Once I hit 30 I had to quit benching. Too much shoulder pain. It was my favorite lift of them all. The gold standard. And now I am a machine cuck

Never from a barbel bench press ever, once have i hit lats. Only chest and tris. If i do incline it hits upper, decline hits lower. I did get doms in my chest and lats and delts from experimenting with dumbell press. It's all about form.

Only way i hit delts with a chest is through wide grip pushups. Problem is probably in your grip. Different lifts can work for different peoole in different ways, especially when considering variation in levels of fitness of different areas of the body, form, experience.

Benching i always thought was straight forward but technically the first time i benched i had a football coach showing me form.

Not saying this for you since you're irredeemable but if you retract shoulder blades every time and arch back a little, if you have normal physiology there's nothing bad about it. You can still overexert and hurt yourself like you can with ANY lift.
