The companies want their Calories number to be as low as possible. Sometimes they finagle this by monkeying with serving size other times it might be iffy on the actual calorie measurment. For example I have a relative, who is tracking what they what they eat because they want to lose weight but they aren't doing the best job. Over the holidays this person for breakfast measured out 1 full pound of of leftover Stouffer's Meat Lasagna to eat for breakfast. They insisted that this was only 500 calories. Based on the nutrition label it didn't seem that far fetched, pic related. But when something seems too good to be true it usually is. 1 lb. of cooked ground beef is about 1,000 calories. 1 lb. of cheese is like 1800 calories. 1 lb. of cooked pasta is about 700 calories. Don't implicitly trust nutrition labels.
