yeah but it's high volume, 1 cup is like 8 grams. 1 cup of air popped popcorn with no added oil is only 31 calories. 3 cups is a good serving and less than 100 calories. plus it even has a bit of fiber and protein. drink water/zero calorie soda with it and you'll feel full too.

I used exactly 1tbsp EVOO (120cal, plus another 60cals of oil on the salmon) for a whole cut up potato and 2 cups Brussels sprouts. Seasoned with salt, pepper, and parsley cause seasonings have negligible calories.

Air fried at 400° for 18 minutes using picrel. I’ve achieved similar with my bucket air fryer tho.

The Fitbit Alta HR scale is retarded don’t buy one. I knew from the jump it was going to be pretty inaccurate but for a few weeks it seemed to atleast track consistent data. I picked it up and moved it to clean the floor in the area and now it reads my BF% at random percentages. The first few months I used it it was always within .3% of the previous day.

I've been experimenting with carbs and fat a bit. I live in the arctic climate, in a 3 story house. Bedrooms are on the top level, fireplace and living rooms in mid, kitchen and wood burning oven in bottom. It's been -~20°c for a week now, and the cold streak continues. I have heaters and a pump, but all I've used this winter is my wood burning oven for warmth.

I'm mostly in my master bedroom, which is directly on top of the oven. The whole house is around 6°c, some bedrooms colder, the master one a bit warmer. So the only thing keeping me warm is thermogenesis.

I haven't shivered this winter. First time ever. This would suggest my body has become very efficient using fat for thermogenesis. I've always gained body fat towards winter, and lost it towards summer, naturally. I'm craving sugar and fat. When I eat fat I have no problems staying warm. With carbs I need to go under the blankets for an hour or two until I get the same effect.

How do I balance my desired intake of nutrients and other things like polyphenols with my desire to cut carbs and lose weight? I'm currently 5'11 205 lbs and want to get down to 180-185 and the only way I see to do that is exercise and cut calories, which is fine. However, if I cut calories, I feel like I am never going to get the nutrients and whatnot that I need.

Example 1: from what I have read, berries and grapes are rich in polyphenols, which are great for endothelial function, so I try to eat some of those daily, yet these are still technically carbs/natural sugars, which are going to increase my glycogen stores, and from what I what read, fat loss occurs when your glycogen stores are depleted.

Example 2: my doctor diagnosed me with hypertension, and I have slowly been cutting things like sodium, processed foods and feel much better and have seen a good drop (it's currently around 130/80, but was much higher). I have been reading that aside from exercise and isometric holds, proper electrolyte balance is essential, and potassium is a huge factor in this. I don't eat breakfast anymore and have started IF, and at work I will snack on a banana or two and some almonds/pistachios (no salt), but it's still not close to the ~4500mg of potassium the body needs. So I think now I should eat a potato each day for ~1500mg more, however, now I am eating more carbs and increasing glycogen stores.

I have cut out things in my life that contain added sugars and have stopped eating pizza and bagels, and this alone has caused me to lose weight, however, I feel a certain autism about carbs/sugars now, and I am not sure how to properly add berries, fruits and potatoes to my diet to minimize my carbs while also getting the nutrients and minerals that I want :|

Since you've started IF and are looking at this from a wide smart angle, I'd suggest doing HR2 cardio in a fasted state (morning), thia burns fat efficiently. Carbs you should have 30-60min prior to a workout and immediately after it, workout is where your muscles will not only burn the stored glycogen, but the free one in your blood.

It’s basically a way of gamifying self care. I struggle with wanting to do things without an immediate reward even if doing the thing is best for me.
It reminds me to take my meds, perform basic self care activities, eat healthy meals, etc. (and rewards me for doing said task)

Also encourages me to reflect on things, and has a lot of resources like breathing exercises and skills to use during challenging times.

The lesson to be learned is that fat, like paper towels, comes off in sheets. When you are heavy, you are big around.
