FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

one of my PCs is being stubborn with Office activation. windows is picking up on the sppc64.dll and Office breaks any time i try activating with MAS. any solutions?
>>
>>107703347
Use Office Scrubber, reinstall Office and activate with MAS.
Make sure to install one of the latest ones.

I made a fresh install and I must say that the unattended tool at https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-generator/ is state of the art comfy.
It deals with 99% of the annoyances of a fresh install and it's reproducible.
It's either this or installing aids and use the chris titus tool to remove it.

Both those tools are buried in the section:
>Should I debloat / build my own ISO?
If you need to ask, then no.
If you know what you're doing:
https://pastebin.com/S5VKBirt

Imo this general should push the users to use these tools because it's either this or getting fucked by 100 small annoyances you need to fix by hand following some pajeet tutorials first SEO link on google.
The "if you know what you're doing" is no longer relevant because you can use these tools while chatting with an AI and get the quick run down of anything not clear.

i just don't like how it like wraps everything in the xml file in single line. i just have an basically empty autounattened.xml file call an install.cmd script that applies the windows image and does all the registry edits that i need. it's easier to edit it that way imo.

>you can use these tools while chatting with an AI
Yep you're exactly the kind of people that should definitely not be tampering with their windows install.

The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. Is there any CPU fan model (with a heatsink or not) that would fit this old motherboard (released in 2009), if yes then which size should I choose?

Thanks, good to know about backwards compatibility. Unfortunately in my frozen shithole everything's very expensive due to VAT, import tax but I can deal with it.

A little bit too barbaric but thanks for the suggestion.

I tried by plugging the clone, it gives me bsod on different hw. There's a workaround by "repairing" windows during the install while keeping the clone with files, programs, signatures etc.

I do have 2 other desktops (including hp z420) and 3 laptops (including dell m4800). I'm not low on money, yes I can, I just don't like the modern case design and lack of legacy ports.

This is my very first pc which I still use as a dedicaded win xp machine. Here are the specs: athlon II x2 250 cpu, 4gb ddr3 ram, geforce gt640 2gb, two 7200rpm wd hdds. It's laughable by modern standards but for me it still had its use.

As someone who uses XFCE and Cinnamon this makes sense. At startup while running Pulse Effects, CopyQ and Flameshot my machine uses 990mb/1gig. Now its at 1.81gb with two mpv windows, Htop on Xxterm and Terminator.

Still much lower then Windows 11s idle 3.5-4gigs

Try to avoid comparing yourself to OTHERS, and the paradigms which OTHERS are set in, or comparing yourself to some paradigms that you've become convinced are IDEAL and you have difficulties or impossibilities "measuring up to". Perhaps learn to explore your inner world via MEDITATION and use it to DISCOVER things within yourself that are presently HIDDEN as you work your way through looking deeper and beyond the comparisons, patterns, ideals, etc.

Consider learning an autistic layout like Colemak or Graphite if learning from scratch
It's almost never worth it to re-learn if you're already good at qwerty, but if you're hunt-and-pecking at 70-80wpm and intend to learn touch typing from scratch anyway then might as well learn something more comfortable from the get-go rather than the garbage that is qwerty IMO.

You can spend hours deciding on a layout but if you don't want to, Graphite or Gallium are generally the recommended ones if you're good with a fully custom autistic one, or Colemak as a good-enough option (still way way better than qwerty) that's available on pretty much every OS so you can always set it up on a new machine without configuring or installing anything.

vovsoft looks good thanks. there's an ad popup when you open the program which I can live with but it's still a minor inconvenience so I went digging around myself and it's mindboggling how you need to buy every program for a cancer-free version
is it really too much to ask for something that shows the pictures (visually, not in path names), has a few options for combining and that's literally all? there's a trillion free software for full-on image/video/text editing but not a simple thing like this, it's weird

The government should implement a tax
capital_Usage_tax(capital_group, employee_group)
any time some capital (like a computer or program) is used by an employee to create something that something should be taxed.
This would immediately evaporate the useless jobs and show us how horrible the economy actually is.

https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/12/drone-first-responder-programs-2025-review

>Drone as first responder (DFR) adoption really took off in 2025. Though the concept has been around since 2018, this year saw more normalization of the technology, its integration into more real-time crime center structures, and the implementation of automated deployment of drones.

>A DFR program features a fleet of camera-equipped drones, which can range from just a couple to dozens or more. These are deployed from a launch pad in response to 911 calls and other calls for service, sometimes operated by a drone pilot or, increasingly, autonomously directed to the call location. The appeal is the promise of increased “situational awareness” for officers headed to a call. This video offers a short explanation of DFR, and for a list of all of the cities we know use drones, including DFR programs, check out EFF’s Atlas of Surveillance.

>Problem is that the F35 is such a hotbutton topic its hard to tell who is shilling who.
True. There is so much money in that project and so much financial engineering that the project simply cannot be killed. A lot of the things developed for F-35 could have been tested and even back ported to F-16, F-15 and F-18 which would have reduced risks and costs a lot by parallel and incremental development, but they never did that.

How do you access ext3 or ext4 partitions from windows 10?

i used Ext2fsd which is a small program that can be ran as a service and automounts your filesystem in read only mode to the drive letter of your choice.

i hadn't used windows in a while and after a reinstall it doesn't seem to work anymore.

It can see my partition, tries to mount it but when i click on the drive in windows explorer it says "you need to format the drive before you use it" then when i choose "no" it says "the volume does not contain a recognized filesystem.

windows can't into Ext partitions anymore? how is this even acceptable?

Exactly, because LLMs at their current point aren't even at the level of indians, let alone a human being.

A model can get a task and generate 100% correct code for it, so long as no extra factors are taken into account and you take the result at face value seeking no internal expertise past the basic tools needed to get it done. Sure, nowadays they can throw in some nice CSS if you ask for web shit, but still, far from a decent human coder.
