My schizo theory is that you only really activate the traps if you're lifting with intensity so it sort of indicates a raw manly energy that some otherwise fit dudes don't give off

The truth is the trap has the greatest leverage of any muscle in your body so it takes really heavy weights to develop and you instintively know the guy is strong with good trap development, It's the same reason why calisthenics guys look so frail and weak

calisthenics creates that bottom heavy pencil neck physique where as deadlifting and overhead pressing heavy creats the top heavy bodybuilder physique
>>
whats the point of posting all these roid trannies?
>>
>>76600718
only dyels seethe about steroids
>>
>>76600734
No one is seething anon. You can't get traps like any of these natty and when you're on gear your traps explode because of the receptors
>>
>>76600741
I've literally posted life time naturals in this very thread. If you struggle to get traps you should try lifting some actual weights and stop spamming pull ups like a pencil neck
>>
>>76600741
>No one is seething anon
>as he talks about muh "roid trannies!!"
you're pathetic boyo
>>
>>76600757
Longtime roiders are roid trannies... I say this as someone who's roided before
>>
>>76600765
You spend your days seething on /fit/ over guys who make it. You're too feminine and high inhibition to have roided
>>
>>76600767

Why do you keep saying this, retarded discord vocabulary. I didn't even say it first. Only deeply insecure roid long term FACT. If you roid you're essentially a tranny FACT
>>
>>76600793
you've gone mad from envy, it's a bad look for you
>>
>>76600520
>that pic

I guess some people just have naturally ugly body and nothing helps
>>
>>76600836
yeah it's definitely not the non existent traps/shoulders/upper chest (from never deadlifting or overhead pressing) and the over developed lower chest, lats and obliques from spamming dips and pull ups like a retard for years.
>>
>>76600798
This is your mind on roids lmao (or just being a faggot arguing on purpose)
>>
>>76600842
no, even among dyels there is a clear spectrum between well proportioned and just plain goofy
>>
>>76600846
yet the only examples you can provide have clearly lopsided developed physiques from obviously unbalanced calisthenics programs. The capped traps and shoulders on the black guy are not genetic if the calisthenics guy has never picked up a deadlift in his dyel life. You can't regress into muh genetics then
>>
>>76600854
there are ugly bodies the same as there are ugly feet. deal with it

So here is my take on it because i have trained with professional acrobats in my gym for a long time. Circus acrobats are the ultimate level of calisthenics imo. compared to your average playground dips and pullups guy the do a shit ton of overhead work with their bodyweight. a one handed handstand split requires traps and shoulders and they look the part. They might be small by gym standards but they are very very aesthetic, though that might be selection bias as the aesthetic bodies are more suited to good performance in acrobatics.
>>
>>76600944
The issue is this route is only viable for giga manlets. That's why average calisthenics fag just spams dips and pull ups
>>
>>76600489
what leverage u're blabbering about bot ? it sits between scapula and spine and it moves scapula up and in
>real heavy weight, half the gym's plates at least
nope, 2 light dumbbells:

>>76596937
>u got fooled, the muscles moving neck are responsible for moving shoulders, keep neck in perfectest spinal alignment and move your shoulders instead
>>76596860
>how to do trapezius muscle? like picture - don't bob heand & raise shoulders up while keeping perfect spinal alignement - feet to head is perfect?
>yes
>no it's not, keep double chin at all times, and raise shoulders up while barely holding in hands 2 light dumbbells
just meme "i do not know" like the picture, don't bend elbows shoulders loose as they stay in isometric trapezius sternocleidomastoid and levator scapulae isometric hold, shoulders loose but multifidus ON high alert

> do farmers walks instead
stretching is not building the muscle bot, u need active contraction, preferably continuous active work of the muscle belly

do not bend elbows and meme "i don't know" with perfectest spinal alignment

>what leverage
Usually muscles insert in the medial site of the bones they move. The trap inserts at the distal site giving it the greatest leverage. Same principle that arm wrestlers have their biceps reattached lower on the forearm except imagine the bicep being inserted at your wrist. This is the kind of natural leverage the trap has. Hope this helps
>>
>>76600444
Big yoke is universally associated with strength and manliness
That said, with a big yoke you also need hueg shoulders to not look ridiculous

yes, it helps to clarify your mumbling bot

2 light dumbbels isometric shrug hold with double chin does traps beutifully and host of OTHER NECK MUSCULATURE
>>76601167
just keep controlling spinal musculature, extended thoracic and double chin and lift shoulders straight up with 2 light dumbbells weighing down your arms

hope this helps bot-bot :D

>>76601256
do not roll shoulders forward - that IS NOT TRAPS
>how u know human
i have been doing shitloads of bent over barbell rows, too much and too heavy, with awesomest form
2 light dumbbells shoulder raise iso-hold with double chin made all my t-shirts try to suffocate me, rows didn't

they don't grow any more than you train them. Guess what also grows? Bicep. But i don't see dyels here talking about capped biceps
>>
>>76600489
nope, just optimal range..
rear delt flies & shrugs for the most part

i like holding plates around the edges before alternating to pushing my fingers throug the hole in the middle once the pump is too much to bear
>>
>>76601683
cool story. post traps
>>
>>76600842
>definitely not the non existent traps/shoulders/upper chest (from never deadlifting or overhead pressing) and the over developed lower chest, lats and obliques
how is the development of lower/upper chest connected to the usage of traps, if they are moving the back of the scapula and clavicle and by that the back of the shoulders and not chest? on a side note, the guy on the left has significant more build in lower chest and obliques in terms of looks (not talking about actual strength)

>>76601176
>Usually muscles insert in the medial site of the bones they move. The trap inserts at the distal site giving it the greatest leverage.
i dont get it. more leverage because the traps is farther away from the pivotal point, which is then the joint, in this case shoulder and atlas spanning into the middle, and having more field to cover? farther out from where? if torque = force x distance whats the distance here meaning insert and attachment?
>>
>>76601729
>how is the development of lower/upper chest connected to the usage of traps
It the same reason why dips train the lats even though it's a "chest" exercise. Think about the body in motion and where muscles attach and what kind of work they do.
>>76601729
>i dont get it.
I've already explained this if it's insufficient i can't help you. Even gave an example for the extra low IQs among you
>>
>>76601700
im not going to embed anything, its hilarious how you can ask for anything while struggling to develop the musclegroups with the absolute most & most active dopamine receptors in the body.

go do rear delt flies and shrugs for a few weeks and stfu
>>
>>76601761
> lmao dopamine receptors
- highest amount of androgen receptors & most active androgen receptors
genuinelly if you find it difficult to develop either thighs & trapezius, you suck.
>>
>>76601761
That's what i though faggot
>>
>>76601753
pick up your pearls then. it takes some lower IQ if your example leads to more complexity.

oh great it's this schizo again
next someone asks him what kind of routine gives big traps, he'll answer absolute dogshit, he'll get asked to post body, then he'll post the same set of images of other men he's had saved for years
then he'll get triggered and make anywhere from 2 to 5 more threads
he'll do the same thing in those threads, just while sounding more triggered
>>
>>76600452
Damn Tom is pretty lean
>>
They don't
Nice trips, thoughbeit.
>>
>>76600444
They aren't dominant. It's just that people who train their traps have more complete physique. They probably also train their rear delts and forearms and generally have more complete muscular development.
>>
>>76600489
>The truth is the trap has the greatest leverage of any muscle in your body

not really
post body, you sound retarded so you'd better be /fit/ enough to back that up
>>
>>76602989
I think you're the one having a schizo episode.
>>
op is right
your traps (and by extension, your entire upper back) and forearms are 90% of looking big in clothes, and they're also the muscles that you can't fake. nobody has ever built big traps by shrugging light dumbbells, and nobody has ever got big forearms without a building a vice grip along the way.
all the most yoked natty influencers (alex leonidas, atlaspowershrugged) got their traps by heavy lifts like power shrugs, rack pulls, deadlifts and zerchers.
>>
>>76602773
shuuuut uuuuup
>>
These threads are funny because it makes the calisthenics only goobers seethe so much but alas it's been kekke the whole time.
>>76602989
Because op doesn't actually lift. He spams 4chan nonstop and that's it. He literally does nothing else.
>>
>>76602976
It doesn't. Return here once you're done wasting your time and looking like a DYEL retard.
>>
>>76600444
