Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

My advice is to keep a journal and heavily monitor your carb consumption and physical activity until you gain an intuition about the minimum carbs you need to eat to still feel strong. For some people thats zero. For me I tend to only need a bowl of oats and honey on my lifting days but on off days ill pretty much eat no carbs outside of a low carb tortilla and a bit of sugar in my coffee.

I was suicidal and used slop and booze to cope with it.
I work at a grocery store so food and alcohol is readily available to me in abundance and I took full advantage of that.
I started around October so I probably averaged 25 lbs of regain a month.
My routine devolved into binge eating in my car right after work, stopping at the liquor store on my way home, getting wasted and then ordering door dash.
Worst part is I was probably only 10-15 lbs away from ottermode.

I accepted my fate and learned to forgive myself for life circumstances that were completely outside of my control. I'm still holding out hope that leaning down will make things better but I don't want to be delusional and set myself up for disappointment. In case you're wondering I have gone through the rigmarole of therapy and medication before and I fully believe it stunted my mental growth leading into adulthood.

I have made a game changing discovery
>I can bring my laptop to planet fitness (or at least the employees don't care)

I did ~70 minutes on the treadmill today after my lifts. I now have a viable pathway to get down to 12% bf that isn't psmf torture or extended fasts. My plan is to hit 1.5 hours on lifting days and try to go for 2.5-3 on rest days. Hopefully I can still lose a pound or two before new years.

You need carbs, not meme diets. The only excercise where you really burn fat is HR2 walk in a fasted state. Beyond that (cardio, workouts) use mostly glycogen. Mostly, it's never 100% of either. The higher the heart rate, the more it demands glycogen.

Glycerol is a whole other thing, and to genesis or metabolize that is a complex process.

Carbs in excess do make you fat. And your everyday normie sedentary pizza eater does. But it has more to do with the non-active lifestyle, calorie surplus and calorie quality percentages.

If you workout, always feed your body slow and fast absorbing carbs 30-60min prior to the excercises (oats are excellent and cheap here). Post-workout immediately have protein and fast absorbing carbs (fruit + whey is a proven cornerstone). I love quark because of casein, I always eat it before bed, it absorbs slowly and keeps protein in my bloodstream high for repair.

All four macros are energy to the body, and each has a specific aux and secondary function. You literally become the product of body signals combined with nutritional quality.

No, it's no meme. If you were an olympic grade swimmer who got fat then yes it'd be healthy for you to lose more. But if I had to guess you're a sedentary fattie with untrained tendons, fascia and undeveloped muscles, metabolic and central nervous system. Based on that going below certain tresholds is not healthy, or productive. It's easier and better to up your expenditure than lower the deficit.

maybe i haven't been in a stall for a month after all.

i have been dieting for 10 weeks.
the first month i lost 14.5lbs and then nothing at all.
14.5lbs in a month is unrealistic for a manlet who weighed 205lbs when he started and on a 600-700kcals deficit.
half of it is more likely and the the rest is water weight.
the second month was me losing fat but not noticing it because i siwtched to eating candies and chips (although i was maintaining the same deficit according to the labels) so maybe i regained the water weight without noticing because it didn't happen at once.
this still doesn't explain my stall in the last 2 weeks but i need to cut the crap out anyway.
so maybe going low carb/keto will woosh away 6lbs and my theory will be validated.
i will start low carbs today!

Lads this is me but at 191lbs. Been here 22 days making excuses. But starting yesterday I added a bit more cardio, some jogging (only 30 min every other day) but I am being more strict with my 1800 calories limit. Last three weeks I had been letting myself eat up to 2500 somedays just because I was hungry. Wondering how long this burst of focus can last hopefully long enough to get below 185.
