Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

I'm tired and I'm starting to lose it. I want to be at my goal weight, but I keep eating at maintenance because I'm so tired and weak and stressed, and I'm getting more stressed because I'm becoming airheaded and forgetful and making mistakes that cost others time and effort of helping me fix my mistakes. I do t think I can get out of publicly eating tonight and I already ate a big breakfast just because I feel so dead. I'm cooked aren't I? I went on a several day fast and had amazing results. Results that unlike the shills here would have you think, stuck even after I returned to normal eating.
Anyway, I let the ozempic shills and literal bots here convince me to go on a "much healthier" natural diet. And while I did learn a lot about healthy eating, the results have been lackluster to say the least.
After a week of eating toddler size meals and painstakingly tracking calories like a faggot, my weight has essentially stayed the same. I did a few more weigh ins and found that I had in fact gained weight on one of them. What an absolute joke. Imagine a diet with such shitty results that a tiny bit of water bloat can hide an entire weeks worth of effort. That's what normal dieting is.

I figured I should post about it since it's been 100lbs.
I have definitely slowed down (I'm losing between 2 to 3 pounds per week) but some changes were unexpected. My ashy rough skin softened and feels healthy again, and my breathing problems in cold weather have disappeared.
Also, while I would have to calculate everything to be at a calorie deficit in the beginning, now I can easily tell around how many calories I've eaten, which is nice.
What weight should I aim for? I have a wide frame and am taller than average.
Also, should I start buying clothes again, or wait? Right now I only have a pair of jeans from high school that are my current size, the other pants have to be held up by a belt with several holes I made.

Getting diet under control is #1 and requires most willpower so working on that but thinking about other things.

I like going to gym, but while on cut doing strength training is a pain, it's so slow and plateuing a lot, that's why I thought I should start (cardio) boxing again, it's very cardio stressful but there is some good boxing in there and strength work but I don't think I can survive doing both at the same time, especially in the beginning.

Yeah, most of us don't do sports for fun, so for us it's all diet+sleep+cardio+lifts.
My non-sporty advice would be to pick a target weight that lands you somewhere in the healthy BMI range, and focus on that.
You don't say how much weight you need to lose, but if you're okay losing one pound a week on average, a high protein 500 calorie daily deficit would be relatively easy on your willpower and shouldn't hinder your lifting too much.
Once you reach your target weight, switch to maintenance, continue progressive overload and consider doing the fun sports thing again.

If you are 6' 1" I would aim for 190 or so. But realistically you should aim for a body fat percentage probably between 12% and 15%. For comparison's sake when I was really fit in High school I was measured at 6% body fat, and I was 6'4" and 210 pounds. Weight scales cubicly with height so even though it it is a 4% difference in height the weight difference should be noticeably larger than that.

The opposite is also true, there are people born with naturally broad shoulders who could never be a skinny twink. I'm not saying "be a fatass, it's okay." What I'm saying is that, like height, your body type determines what your ideal weight should be.

Instead of burning an extra 500 calories through exercise, just don't eat those 500 calories in the first place. That's how I do it.

I only eat 1500 calories a day and I want to be at a 1500k deficit.

Also going below 1500 calories makes getting 100g+ of protein hard.
