Increasing the size of the page file worked even though no part of the model is going to the page file.

lmao does that work?

These could help you if you want Claude to retain some of it's reasoning: (they've got a bunch of Claude QnA datasets).

It's worth including some general QnA otherwise your model will overfit.

Btw, less than a month until Opus-3 gets turned off so switch to that one if you like that model.

Ok that somewhat makes sense. I'm just confused because most of the service stuff like Grok or Gemini has to scrape the internet for answers.

So which one should you pick if you have modest specs? (16 vram and 32gb ddr5 memory ram)

You can rebind any input including the scroll wheel to any control or setting the player has. There's --prefetch-playlist as well but it's not really necessary as mpv renders even giant >30 megapixel images in <1 ms. Things must be dire if typical image viewers are so slow that they have loading indicators.

They do. I have no idea how. Usually they use hundreds of megabytes of prefetch RAM.

I guess it's because they implement all the scaling algorithms purely in CPU. To be honest, any modern computer should still do that in under a frame CPU only, though.

john carmack was re-writing doom in scheme. anyone knows how that turned out?
>>
>>107589332
I tried FP by doing this year's advent of code in Gleam and thought it was good, but strict FP was just a little annoying.

I realized that if I wanted to cache the results of a function call for memoization that I had to pass the cache in as a parameter and return it as a part of a tuple since "no side effects" really means none at all.

I realized that writing code that is 90% functional and 10% procedural is probably the sweet spot for simplicity.
>>
Functional programming is just another word for
> be MORE explicit about what you're doing
in this case it's what your function inputs and outputs are.
Brainlets think this is really neat even though it should come naturally to most people.

I feel you there.
>>107595705
>that I had to pass the cache in as a parameter and return it as a part of a tuple since "no side effects" really means none at all.
That's a good thing though, it makes it very explicit which memory a function call will (or might) affect.
>>
>>107596014
I guess I could have just made a "CachedFunction" type/modad or something similar that checks the cache before applying a function, but then I would be doing real functional programming, and I would spend more time staring at my turned-up open palms, wondering what I have finally become than programming the thing I get paid for, or am having fun with.

>>

Brave is 75% good. It has it's issues. The included ad blocking feature is so-so. It's hard to use to block things manually. Their updates break more things than they fix. Most importantly you have to shut off A LOT OF FUCKING SWITCHES in the settings to get it unspammy and un-brave. In other words, to get it to work like it should out of the box without using it's really shitty services by default.

It sounds like I'm thrashing it but it's been my daily driver for years now. At one point I uninstalled Firefox mobile because you can't export bookmarks. At least you can do that in Brave though for about 7 months it was broken. It's working again now thankfully.

Anyhow I reinstalled firefox mobile just to have a backup browser other than Chrome to open the sites that don't work in Brave.

TL;DR Brave is so-so. About a 75% rating once you spend a while shutting bullshit off. Then it's Okay until the next update which breaks shit.

This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030.

>In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.

>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.

>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.

none, it doesn't use any custom server, the HWID method it's just a trick that registers your PC hardware in Microsoft's own servers by using their own tools because their activation system is fundamentally flawed and they can't easily fix it. So it's as clean and legit as piracy can get

Happens all the time. GPL is hardly enforceable and fsf only goes after major companies. If someone did that to my code we'd be able to easily know by it calling GEGL and GMIC. From what I understand legally their code can be closed but if they modify my code and post it online it must be open.

The same could be said about other open source libraries being dependent. That is how people may know.
