It's one thing I've never learnt myself. I can't eat many sweets and that kills half of the joy, to be honest. I should rather learn how to make hand-made pasta, it's supposedly quite simple and I cook *much* more complex and time consuming stuff, but I never bothered.

They were for keeping up with subscriptions. Think of all your "favorites" feeds on all the social media sites you peruse, but all gathered in a single native application.

fzf config file -- you'll have to set some options for this to work, namely autocd. Read this over if you want to use it. you have to export IGNOREEOF=42 to keep ctrl-d from closing the terminal.

I'm not a jew but 1:1 would give you the most screen area per diagonal.
Widescreen and ultra widescreen are a ripoff.

function size_from_ar(ar, diag) {
let ar_ratio = ar.w / ar.h
let h = diag / Math.sqrt((ar_ratio**2) + 1);
let w = ar_ratio * h
return {w, h}
}

function area(size) {
return size.w * size.h
}

function print(ar, diag, size) {

At this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.
I'm X11 pilled.

No doubt he's highly productive, but I'd dispute "highly reliable" and I think he has poor programming taste. I think he needs a few more years of programming experience. I'm generally pretty conservative when it comes to software though. I was a very late switcher from ALSA to PulseAudio so when I finally switched, it worked perfectly on the first try. I was a late switcher from PulseAudio to PipeWire, and it worked perfectly on the first try too. I've decided I wouldn't use MongoDB when I saw that it was hyped by incompetent JavaScript programmers who can't make good use of SQL. I'm only now trying out Wayland (that's why I looked at the development practices of various compositors). And I refuse to use projects like Hyprland that still haven't transitioned from the experimental cowboy programming stage to the stable maintenance and polishing stage. I don't expect most Hyprland users to understand.

The new Valve VR headset might lead to a surge in the VR space BUT... The exploding cost of RAM might knee cap that growth.

We might see some more VR/XR offerings from Apple as well.

Hmm, maybe some consumer tier AI inference-only accelerators? Something that doesn't need lots of ram. is that even possible?

A very expensive year for tech.
