Why do I need more?
I just bought a 32Gib 512nvme i7-9850H quadro t1000 with a 4k panel for $400 on eBay (and uncle sam fucked me for 40 in taxes and 20 in shipping)--and I am regretting it and wish I bought the cheaper $330 1080p 48gib option but bought this one because I thought that the 4k panel might be good since 1080p is a bit bad for split screen latex but am now regretting it since it will- Drain battery faster (might take up 20% extra)- Be a pain to use because I will be forced to set it to 200% scaling for a good experience with my external 1080p monitors (probably, I have never used 4k but xorg will likely strangle me too)- Cost more- Doesn't have as much ram- At 15.6" and normal sitting, I probably won't ever noticeI don't think it has been shipped yet but also don't want to try to return it since that might make me an asshole...I will have to go check if the seller even accepts returns...I am really crying over this...why is life so hard?
>>107733509Nigga just hit return. If it's not shipped the seller won't care. Might be a bit different if you made an offer or won bidding but buy it now's? Who cares

Hello /g/ I'm trying to play MGS4 on my PS3 (PC doesn't run it), but it scales awfully on my monitor! My room is also not one of the rooms you can really put a TV in without doing bed gaming, which I hate. So I either play games on a shitty resolution scale, or I shit up my back and have to work on bolting this huge TV for the fifth time when my room doesn't fit a TV, like I said before.I own an AOC 250645 or something like that. It must have been a chink scam since I've only seen it on the day where I bought it at the mall.
You don't still use F-Droid, do you?

retard herewhy do gamedevs insist on using xinput when it's limited only to xbox-style gamepads? while directinput seems to support what frankenstein gamepad you throw at and will just detect any button as JOY1 JOY2 JOY3...JOY20..etc directinput seems like it is far more flexible.also according to wikipedia both are microsoft APIs, so what is the GNU/Linux equivalent?
>>107734218>>107734491>>107734614SDL was the one that could also natively support DualShock 4 and DualSense + motion?
>>107734364>>107734412Totally not because Xbox and Windows are both Microsoft and Xbox uses DirectX too.
>>107734091Two main reasons.First, xbox 360/1/series controllers have a major limitation under directinput. The analogue triggers can't be read separately, only as one combined axis (-1 when holding LT and not holding RT, 1 when holding only RT, 0 when holding neither, also 0 when holding both). That's unacceptable for most games and it's the most popular brand of controller.Second, by using xinput you can reliably and consistently refer to specific buttons. You know that when you check the A button you're checking the southmost of four face buttons. You also know that either it will physically have an "A" label on it, or that the player will probably know what you mean because they're familiar with how their controller maps to an Xbox pad. This is a lot better than guessing what directinput JOY10 means on a given pad.But I agree with the other posters, new games should really use SDL3. It gives native support for basically every controller, decides on the best underlying API to use (including Steam Input when running under steam), supports playstation pads over both USB and Bluetooth while many AAA games only support them over USB (long story), and can read motion data for gyro aim etc.
>>107734735 (Me)Forgot to add, I'm convinced that the combined trigger thing was a deliberate limitation to force xinput adoption. I used to have a random directinput controller that had analogue triggers and they showed up separately just fine. Not every game could make sense of them but they were available for the few that could.
>>107734691sdl supports everything and its crossplatform. it makes using a wii remote easy for instance.

Sure, you can use it, I used it on an oculus DK2 , but PPD is still too low to really replace a monitor.
