Media is again clutching their communal pearls:
>The rise of singlehood is reshaping the world
Now, that is what they wanted, right?
https://archive.is/N1Qiv
>Among Americans aged 25-34, the proportion living without a spouse or partner has doubled in five decades, to 50% for men and 41% for women. Since 2010, the share of people living alone has risen in 26 out of 30 rich countries. By The Economist’s calculation, the world has at least 100m more single people today than if coupling rates were still as high as in 2017. A great relationship recession is under way.
Is someone losing money?
>Vogue, a fashion magazine, recently suggested that for cool, ambitious young women, having a boyfriend is not merely unnecessary but “embarrassing”.
Suggested? OK, so media got what they wanted. What could go wrong?
>Social media spread fears that women will be assaulted if they go out; and that men will be digitally shamed if a date goes badly.
Ground truths in current dystopia are being witheld, again one may wonder why.
>Perhaps the most important factor is that, as living alone has become easier, women’s standards have grown more exacting.
Women have standards, got it.
>More men are failing to clear this moving bar
Aha?
>One obvious idea is for men to grow up, do a little more housework, behave more responsibly and so turn themselves into more desirable partners.

>The Thought Emporium Explores IMSI Cell Phone Tracking and Other Advanced Cell Phone Attacks with Software Defined Radios
https://www.rtl-sdr.com/the-thought-emporium-explores-imsi-cell-phone-tracking-and-other-advanced-cell-phone-attacks-with-software-defined-radios/
>Over on YouTube, The Thought Emporium channel has uploaded a video outlining how mobile phones constantly leak unique IMSI identifiers over the air, making passive location tracking much easier than most people expect. While LTE and 5G improve security, older 2G and 3G protocols still expose permanent subscriber IDs that can be collected and linked to movement over time.
>The video highlights how accessible this surveillance is. A cheap RTL-SDR USB dongle, basic antenna, and free software pre-installed on DragonOS are enough to passively collect IMSI numbers from nearby phones running on 3G. Once you know a person's unique IMSI number, you can easily track their movements if you have cheap radios monitoring the areas they frequent.

The latest one is qbittorrent 5.1.4 libtorrent 2.0.11 (64-bit one is "x86_64-qbittorrent-nox"):
https://github.com/userdocs/qbittorrent-nox-static/releases/tag/release-5.1.4_v2.0.11

Will probably try this out.

Migrating this question from /sqt/ to see if anyone here can figure this out:
I'm attempting to add the mozilla repos to apt (on Debian Trixie) and got confused when I reached the step on actually adding the repository to the sources file, where it has me using this command:

cat <<EOF | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mozilla.sources
Types: deb
URIs: https://packages.mozilla.org/apt
Suites: mozilla
Components: main
Signed-By: /etc/apt/keyrings/packages.mozilla.org.asc
EOF

Is it asking me to run the whole prompt in the CL? Or only the first line, then input the rest of it? If it's the latter how do I save the changes? Attempting to input the info via nano and the prioritizing the repo/updating apt brings up the error that the file can't be read. Same applies to the step after, cause I think it's formatted the same way. Actual page for reference:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux?utm_source=www.firefox.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=firefox-download-thanks#w_install-firefox-deb-package-for-debian-based-distributions
>>
>>107731085
Hang on, the last portion of that question is a bit of a copy-paste abomination, what I meant to say is:
Is it asking me to run the whole prompt in the CL? Or only the first line, then input the rest of it? If it's the latter how do I save the changes? I attempted to input the info via nano but after prioritizing the repo and running apt update, it said the file cannot be read. The actual file that prioritizes the new repo:
echo '
Package: *
Pin: origin packages.mozilla.org
Pin-Priority: 1000
' | sudo tee /etc/apt/preferences.d/mozilla

Ran fine and created the file.

my main computer blew up and I've been using an old i3 with 4GB of ram for the past couple of weeks
I''ve got windows 10 and visual studio 2026
it slows to a crawl every now and then
obviously I have to keep the number of tabs on the browser to a minimum, but that's actually good for my mental hygiene, I suppose. I can't really multitask on this pc, if I'm programming I can barely open a couple of tabs on the side
all in all, not terrible
I can't wait to get a new monster pc, though. fuck mental hygiene lol

What the fuck I thought this was just jokes? There's no way modern text editors struggle with 4GB of ram right?

Modern IDEs, language servers, build tools, and even editors are unfortunately not designed to be memory efficient. You need 16gb as an absolute bare minimum. Most developers have 32gb+.

Not really sure why you pointed me at the NLA, since that only seems to be an issue with Remote Desktop, but the FDResPub deciding to turn itself off regularly was funny. Firewall was just as I left it, blocking anything that doesn't come from my 192.168.50.x router pool. FDResPub being set to automatically kill itself appears to have been the issue. Changed it to automatically start and restart itself, and added a dependancy for Workstation which I saw people online recommending. Now the rest of the network sees the server again.
I'm a bit confused as to why Windows Server didn't automatically set FDResPub to be full-time when I specifically told Windows Server it was going to be acting as a network file server, but I've learned to stop seeking logic in the workings of Microsoft.

I fomo boughted a fuckton of phones
Pixels post 7 are such a nigger and a half to find cheap and not bootloader cucked by Verizon.
I found a new pixel 8 pro 512gb, and 2 open box pixel 9 pro xl 512gb. I had to return like 3 pixel 8s
I also bought an F7 512gb, found it on Ali for $420, seemed like a good deal and copefully it will get official lineage support soon.
The best part is that my current pixel 7 pro only has a year on it, i dont even need to upgrafe really.
The main thing i dislike about this phone is the stupid fucking curved screen and the usual chinkike dipshit moves of no sd card support and no headphone jack

What is it about big O notation that is so hard to understand for people?
Despite being a fundamental concept in CS, so many CS graduates think they understand what big O means, but when they try to explain it they are completely wrong.
For example pic related, almost every statement in the "explanation" is incorrect.

You noggers can't read.
The computer "science" definition is very easy and simple to understand.

A function g(n) is O(f(n)) if there exists C such that C* g(n) >= f(n) for all n >= N

Example f(x) = x^2 + 9000*x
then g(n) = x^2
