How do I cope with the fact that I might have cockblocked myself out of a higher salary?
I had a year long internship on this corpo where they made it clear than they wanted me after stating that I was getting an offer somewhere else.
This gave me the upper hand, but the moment they asked me "How much do you expect to earn?" (this is in a different department from where I had my internship) I fucking froze and gave them an acceptable range as a junior.
Then they gave me a salary slightly above of what I asked.
This could be considered a win.
I earn slightly more than most of my former coworkers (who are data analysts while I am now an engineer), more than anybody out of my CS friend group, whilst ascending from lower to upper-middle class in my country. And all this as a recent graduate.
However, the greedy bastard inside me still wonders how much more I could have gotten.
>>
If they paid you more than you asked for then yes fucking obviously you gave a number that was way too fucking low lmao. Your coworkers are making at least 40% more than you. And don't forget your first job locks in your total wages for life since raises are incrimental.

Is this thread filled with bots only or is everyone pretending we haven't been aware that BCIs were set to replace normalfag's personal spying devices by 2030?

It isn't like the WEF and every dumb actorfag they prop up as the "genius" front men for Government projects hasn't been yammering on about this since the late 2010s or anything.

I swear there is no where left to even discuss the state of things anymore. I want my comfy psychopolitics and actual technology boards back. I'm sick of being locked in here with underaged faggots, retards, pajeets and LLMs pretending to be the three above classes of dumb retards.

Normalfags are going to gleefully accept the "internet of bodies" technology under their skin because they're stupid retarded faggots that actually think it'll give them super powers or turn them into real female 2D magical girls just like in those shitty movies and anime they consume constantly. I sometimes wish I was born with a nigger-tier IQ like they were. Maybe then I could enjoy constantly consuming games, TV shows and movies that do nothing but tell the same stories over and over again.

Yo senpai did you see the new Star Wars? It's lit. Luke is now black and the princess is a strong independent woman (male). S(he) saves nigger luke from the new Darth Fag (played by some bollywood pajeet you've never heard of). Amazing special effects!

They even made an amazing video game based on it already with amazing mind blowing graphics (same Unreal engine bullshit you've been playing for the last 20 years in reality). I'm going to drop $3k on a top-end Nividia gfx card to experience the ray tracing and a bunch of other words I don't really understand. Should pair well with my new ultrawide curved 8k HDR LCD television. Got it for the low low price of $300 down payment then only $100 a month for the next 72 months using my amazon credit card! An amazing deal!

This. I keep hearing normies saying AI is a bubble. It's the same as when normies called crypto a bubble back in 2021 when GPU prices were skyrocketing. Look at GPU prices now and it'll give you a hint at what RAM prices will be in 4 years.

Usecase for affordable RAM?
>>
>>107716843
I think it's even more sophisticated than that. Companies like Microsoft that are investing into AI also have cloud gaming services.
They buy up massive amounts of computer hardware like RAM and GPUs for their AI servers so they can profit off of that, but then they also force people into using their cloud gaming services because computer hardware is so scarce. It's all so tiring bros.

Thinking of buying a used HDD off ebay
If I do a hard wipe with DiskGenius will that 100% ensure there's no malware slipped in there? What do I do to make sure there's no hidden malware?

Actual good advice? I think I'll try that.
>>
There is zero filling software out there that can do a whole whack load of passes but most of that is a waste of time. Macrorit data wiper free and pro will do the trick. There is something called killdisk too that you can search for online. It does the same thing. Zero fill the entire drive is usually good enough. You can then do a random pass the next time. There is 35 passes but it takes forever... Blah blah blah.

Usually just wiping the entire drive including all partitions will do the trick. Then reformat the drive accordingly. Doing a full check disk to see if any sections of the drive are failing is a good idea to do on used drives also. You may have bought a dud. Better find out now rather than when it fails with all your data on it.
>>
>>107716862
No such malware
>>
>>107716862
bang on it
>>
>>107716862
I'd me more worried about a failing drive than malware. Make sure to run crystaldiskinfo to check drive health before you store anything on it.

Also this >>107716996 is good advice. But keep your expectations limited. You can find old DVRs from thrift stores for ~$5 though I've only ever found old HDDs that have a lot of read/write cycles.

New version is out.

Also, why was my previous thread deleted? This is a software-based application explicitly engineered for operation within the computational and telecommunications framework of a handheld mobile device, ok? It is therefore unambiguously situated within the broader domain of contemporary technological systems, infrastructures, and applied digital sciences, and as such relevant to /g/.

oh man that's comfy. do you mind sharing what some of that stuff is between the CRTs and what they do? Looks like an oscilloscope, a UV meter, and some other things. I really like analog tech
>>
>>107717269
I initially set this stuff up for a music video I still haven't made, a lot of it is test equipment that I normally have elsewhere on my workbench. It's still sitting there for when I want to play games or burn CDs though.

That's not a normal oscilloscope, it's a curve tracer. I mainly use it for matching transistors and diodes for audio circuits, oscillators, filters, etc.
Other than that there is a function generator, multimeter, PSU, frequency counter.

The laparoflator equipment isn't something I have a use for really, it's just medical equipment that came alongside the medical PVM just out of frame on the right.

Right under that PVM is a NTSC waveform monitor and vectorscope. I am using that as part of my setup for calibrating CRTs for my video wall which has been an ongoing project for some time.

Not if you use clocklock with CLOCK_MONOTONIC.
>>
>>107718058
maybe what they ought to do is separate duration and timestamp waits but probably the latter is used by the system in most long duration waits in implementations anyway
>>
>>107718131
yeah POSIX added the clocklock but c11 threads.h uses TIME_UTC.
I bet threads.h was made by microsoft trannies to kill c.

>Doesn't setting your system clock backwards cause these mutexes to wait possibly forever?
I wouldn't be surprised if the kernel handled this properly. It's aware of all of the threads that are currently waiting on a mutex.

A chroot is like a manual container, you would basically have to set up everything manually that other container systems do automatically for you and i dont know how you would go about setting up things like a separate or isolated network interface in a chroot.

Theres not much reason to use debian testing when you could be using sid/unstable instead. Testing updates lag behind by weeks or months while sid will always get updates much quicker.
