Knew a guy that ignored this and ran a lot at about your bodyweight but also 6'3" and he lost weight but still fucked his knees all up, had to take multiple month long breaks because of recurring knee pain and wore the meniscus out in both of them.

I fit in about 180-200 grams of protein a day in about 1500-1800 calories. 2 scoops of whey (I just use optimum nutrition gold standard because its available and it has a pretty good calorie to protein content ratio, im sure theres a better brand out there but its cheap and easy for me to get) and a serving of no sugar pb fit powder for flavor in a serving of greek yogurt since water whey shakes make me gag, about 350 grams of chicken breast for dinner with a cup of cooked rice, some broccoli and a salad. It varies on if I've worked out that day or not, i tend to lift as heavy as i can for about an hour and a half 3 to 4 times a week so on those days i eat a bit more to make sure i hit my protein goals but its given me decent results in maintaining muscle mass while on my diet. My lifts have had fairly small gains because I've been in a constant calorie deficit for about a month and a half but all of them are still making gains and not completely stalling or getting worse and I've lost 23 pounds. 280 to 256.5 today.

today is ash wednesday. i'm going to kick off lent this year with a three day total fast (water only) while working and doing daily cardio. 6000+ calorie deficit, that's about 2lbs fat loss in three days. i usually try for a long fast like this at the end of lent, but this year i want to do it at the beginning and the end. before you bible thumpers accuse me of committing the sin of pride- please understand that i only mention it because i hope that others will decide to experiment with fasting too. it's not as hard as you think it is. it does wonderful things for your body and your mind. don't complain- wash your face, oil your hair, and follow jesus into the desert.
I've lost 30 pounds since october. Its been pretty easy all i had to do was quit drinking, cook my own food, eat one good meal a day and besides that just eat snacks like peanuts and fruit, and light meals like salads. Took a few days off to refocus after losing a bunch of weight in 4 weeks and it made me realize just how much of a time waste cooking "varied" meals is. And I like cooking.Back to eating the same shit every day for the next 6 weeks until Easter. You have so much more time when you cook for like 1 hour twice a week, and shopping is so much simpler too when you buy the same shit every time. Plus, less time spent thinking about food makes a HUGE difference in how easy it easy to stick to your diet. Highly recommend.

My primary goal is to build strength to be able to do more in martial arts rather than lift for lifting's sake.So, I want to try an upper/lower split. Something like this: Sunday-upper, Tuesday-boxing, Thursday-Judo, Saturday-lower. If I worked out the same exercises, the same muscles 3xweek, PLUS boxing and judo, I'd just be too fatigued. Even though the gym sessions are on adjacent days (Sat.-Sun.), I believe because of the split I won't be as fatigued and can therefore work enough to build strength for both areas every week for the purposes of strengthening my martial arts. And even if it is too much OR too little, you can stretch the routine over two weeks: boxing, judo, upper//boxing, judo, lower. Wdyt? Is it too stupid?Also, I'll address the bad form problems in a second maybe.
