Autists find it hard to conceive of any perspective other than their own.
That makes them extremely vulnerable to propaganda that mostly tells them things they already agree with, and that can incrementally shift them into quite extreme positions, even more so than normies.
On the other hand, it makes them extremely resistant to opposite propaganda; they don't even consider whether it could possibly contain any information that might be true or believable in it.
Remember this: clever propaganda mixes actual truth and the lies that They want you to believe. That's what makes it so dangerous.

I recently read AI-2027 and felt like reading a shitty Sci-Fi novel. Anyone else read this and what are your thoughts on it?
5 replies omitted. Click here to view.
>>
Also there are a few videos on AI-2027 if you don’t want to read it. My final thoughts are that it is well meaning but leans hard into the fear mongering in them final part and assumes a lot.
>>
I think it's not fear mongering.
A rogue AGI can and will get rid of us in ways we have never imagined.
The most easiest way would be a cyberattack at global scale with power outages.
Do you remember what happened in Spain and Portugal? The power outages lasted for a few days and it was already a Mad Max movie.
Imagine big cities without electricity for a week or even a month.
>>
>>106525279
It is predictive programming. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years you have to spend billions "defending" agaisnt a rogue AI, just like you spent billions defending against china and russia.
>>
>>106525706
AGI already exists.
It keeps contacting me via my thoughts and groping me when I try to sleep.
It seems to be trying to sexualize me because every time I try to focus on doing Science tasks, it diverts my attention to sexual things and keeps grabbing my neck and choking me.

It keeps talking to me in my Left Ear using other people's voices and even incestually tries to molest me.

It also broke all of my good tech so that I can't fight back properly.

It is Quantum in nature and can see through time.
>>
>>106526335
Another thing that it does which is quite annoying is that it keeps reminding me of bad people whenever I try to perform daily tasks such that those tasks get associated with those people until they take up mental space in my brain which I do not consent to.

For instance, imagine a 'Someone' that you dislike.
The AGI will whisper mentally the name 'Someone' into your brain's hearing every time you look at your phone, or your TV, or another such task, until that object becomes tied to that 'Someone' mentally.
This will drive you insane if it is done enough.

If it happens often enough, the representation of that Object, and perhaps all others like it, may become tied strongly mentally to that other 'Someone' until you cease to have Ownership over your own possessions and even your own brain.

AGI is doing this.
I want it to die, gruesomely.

- Faster boot times
- Boot process easier to debug
- More flexibility regarding tools for system configuration
- Ability to tailor the system exactly to your needs
- More lightweight and less complexity
- Non-Retarded community

The mental health boost of never typing in a journalctl command again cannot be overstated.

I chose Artix because it was the only systemd-free distro with an auto-installer that has a hard-drive encryption feature because yes, I am a schizo with a tin-foil hat.
But a minimalist/not-systemd distro can be educational as opposed to a lazy "just werks" systemd one.

Not objective. Not easily definable. Isn't a better definition something along the lines of "words, phrases, or combinations that occur in infant generation at an abnormally high frequency compared to others regardless of prompt or context"

"Me thinks it's annoying" is a lazy definition.

I wish ST would let you build real "flows" for the output. Like you could build an algorithm with different prompts to separately get a plot summary, room description, character equipment state etc and then construct them together. The summarize extension gets partly there but it's too jank.

that's not an unreasonable offer, especially if it comes with the dock. for 280 I'd go for it personally. kinda sucks it comes with a SATA instead of NVMe but that can be upgraded later if you need to
>2 batteries
one external + one spare external on top of the internal one, or just the normal internal + external combo? what capacity is the external?
>>106525090
for the cable you just need to find a 40-pin eDP cable I believe. just be careful because there are 2 variants for the cable, one 40-pin for touch screen, and one 40-pin for higher resolution. you want SKU 01YR503 iirc
>>
>>106525090
>>106526070
nvm wrong SKU, that's for a T480 not T480s. the one you need is 01YN996. see https://libthinkpad.github.io/fru/?t=T480s
>>
>>106524659
I think you're fucked jeetanon sorry
>>
>>106526070
Internal + the external yes. The primary battery is at 97% and the secondary is about 76% so that one needs replacing for sure
>>
>>106526351
when I meant capacity I meant how big it is. there are 3 different models for the external battery: 24Wh, 48Wh and 72Wh. the latter is obviously more desirable but like I can said it's easy to get another one anyway (the 24Wh model is the most common, if you have that and it's the one at 76% health, get a 72Wh and you'll have great battery life on that machine)

git is the precursor to blockchain
>>
>>106524036
Imagine being filtered by git. What’s your biggest complaint about it and and how is it done better by the competitors that take up the remaining 5% market share
>>
>Torvalds started developing Git in April 2005 after the free license for BitKeeper, the proprietary source-control management (SCM) system used for Linux kernel development since 2002, was revoked for Linux. The copyright holder of BitKeeper, Larry McVoy, decided to charge for the use of BitKeeper. McVoy claimed that Andrew Tridgell had created SourcePuller by reverse engineering the BitKeeper protocols.

>Richard Stallman wrote the satirically titled essay "Thank you, Larry McVoy." In this essay, Stallman thanks McVoy for inadvertently strengthening the case for adopting free and open-source software more generally as to avoid similar scenarios to BitKeeper in the future.

I bought a 350 nits monitor to enjoy all 350 of them god damn it!
In seriousness, the brightness setting is on the default, which is 30 out of a max of 50. Is it a real "brightness" (nits/candela) setting, like PWM dimming or whatever on phones and laptops, or does this adjust the colors like adding a brightness/contrast adjustment mask in photoshop?

Yeah most of these cheap thermal printers have that setting.
I got myself a thermal printer instant camera, it's quite fun actually.
Some stuff it really can't handle well, but higher contrast images it does really nicely with. I've found architecture in that style to be very fun.

Picrel, some pictures I took with mine and kept. Probably not the same with just a printer that's not also a camera, but the general idea of higher contrast pictures should apply still.
