Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Sometimes the smell alone is enough to choke a maggot, but they also spill over onto your lap in train cars and airplanes. OK, thank you. Next question - Cole Hamill, the snake juice guy. I have already decided that his "death fasting" is dangerous and absurd, so I am thinking of a water + supplements fast for about 15 days, then a few days of OMAD keto, meat or dairy or a mixture. Is this viable? I don't have the courage to just take supplements and water till it's all gone like that guy from Scotland.

If you haven't been regularly fasting I would highly advise not jumping into the deep end with a multi week fast.
Start slow and work your way up, you need to see how your body reacts. Start just doing OMAD for a few days, then a one day fast. Bump up to two days and then three. You really don't need to do massive fasts like that, you can easily reach your goals without going to extremes that have a chance to be harmful. I'm not saying long term fasting isn't possible, just that it's not something that has been studied enough and is also very personal. Some people take to fasting well and others don't.

Yes and No, for most fatasses who just aren't eating for a few days, yeah you're correct, but if you drink too much, like if you're using water as an appetite suppressant you might drink too much and piss out your electrolytes. Additionally If you're fasting while active, aka like you're still doing cardio and sweating your ass off you'll pretty much need some sort of electrolyte supplement or you're putting major unnecessary strain on your body. But yeah, generally speaking, for 90% of fatasses who just aren't going to eat for a few (3~5) days and aren't doing marathon training while fasted all that snake juice shit is a waste of time.

I'm talking through personal experience.
I lose around 10lbs very quickly the first month between 500-1000kcal deficit, then it falls to around 5lbs/month until plateau.
What exactly is the misinformation here?
There's around 2000 (500g carbs) calories locked in 5lbs (+2kg water) of glycogen, that gets burned off in any substantial calorie deficit (unless you do Keto, in which case you burn through glycogen with no calorie deficit).

It isn't knots, no. Its along the upper back shoulder area on the sides, and also in my neck. I have severe tech neck that I've been trying for months to remedy but no matter what I do any posture that isn't craning my neck forward feels "off" to me, and difficult to maintain. I'm obese (~280lbs now) and contracted acute gastritis. A healthy weight loss for me would be consuming ~2.7k calories a day, but I literally am struggling to even get 2k calories a day with the strict diet. I've already lost about 24lbs in 2 months.

I figure the least I can do is at least try to get a minimum of 10-20 grams of fat per each meal, even if it means drinking some olive oil or some shit.

Maybe I'm weird but I've found success with a 600kc breakfast and a big 1000kc dinner with ~200kc for a treat or snack

I have never been as big as that guy or ever super big at all so I am fine with dealing with a bleak and constant hunger while never being completely stuffed. I am currently 182lbs working towards 155lbs

i heard dr. Jason Fung saying people who fast and he is aware of didn't experience loose skin.
but of course, his people are landwhales who didn't get to the real skinny zone as far as i'm aware.
i dropped 22lbs in a little over 3 months but i'm fatfuck who dropped from ~30.5 BMI to ~28.5.
i'm still a fatfuck so i can't tell if i hace loose skin.
i also didn't drop them by fasting or in the fastest way possible.

I am 5'8. but I'm also not DYEL since I work manual labor and lift weights at my house for fun sometimes.
If I look good at 160 I might stop there but I doubt it.

Also ALL of the fat is basically concentrated to my gut and love handles (got it from drinking too much alcohol).
The last thing I would want is to lose my love handles but have them look wrinkly now that I'm in my 30s. I can post body too for a better idea of my goals.
But I think I'm too weak to fast so it's not like it matters anyways.
Might just keep lifting and doing cardio and try PSMF. Canned tuna is my jam for light protein.

I used chili as an example because right before I started this diet I happened to make like 2 gallons of some extremely ingredient rich and hearty chili. it's delicious and relatively filling but a picture of it wouldn't make anybody jealous...
