What can I use to change the contents of context menu? Even on LTSC it's full of entries that are useless.
>>108522959Forgot to specify, but I mean the context menu when you right click on a file. When right clicking on desktop or in a catalog it's fine.
>>108522959>>108522965You can do this by editing the registry. Have an LLM walk you through it.
Why is it getting so hard to find and save images from the internet?>Most apps like Instagram/pintrest don't allow right click saves, have to use some third party thing or inspect element workaround bullsit>Reverse image search has turned to dogshit>(((WEBP))) format>Even with AI image search still doesn't look for text in images, sill hard/impossible to find specific memesHalf the fun of the internet used to be making and sharing content, why is Big Web making it FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to do that these days outside of the walled garden of "sharing" on "apps?" What is the end game here? It's just fucking pictures>durrr just right click and save as jpg broThat fucking breaks the file formatting and prevents the image from being reuploaded to other websites, including and especially 4chanAnd hey, how about this? I SHOULDN'T NEED TO DO FUCKING ANYTHING TO SAVE A FUCKING JPEG FROM THE INTERNET. NO PLUGINS, NO EXTRA STEPS, NO TAKING A SCREENSHOT, FUCKING NOTHING BESIDES RIGHT CLICKING AND SAVING AS AN IMAGE FORMAT THAT FUCKING WORKS.
>>108521667sorry, bad grammar after rewording
>>108521667>it's pretty hard to stop making our webdevs stop creating massive 15MB bundles of react JS bloatoptimizing for performance is wholly pointless. Whether your output is 50 KB or 5 MB it’ll still be dwarfed by another 8 MB of analytics and tracking scripts and ads and then another 15 MB of random uncompressed graphics added by marketing. It’s so bad that you sometimes don’t even bother gzipping, minifying or removing unused css because it literally doesn’t matter when all you accomplish is the end result going from 45MB to 43MB
>>108519774In a few years I fear most websites will just be rendered in canvas tags, locking it further.

hey, i'm interested in cameras with as wide focal length as possible. phone is preferred but i can do with others as well.
>>108522855I don't have the equipment to do it myself, is it ok to send it to a repair shop?

>>108521914This has happened exactly ONCE and they are spending more time and money than what the sandwiches might be worth to install cameras because of it?

I used to trust open source software more because being public, issues would surface and be identified more easily under the eyes of many. But now with LLMs, between everyone publishing their vibeslop and maintainers not even reading what they're pushing, I am less inclined to download open source software. Is this what (((they))) wanted?
thats how its always beenunless youre auditing the code yourself, youre relying on trust just as much as proprietary software

>LinkedIn Is Illegally Searching Your Computer>Every time any of LinkedIn’s one billion users visits linkedin.com, hidden code searches their computer for installed software, collects the results, and transmits them to LinkedIn’s servers and to third-party companies including an American-Israeli cybersecurity firm.https://browsergate.eu/
>installed software>look inside>it's just Chrome extensions
>>108522779This right? JS can’t search your computer. I suspect they meant the LinkedIn app on phones.
>>108522816it can, other than all of the information it already leaks, js is just not secure jit inherently comes with unsafe assumptionslinkedin isnt going to use those actual exploits though, since it would get them in a lot of trouble very quickly
>>108522758 Big news! Every time one of our 1B+ members joins the conversation on linkedin.com, our innovative background processes are hard at work optimizing the ecosystem. This year's Debian Project Leadership election has only ONE candidate and it's a Pajeeta (Sruthi Chandran):>She is inactive on the mailing lists, and her Salsa profile is private so we can't even see what her coding contributions are.>She's run for DPL 4 times before; lost each time>Her entire platform is just about diversity and bitching about cis males>She intends to formally incorporate Debian in the US, which would force Debian to introduce age verificationHer only claim to fame is organizing DebConf23, an event where a Debian developer literally fucking DIED because basic health & safety measures were not followed.A much more qualified candidate was hospitalized during the nomination window and couldn't apply in time, yet she has refused to reopen nominations.Debian is FUCKED unless the Debian developers all vote NOTA (None of the above).
19 votes have been tallied so far.https://vote.debian.org/~secretary/leader2026/tally.txtSo far, everyone voted "-1". Sruthi is option 1, NotA is option 2. It's ranked choice voting. I'm not sure what -1 is supposed to mean.

Why do zoomers think buying obsolete gadgets is going to cure them of their internet addiction and executive dysfunction?
>>108510441ADHD isn't real and telling kids they have it teaches them that self control is literally impossible for them by nature. It's the tyranny of low expectations. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid because I was normal and couldn't sit still in a classroom all day. I quit taking my pills when I was 12 or so and have literally never had any issues. I would say if anything I have much more ability to focus than my peers. I don't want to dox myself but I'm very successful in life and I work in several fields that require a lot of focus. If I had to guess, I would say that ADHD is just another racket to sell extremely overpriced drugs to Americans who don't need them, similar to the opioid crisis.
>>108510014I'm a zoomer and I've bought a few cheap devices meant for singlular tasks. I have an mp3 player to listen to podcasts while I fall asleep so I don't go on the Internet in bed. I don't "need" podcasts to fall asleep but sometimes my ears are ringing pretty bad in silence. I bought a used Kindle to read eBooks. I could just read PDFs on my computer but it strains my eyes after a while and I'm not a consumerist willing to spend thousands on dollars on expensive books. I bought a used ThinkPad specifically for writing that I sometimes use, but I write a lot on my desktop as well. Do I "need" these devices to get stuff done? No, and I don't use TikTok and Instagram on my phone. Me getting distracted is spending 30min on here or YouTube or reading Reuters. But I want to avoid that and these are a low cost option to make it a bit easier by increasing friction between productive/healthy tech use and time wasting. I hate the trademark disposition of this site where millennial losers LARP as 130 IQ super productive "autists" (using it as a costume like a teenage girl on tiktok btw) that don't fall victim to peasant behavior like wasting time online, as if they don't spend hours on here. There is nothing wrong with being realistic about the possibility for distraction when using devices and websites that have billions of dollars invested in maximizing user retention. The mindset for most people buying these things isn't "this cute iPod will cure my ADHD", it's "this could be a quick and cheap method to help kickstart me to be more productive". Which is ironically a much more honest and mature perspective than the millennial supergenius 4chan larpers who have the classic "all or nothing" perfectionist approach to life that plagues the hobby boards of this site. Grow up
>>108519828Unironically believable.
>>108517995I really didn't. Also they are trained to want the quick content this is just how it is. Has nothing to do with adhd at all. Clearly by your lack of understand of what actual adhd is. The training is just that training it doesn't even need a dopamine hit besides just viewing content any kind of content desu because it can be slightly amusing and engaging. That is how they are training you to constantly want QUICK engaging content. >>108520097It is extremely real its just that the average person has fuck all idea how horrible adhd is and they just assume its simply not being able to focus. Every aspect of my life personally suffers from adhd.
>>108518070Its past your bedtime.Self control is the cure.
