Depends on "why are the disparate?" and "how much will it cost?". You can do that easily in Rust. Borrow checker has nothing to do with bit manipulations. Rust has many conversion methods like from_le_bytes, reverse_bits, leading_zeros, etc which makes it even nicer out of the box when dealing with bit/byte manipulation.
