather easy for the most part even after dropping my 500kcal surplus to like 250 on average. I've also had some serious health issues that affected my recovery really hard. Right now I'm not planning on switching yet, because I could definitely get my squat much further with this, but I might change the two upper days and keep the other two days the same. At what numbers did AlphaDestiny fail?

That's why it's nice. It's simple and fast, it teaches you autoregulation, and then once you have a feel for it you can start tweaking things to your own liking. I've looked into other intermediate programming, but it all looks so slow and convoluted.

That's what i feared. I'm a 26yo male with a lot of testosterone and want to look good for the ladies, bodybuilding work seems to be non negotiable, alas. I have to fit that into the program while not spending too much time training, i've been using supersets and it's very effective so i'll just abuse that for my accessories

There's enough room on the 4 day for me to add in a bunch of 5x10 isolation work. I think Andy Baker has an article on that. That would be much more difficult on the 3 day, because it's way more difficult to recover from, and because the days just take so long to get through already. Only things like bench and squat variations are more difficult to program in, I think, though I've replaced some of the OHP volume day sets for high rep incline. Doing higher rep sets on accessoires like rows and dips also hasn't hurt me too much. Do I now look like a lean bodybuilder? No, but I like the way I look clothed regardless. In the end we're in /plg/ and I assume you care about strength first and foremost.

NTA but the other one who posted my 3-day TM. It's not so much different from what I was already doing on a 4-day full body split.
You have to
a) restrict rest times and get used to being comfortable under persistent fatigue
b) start lighter and progress slower to enable the above. 1kg increments on volume is fine, you don't have to autistically follow a spreadsheet.
3-4 minutes for main lift volume work, 2-3 for accessory compounds, 1-2 for isolations. I get done in 1-1.5 hours, Monday is going to be longer. Bring juice or something to cope if you have to.

On the 4 day this really is no problem. Work up to one or two heavy sets, then switch to the second compound and do 5x5 with shorter rest inbetween. After that you should have plenty of time to superset your accessories. The only day I feel seriously trashed is the volume squat + heavy diddly day.

That's how you do it on a full body split. 1 minute rest times or less in between antagonists. You can do this with stuff like dips + pull-ups too but increase to 1-1.5 min, basically just go again once breathing isn't a limiting factor.

Well, shit. The bulk only lasted like a month and a half. I feel obese again and look like shit. Went from like 170 to 187 in a month and a half. Maybe a lot of it is water or fluids, and I tend to retain a lot of water, but damn I do look like shit. Too many cookies. I just don't think this bulk really is helping with my powerlifting at this point at all desu

You can do 4-day TM spread through a week and a half, no need to cram the 4 days wuthin a week. Like:
Monday: Upper 1
Wednesday: Lower 1
Friday: Upper 2
Monday: Lower 2
Wednesday: Upper 1
And so on and so forth.
Plenty of time to recover and room for all the pretty bpy accesories you want.
You can always cram two days in a row occasonally if you got the time, a change of schedule or whatever.
Lifting doesn't need to adhere to a super setted schedule like work of school.

I think him, Makarov, and Hafthor may be each getting past 500kg at Giant’s Live this year but boy howdy did they fuck up last year by not letting contestants choose their weight jumps. 470 to 505 was a retarded decision and for brevity of competition timing they rushed contestants along. Makarov even forgot to close his belt on his 505 attempt, he woulda got it otherwise I believe. I’d like to see Heinla get 505 this year also but I’m not sure how he’ll be holding up.
