It's supposed to be used in conjunction with Intels Optane SSDs. It's extremely slow on its own but through Optanes SSD caching it speeds up certain workloads. This is only for shit running Windows Server.

Linux can use Optane DIMMs as a block device, at that point they are just a insanely fast SSD with better latency. Limited to a few Intel platforms however.

The billions of ways to init variables may not matter much in the real world, but it's a massive red flag for the rest of the language.

Arch Linux is the only version of Linux I can get to install on my laptop. Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, RHEL, OpenSUSE all crash by the time they can even start the install process. Granted my laptop has a pretty terribly-supported iGPU but even generic Windows drivers handle it fine so I don't know why it's so hard for Linux. And I don't know if that's even the problem. Has anyone else ever had inexplicable problems with certain distros? I thought all Linux used the same kernel?

I've installed Debian and Fedora just fine on a shittier 3200u Ideapad. Try googling the exact full name of your laptop, not the generic name because there can be a ton of variation within models. If you're on Arch right now a fetch program should give you the full name, fastfetch should actually just tell you the igpu name too.

Do what you want but if you get one and lose interest, just sell it to someone else and move the fuck on. There's nothing more tedious than someone who buys one with vague notions of what they're going to use it for, get disappointed when it's not magic, and then posts endlessly in 3d printing and modeling threads about how everything sucks. If that's your plan, just fuck off and fuck off forever.

I think an important distinction should be that 3D printing is not the hobby itself. A 3D printer is a tool that helps you with your actual hobby.

why are so many programming "help" groups like this? like, somebody will specifically opt into helping people, and then get frustrated when they dont do exactly what they expect. it constantly feels like im testing everyone's patience whenever i ask for help and its even harder trying to just learn everything myself, especially considering all the weird semantic differences in both the language itself and guides.

like i can imagine a full script in my head but i wouldnt know how to translate it into the language im currently using. and on the offchance that i *do* get the help needed, usually its just "oh just use the blah function", so its not like i just Dont Know How To Code or anything i just dont know the shit thats specific to the engine, and its not like i can just look it up in a glossary or something because the words can be totally different from language to language, like how "object" in one language can be "entity" in another, and object in *that* language refers to an object in an array or something, so theres just a huge language gap that i cant really cross without the help of others, which sucks because working with others sucks

>Explain why method A is better

The thing is though, you can't really expect some high level of tutoring if they do it for free. Just take what you can get and be grateful.

I recently joined a C++ help group and while a bit particular about stuff, the help I got was great because they spoonfed me a bunch of C++ concepts, more each time I produced real examples of what I was trying to do.
Loved it honestly, I'll go back in a jiffy when I program in C++ again.

The question answerer has an XY problem. They want to control the other person, but that's the asker's role.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

I mean, if someone called a chat client "ChristTalk," it would be reasonable to assume that the person who made it was a Christian. That's likely where they drew their inspiration.
It doesn't help that 'fans' gaslight people who call this out.
It's a disc client, so everyone who uses this is 764 until proven otherwise. Courts have due process. I have suspicions.

>Revelations 9:11
>And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
The angel of destruction under God's order that has the key to the bottomless pit.
>Revelations 20:1-3
>And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
>And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
>And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Binds Satan in the end times.
>>
>>107646213
You're lying.
Abaddon is the king of the locusts in the bottomless pit. He's in the pit because he's the devil. Jesus isn't a Greek sun god, and neither are any of the angels.
This is an intentional blasphemy misidentifying lucifer. You're a satanist. You probably fuck kids.

I was fed up with the recent laggy and bloated windows release so I checked out Mint but it was pretty janky and not a great experience overall, a lot of my programs didn't work on it as well
But then I got recommended a youtube tutorial on installing an older windows version and it made me wonder if that would be a viable alternative so I read some guides and turns out you can actually still use that version just fine if you install a modern web browser and a firewall
I was expecting to have to tinker a bit to get new programs working on it but turns out they just work out of the box
I wish Mint was as pleasant of an experience because I enjoy customizing things and it's kind of known for that, but it really falls flat in comparison
Anyone else here switched to older windows?

When you step back, look around, and realize that it's literally only the most unintelligent troglodytes who are anti-"AI", then you begin to easily see how their hatred derives entirely from their utter inability to think for themselves enough to be able to actually use it effectively. They are NPCs who are expecting the technology to think for themselves, and get mad when it doesn't. They are stuck with defaults because they lack imagination enough to customize.

correct, it's a resource that allows certain functions for the chinese state. Despite not making an EBITDA profit, the movement it allows is a far greater economical gain.

If 1000 businessmen can save 6h every 2 weeks and they can do business way faster China wins overall.
But the amerijew cannot comprehent this as they are atomized cattle. They simply do not grasp a nation acting and moving together. It's just me me me.

1. Stop using a Chromium based browser, uBO, even if the browser supports it, will never work properly.
2. Stop using uBO Lite and expecting it to work, same story as above, filters only update when the addon does.
3. If you are on FF + uBO then 'Dashboard > Support > Troubleshooting Information > More > Purge All Caches', clean your browser cache as well after this.
4. Enable aditional filters in uBO, they're there for a reason.
