>Being concerned that TSMC’s expansion into the United States could dilute Taiwan’s semiconductor leadership, Taiwanese authorities are mulling setting a new export rule that would only let the world’s number-one foundry export technologies that are two generations behind its leading-edge production node

kinda funny, not gonna lie. apparently the taiwanese think america is somehow obliged to protect them from the mainlaind. just because, apparently.

What is the best way to download and install or store software on a minimal installation? Some programs want me to use Snap or Flathub some kind of package manager, others let me use the terminal to download the software and "install" it god knows where, whereas some give me tar.xz archives which I guess are analagous to portable applications on Windows I can extract anywhere and run or create shortcuts to.

I have OCD by the way and don't want to clutter my filesystem with loose files I cannot keep track of.
>>
>>107623824
>I cannot keep track of.
that's the job of your package manager. Use your distros package manager. Ignore Fatpacks, Snaps, and downloading some fucking tarball.

Perhaps the financial market generates value by increasing liquidity and funneling capital to ventures. Perhaps it also reduces interest rates and can be used to reduce risk. I remember reading an article about a farmer facing a tough spring: apparently they used the futures market to hedge risk if it turns out they didn't produce that much or smth

I mean it's kind of cucked. You have to use KDE on wayland. And then for each game that supports it, you have to add an additional startup command and use a specific proton fork or it won't just detect shit.

Since Floens, Dickcheese and Ponyfucker are all dead, in this thread we worship Dimitri for being the only faggot still doing his job, but we also throw shit at him for his questionable design choices.
My 2 cents:
Catalog search does not filter, it's just Ctrl+F
You can sort bookmarks in the bookmarks menu but not in the bookmarks swipe tab
Scrollbar is ugly and thick
Pic attachment is not I'm the reply area but it's on the opposite side of the screen
In the bookmarks tab, what's the difference between "unbookmark" and "delete"?
You can't swipe bookmarks away to unbookmark

Pls fix

Thanks for getting it working.
Haven't been on it much but I do wonder a couple things:
The catalog is more inconsistent with images; when tapping on one thread's OP image, it opens another. When tapping on the thread itself, it opens the correct thread, OP pic and all, as expected. Anyone else?
I read yesterday how the updater is "confused" and redownloads the same version. I haven't messed with that, but wonder when it will update and only notify when there's actually a new version?
More philosophical; vibe coding. Is it actually a retarded or smart idea? Why can't AI be told what's wrong in the app, the expected behavior, then rewrite the component so it works?

Everytime I use my unmodified smartphone or Discord my friends I feel like a fucking idiot, knowing for all my privacy conciousness and stress I still do this since the last 10 years from my teens to adulthood, knowing these schmucks know what devices I use, who I am, where I live, my psych profile, who I have sex with, everything for all I know. It makes me want to puke.

So why can't I or all my other peers drop this fucking ring?

The actual coup de grace for zoomers entrenched in FAGMAN services and smartphones is AI, and the datacenters anre algorithims no doubt already in operation since 2022 automatically sorting all this data per individual. Palantir must surely be the public face of the NSA.

And if you're using chink phones, you get both CCP and USA building profiles of you somewhere for all you know.

You really think this only started 2022?
Bluffdale been runnin' since 2014, and that wasn't even a first move. It wasn't even in the early phase of the f'kin game.

>alantir must surely be the public face of the NSA.
They don't need a public face.
They are actually harmed by a public face.
Which is why they tend to operate through steps of removal. And the operatives implanted in companies get to draw two paycheques if they don't reveal they really NSA.

these btx dells just fucking suck like that, i had an E520 i bought brand new and every couple of years you start having ram issues, i think its a leadless solder issue because i used fuckhuge 1066 ddr2 with heatsinks and i needed to replace my board much more frequently. if you dont add an exhaust fan a couple years of use at load will blow all the caps on the back of the board, but they're cheap and dell support is great. the 780 uses ddr3, you could just get a 4gb dimm and move it around, not like youll notice single channel in xp

yeah this is why i got a D505 for w98 because back in the day pretty much every dedicated graphics card would inevitably fail, including the radeon igp/7000/9000 that everyone thinks is the shit for dos now, those systems are on borrowed time. Some socket A systems with a nforce chipset had a geforce 4 embedded but good luck finding one cheap. the intel chips are largely overlooked despite being more than adequate and having less issues. HP yeeted all of their XP drivers making buying their old systems a royal pain, they did the same thing with 7 too, too bad dell desktops are just shit
