I did it long ago because gpu-next is broken. Hardware decoding broken on gpu-next opengl on vp8. Vulkan takes like 2 seconds for a window open. On X11 it's even worse, 99% cpu usage on one core.

Apparently it does have the SSE4.2 instruction set so in theory it will work, but it's on the edge of compatibility so that might change in the future

It can run Enterprise with the bypasses or LTSC IoT without tweaks

Why would I want to do this? Does it make the model stay in character better?
>>
>>107625913
I already changed my nvidia package versions but the news mentions nothing about cuda breaking with v13. cuda-tools isn't even a package in the main repos anymore, only on the AUR.
>>
>>107625985
It's useful if you notice it keeps getting something wrong, or to enforce a style. If you have a mute character, and it says so in the defs, it's still pretty likely that the model will forget and have {{char}} speak anyway. Then a
>Remember: {{char}} is mute and can't speak.
at a low depth (close to the next reply) will usually be more powerful than a faraway line in the character defs.
>>
CUDAbros... Not like this...
>>
>>107625985
>Does it make the model stay in character better?
It can if you put a simple "Respond according to char's personality", or to add emphasis to certain instructions if you notice the adherence or style drifting by adding a short : "According to {the instructions}, write your response as char. Put it above the last user message so it goes System (depends on model), User, Char.

So what's the deal with everyone hating on Rust?
The usual points people bring up are:
>wokism
>tranny language
>made by jews
>it's a cult

Disregarding the aforementioned points, can you tell me actual reasons for why a safe(r) programming language like Rust shouldn't be adopted more widely?

A lot of Lisps have inline assembly. Lisp is a systems programming language.
https://github.com/sbcl/sbcl/blob/master/src/assembly/x86-64/arith.lisp
>>
It is political, from inception, which makes any other objective things about the language irrelevant.
It's pretty simple, actually, and I don't believe that there's anyone not acting in bad faith who doesn't understand this.
>>
>>107625965
To be a less flippant, I don't think that supporting e.g. inline assembly is enough to make something a proper systems language.
There exists a way to write Rust that looks basically like C with raw points all over the place and everything marked unsafe. (There are Rust-to-C transpilers that output code like that.) If that were the only way to do systems programming in Rust then I wouldn't consider Rust a fully-fledged systems language, it'd basically be two languages in a trenchcoat. What makes Rust more than that is the fact that you can write a lot of pretty idiomatic high-level-looking code even inside a kernel. You need some amount of weird unsafe glue but you can build nice zero-cost abstractions and write idiomatic code on top of that without tanking the efficiency or importing a whole runtime.
How idiomatic does Systems Lisp look? Is it basically a fancy macro assembler? Is it a bizarre subset where you can't even construct lists because those require dynamic memory allocation? Or is it business as usual?
(I kinda know elisp. I haven't seriously studied lisp machines.)

You have no clue. fagOS or any modern Linux distro's relation to actual Unix is completely arbitrary. Developing graphical applications for either platform is nothing like developing for Unix proper. If you're doing anything object oriented, cool or not, it's not Unix. NeXT/OS X isn't Unix and neither is KDE/GNOME and their C++ and GObjects

usually they face down and the sort of soft light diffuses the overall light on the desk, lighting up the desk surface and keyboard and such but also kinda breaking up the lighting contrast of the monitor

think of it like how your screen looks in daylight, an ambient lit room, versus how it looks in pitch darkness
if you have ambient light at night it makes it less harsh to look at, similar to looking at it in am ambient daylight lit room
