I read that you need to know calculus. Any tips for learning? Khan Academy or MIT OpenCourseWare?
As far as projects go, I'm starting off with a C 6502 emulator, already finished all the decoding stuff and now I'm using the Mame Apple I emulator as a cross reference to test it against AllSuiteA.asm from the verilog 6502 project.
What kind of electrical engineering knowledge should I persue? I've got the basics cause I played with Snap Circuits as a little kid.
Next I may purchase a real 6502, Arduino, STM32, or Risc-V CPU. As a long term goal I'd like to become an expert in Risc-V before the ISA matures.

Yes, because learning on a machine with 3 registers, no proper pointer support. No proper stack frame support. Crippled addressing modes. Limited arithmetic. Is very relevant and good for learning to become a useful embedded software engineer in 2025. You can practice valuable skills such as juggling computation through a single accumulator. Using multiple instructions to increment a pointer. Manually allocating variables into a tiny 256 byte zero page. These are all incredible skills that any modern software engineer needs.

>Yes, because learning on a machine with 3 registers,
That is how you learn frugal programming, how to avoid endless fill and spill, get fast response and quick interrupt response in the embedded world. With about 6000 transistors it won't eat up your silicon chip area either.
>no proper pointer support.
Amateur problem. You have
LDA (XX, y)
and
LDA (XX), xy
and you can also switch to SWEET-16.
>No proper stack frame support.
Not a problem in an embedded platform. And 256 bytes of stack was never a problem.
>Crippled addressing modes.
Drivel. The RISC fundamentalists complained it had too many.
>Limited arithmetic.
Yet sufficient for the job.
>Is very relevant and good for learning to become a useful embedded software engineer in 2025.
Now you get it.
>>
>>107593302
>LDA (XX), xy
That should of course have been LDA (XX), x
>>
>>107593302
If less is more, we can go even lower than the 6502. One instruction cpus are a thing, why not start with that. Since apparently crippling limitations are valuable experience.

Usually zoom zooms do this when they search for "reddit meme frog" on google images. Then they save the image preview which only shows the first frame of a gif instead of going to the source page and downloading the whole animation. It's because zoom zooms unfortunately don't understand that an image format even is, let alone which one does what.

The game is over, as I am fond of saying.

The women won. They are in control of the eugenics program and the multi-trillion-dollar pussy reward system — a highly symbolic fertility ritual. But they are in control of much more than the reproductive apparatus. They control not only the men and government of the United States of America but through the power of pussy and the susceptibility of men and government officials, fiat currency manipulation by the Witches of Fiat Currency at the Federal Reserve System, a large army of simps and "backers" (this is a technically incorrect use of the term) who are fighting to maintain control of the Frankenstein monster they created called Onlyfans (in a war I fear we are going to lose), and even the Republican form of government they created which inevitably—and I would argue by design—fosters centralized female matrilineal control and assures only a handful of "pre-selected" men must be sacralized to control an entire country, they control the entire world.

The board has gone up in price and costs $150 now
still needs cooling some kind of casing, needs cooling and a psu and bios modding (to properly alocate the RAM), draws 150W in idle, no audio port, no gpu acceleration in windows
when all is said and done you're paying $250 and maybe half a dozen hours of your time for significantly weaker PS5 that can run Linux, at that point just buy a PC.

I agree that 2005-2012 was peak Internet even though I was much older. That was the special time when connection speeds became much faster and before everything got consolidated into a giant pile of slop.

Yes, there is a real difference, you can see it when looking at a spectrogram. Lossy compression removes information deemed unimportant for the application.
