Well, I downloaded the Chinese cartoon video game he mentioned, but when it asked for 32gb more space, and I cleared 36gb, restarted the game and it still cried about wanting 32gb of space, I'm going to go ahead and assume it's the game and not the device. A video game that I play has a WASD mode; it’s a very high APM game, and its WASD implementation requires intentional individual spam of each button to maximize its output. I have been having a dogshit experience with it, so I’ve naturally investigated.
It turns out that my shitty membrane keyboard, which is comfy otherwise, has like 50–100ms latency on each key press, rarely going like 20–30 on some random ones, so we’re speaking about atrocious update times for the inputs.
I’ve tested my mouse, which I got second-hand for peanuts, and it has an average of 1ms on each button after spamming each for a long time…
I think it’s time to get a gaming keyboard; how do I decide which one to get? I heard the optical switches have mouse-like results, but they tend to be expensive.

Because 90+% of buyers are like OP and either never use even 10% of max storage capacity, or they just use it to backup data without ever verifying the data integrity - by the time they need to retrieve it it's already well past all warranties, and they probably just shrug off the data being corrupted being caused by the device being too old.

What you linked said that it has scripts installing stuff via "curl | sh". That's bad or doesn't age well. That should only be used on the most visible, manually ran, and latest+maintained install instructions. With host-based addressing, someone could stop working on stuff (abandoned software), a malicious entity takes over example.com/install, then bam anyone using "curl $url | sh" gets infected with nasty malware or becomes part of a botnet. Pwning Linux computers is that easy in that case: definitely has targeted viruses/malware.
