Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Its a lot harder to build muscle than. It is to lose fat, fasting generally isn't worth it no matter how fast you want the weight off. It's not about just dropping lbs it's about dropping lbs of fat.

I lost a bunch of fat last summer and stopped in the fall because I wanted to focus more on building muscle. I'm currently sitting at 205lbs but I was at 195lbs in the weeds of the cut. I still have some belly fat and fat around my thighs but I imagine this next cut should eliminate that once I incorporate more cardio and lower calories. I get anywhere from 10k-18k steps a day due to my job. I wanna start swimming again because I used to do that a lot when I was a kid and that was the last time I could see my abs. The only gym near me with a pool is la fitness and they're expensive.

Also gonna do a day burning stack I found out about because I wanna be shredded by mid to end of this summer. I don't care if it's dangerous I haven't been confident enough to get naked in years

Yeah, but it's nothing super impressive

Bench is 245 can probably do 250 but I don't have a spotter and I get scared of dropping the weight. 225 is just challenging enough for me to do 3 reps which is cool because 90lbs was the most I could do when I started lifting.
Squat is 300, I have bad knees from a bad accident years ago so I don't do super heavy squats
Shoulder press is 140, again nothing crazy but 135 was a struggle for me for a long time
I can bang out 12 strict pullups now before stopping
Deadlift is 320

Like I said nothing to brag about but these are huge improvements for me

Man not even trying to be a dick, but compound lifts don't build a good physique. Treat your isolations like compounds, progress them and go heavy. Deadlift for example does a shitty job at training glutes hamstrings forearms erectors and traps. You'd be better off ditching them for RDLs for posterior chain and shrugs for traps. Compounds "hit" a bunch of different muscles, but that's totally different than actually stimulating growth. Just my two cents

I was under the impression that those were the lifts to measure your strength by. All of those lifts were pretty light when I started. My workout per week is as follows

Sunday: legs/back
Monday:chest/shoulders
Tuesday:arms/abs
Wednesday:legs/back
Thursday:chest/shoulders
Friday:arms/back

I wouldn't say I train like a powerlifter but I could be wrong, this is just the thing that has given me the most results. I could be completely wrong though

I'd say it's the most effective for a multitude of reasons. High protein to retain and build lean mass. It's not a powerlifter thing.
Proper form is retracting your shoulder blades in and using your traps to help stabilize yourself for maximum chest engagement. This usually involves bringing your chest up(and in turn, your upper back is pushed into the bench)and then lifting at an angle. Most shoulder injuries comes from flaring out your shoulders, not the depth of your lift.

Took some time, I was always a little overweight my entire adult life and it kept creeping up.
I used to work nights and would order fast food instead of actually eating properly.
I would range from eating lots of "normal food" to large amounts of fast food.
This put me into the delusion of thinking I needed calories and caffeine in huge amounts to function. It wasn't true, but it was a strong delusion.
Before, I made progress losing weight with keto, but eventually gained it all back. Putting it back on had me wallowing in shame for quite some time.
I'm in a better place right now, but there was a lot of pain involved in getting this big. I would argue people just don't get my size without serious issues. I've made serious progress working on them, hence why I'm actually on the downtrend. My big focus is working in a way that allows me to keep the weight off once I've lost it.

Raymo here. I started doing bodyweight workouts at home to get myself started at around 312 lbs. Started intense lifting at around 265 lbs at the gym. I do full body every other day (which is basically 3x a week) since that's what works with my schedule. I wouldn't worry about overtraining, just start with what you can and keep at it. I'm very glad I started lifting, I was losing muscle mass and now I'm keeping and even slightly gaining muscle mass even at a deficit. You will want to put on at least a little muscle to help 'fill in' your body a bit that used to be fat.
Cardio is fine for a cooldown period after lifting but it should not be your main source of 'losing weight'.

When you fast like that you shed a ton of water, as well as lean mass, on top of the fat loss. He's class III, so it's probably like half of that is water, 40% is fat, and the remaining 10% is muscle and bone density loss.

I've been fasting mon-fri and on Saturday and Sunday. I eat half a rotisserie chicken, drink a big glass of whole milk, and eat a whole bundle of broccoli(15~17oz). So I'm kinda doing that already. Just not making soup out of the bones.

You now have a great base to build muscle on. Really.
If you're not there already, work up to gym 5x a week. Lifting weights. At least 50 minutes. Focus on 1-2 lifts. Eat tons of protein and don't let nothing come in the way of your sleep. 5x + sleep is #1 priority.

If you start to feel fat creeping in, do a week of HIIT.

Your hair looks fine, if it's getting thin just talk to your doc about finasteride or minoxidil.

Glasses are fine. Or contacts. Don't have to get LASIK.

Chew some gum to get the jawline/masseter muscle going.

Hi. 185cm 83kg here, was 102kg.
I did a high protein cut while lifting to get to 83kg.
No obviously visible shape difference with a shirt on, but love handles had gotten smaller.
I've been at recomp since, and am trading roughly 1.5kg of fat for muscle per month.
It's a slow process, but in principle it should improve my shirt-off physique a bit (and my health a lot.)
I don't expect my shirt-on appearance to meaningfully change. It is what it is.

So, the good news is, this is not forever.
Losing weight is fast. Gaining muscle mass is slow.
I started this 8 months ago, and I'll assess what's going with my lean mass in maybe two years. Any earlier than that is mostly pointless (natty, anyway.)
