If you want to speed it up a bit throw in a few 24/48 hour fasts. Just eat a nice lunch and then don't eat again until next lunch. You'll rip through those last 23lbs.

How do you find a healthy salt balance or how do you know when you are eating too much? I know some is good for you but too much can kill you. But I never really feel like I have any idea if I am getting the right amount.

It's hard to have too little salt even in a really reduced diet, and even if you do eat too little salt in one day, your body has enough stored for days.If you're worried, just make sure you take a gram of table salt daily or consider snake juice.Sodium is most safe when paired with other electrolytes, so try not to take too much pure sodium (table salt) when eating very little (fasting/<500kcal). Also note that electrolytes will contribute a small amount to water retention.
