Slowroll isn't publicly advertised yet as it's still in beta, so you'd basically be beta testing the OpenSUSE team's ability to curate a usable package base each month. From what I hear it's fine, but if you don't wanna be a beta tester, don't be one.

actually I feel like my "fix" for both of these might just be to use the Plastik window decorations instead lmao.

then since it's already hidden, it won't check it through the filters and highlight it(or in another words only highlight this post if hasn't been already hidden by other filters)

The 9070 and 9060 are both solid cards in their market segments.
If AMD is lucky this will be their Ryzen moment in the consumer GPU market.

Then again AMD are probably going to wind down their own GPUs for AI accelerators.

All memory that can be built is affected since OpenAI is holding bids on WAFERS. Not chips, but the wafers they burn chips into.

It's like if the building industry was put to a halt because a company bought up every tree that lumbar mills want to process.

I have used Plasma Vaults with Encfs over SMB, it is no speed demon but was serviceable.
Keep in mind that SMB and NFS are *extremely* sensitive to latency, you can wait for minutes before a very large directory opens on a 100ms link.
Don't blame encryption until you've tested the exact same directory directly – you may discover that encryption overhead is insignificant compared to the inherent NFS/SMB slowness caused by latency.

I use Zettlr, which is a simpler things following the same principle, but with things I couldn't compromise on like rendering LaTeX inline.
It's also data agnostic in the sense that it doesn't have any internal index trees or whatever, it's just the markdown files, so I could in principle migrate my notebook to Obsidian or anything else. (though not the other way around, at least not without losing data)

>>107706860
Basically it's a note taking program.
The less reductionist explanation is that it's a note-taking program meant to be used as a "Second brain" or a "zettelkasten", which is a method in which you take small notes made up of "atomic" information, you reference these notes to one another with a unique identifier (which in software basically means wiki-links) and that way you create this web of knowledge.
Some people swear by it, other think it's for people that want to feel productive at the expensive of actually being productive, but truth is it's just inter-connected notes, everyone does it kind of differently.
Obsidian is trying to be the solution that fits all conceivable variants of this note-taking paradigm, which is optimistic since virtually everyone does it differently.

So basically if it doesn't immediately sound interesting to you, don't worry about it. It's a niche within a niche.

>However, a human that's never seen a cat could create an image of a cat from a description after being taught the fundamentals of image creation only.
If you are referring to the image, that's a rendition by an artist who has idea of what is an animal, what does legs, hooves, hands, head, horn and body of all common animals look like, and had a detailed description of the animal ready.

A better test would be a baby born and aged in a sensory isolation tank for 18 years be asked to draw a cat.
>>

Hey, Coca Cola Company? You don't need your ads to actually reach people, right? You just want to pay people with fake platforms full of fake people to scream into an empty void as they walk away laughing with your advertising money, right? Because that's not your future. It's your present.
>>
>>107712585
>A better test would be a baby born and aged in a sensory isolation tank for 18 years
That would likely result in a drooling retard, but generally speaking, if you took someone that lived in a forest and was otherwise generally educated, without ever seeing an animal/picture of one, and you taught them the fundamentals of art, they could absolutely draw something like a cat from a detailed description.
AI systems are just anthropomorphized because of marketing and terminology assigned by computer scientists. They don't actually think, reason, or problem solve, and they don't have human rights. Because of that you cannot simply say that creating an AI system is equally as fair and entitled as what a human does.

while there are many obnoxious and annoying artists
there is real art, whether it's music or pictures
editing a piece and making shit of it is degenerate, sociopathic behavior
I don't understand people that see art as worthless
the art evokes emotions in people, makes them ponder, gives people inspiration, makes them feel better, makes them appreciate beautiful things
have you never cried watching a movie or listening to music?
I understand people shitting on furry, lgbt, agenda promoting "artists", but why the fuck are people shitting on someone that actually draws well and doesn't incorporate some propaganda messages - promoting woke ideology etc
that person did nothing like these obnoxious "artists", but is treated the same as them

I've been using fedora for about a year on my main laptop and im thinking of going back. My previous laptop has been on the same arch install from more than 10y ago. I really like fedora, especially to put on the family laptops, but i miss the aur packages. I should probably just use distrobox for those scenarios i guess, would be cleaner and safer.
>>
>>107709451
>People say it has bleeding edge packages
It doesn't. Fedora Rawhide does, and the beta repos do, but the standard configuration only has stable releases.
>What makes it different from Mint?
Maintainers don't fuck up packages by patching them and don't wait several years to update them. This is how software updates work on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS as well. You might find Fedora or Fedora with Testing repos to be a happy medium. But as a Windows user Arch is the only Linux distro I can stand.

>Have you tried stopping being a spamming jeet and instead make fewer applications with more effort, with a proper letter of introduction to positions that are the best fit possible?
That doesn't work. In fact, the more effort you put into an application and cold messaging, the more repellent your desperation seems. This is just like dating and needs to be treated the same way. You need to be seen (beat the algorithm and numbers) and make a strong first impression (your resume). There's 4 ways to hit these points.

1. Timing. Be one of the first people seen or get lucky. This means setting up linkedin/hiringcafe filters to apply to jobs within the first hour they're uploaded.

2. Numbers. Spam as many applications as humanly possible, every hour on the hour.

3. A strong resume. Ask ChatGPT to judge your resume "as harshly as possible" on these aspects. ATS score, quick readability for recruiters, and how it reads to a technical hiring manager. Add bullshit metrics to your tasks and only put position relevant skills in your skill section.

4. Good interview skills. Come in clean, well dressed, and early. Do as many interviews as possible, even for shit jobs to get your interview practice in. Keep a tally of questions that get asked in your interviews, they may come up again. Especially if you flubbed them. Act as confident and inquisitive as possible, make clear improvements between interview rounds with the same person through technical interview prep, then explain how you've improved and learned.

These are the things that got me a really nice 6 figure remote job in my preferred field within 2.5 months of looking and 2000 applications.

>Why do you lie constantly? ChatGPT is a sure fire way to get your resume trashed.
I didn't say have it rewrite your resume. I said to have it "judge" it. You rewrite it yourself. It'll say things like, "these skills in your skill section are irrelevant", "this bullet point is worded weakly or should include metrics", "your formatting is poor for recruiter scanning", or " you're missing x, y, and z keywords".

My QIE workflow using the A2R lora is like 95% consistent transfering the character to realism, even though it slops the facial expression and it's impossible to make it not (looking at camera slop), but at least it keeps hair, clothes, pose accurate. If only it had actual realistic textures and lighting, instead of the plastic look Qwen has... Zedit can't come any sooner
