They didn't actually invent a super fast camera. It's just a regular photo that's run through an algorithm to produce a video to give it an illusion of recording at faster speeds.

This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030.

>In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.

>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.

>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.

OP, don't be a faggot. Always remind yourself of the cardinal rule of all news even vaguely including Chinese or Russians. That rule is that nothing good has ever been built, concieved, constructed, thought of, done, invented or achieved in China and Russia. They're eternal shitholes full of failure, regret and pain and nothing else. No exceptions.

So what's the deal with everyone hating on Rust?
The usual points people bring up are:
>wokism
>tranny language
>made by jews
>it's a cult

Disregarding the aforementioned points, can you tell me actual reasons for why a safe(r) programming language like Rust shouldn't be adopted more widely?

>>
>>107602516

Rust isn’t for every use case. It’s really good if you know exactly what you’re building, but if you’re just exploring and throwing stuff away rapidly, it slows you down.
>>
>>107608577

The problem with GPL (and LGPL) specifically is that it forces dynamic linking, and this requires ABI stability afaik (something Rust does not have).
>>

In theory they could have heap allocated their flags buuuuut there’s a penalty for that in perf
>>
Because if anyone mentions doing something in any other language a bunch of Rust programmers will show up and say "b-b-but it's not memory safe" and call every language "memory unsafe".

Because systems programming requires being able to manipulate bits and bytes freely without the borrow checker complaining like one of the autistic fags that built it.

Assuming you don't want to work at a low level and for some reason you still decide to use Rust, then it works okay until you need to do async work. Then you discover that lifetimes plus parallelism is a world of pain.

Sorry but no thanks. The best use case for Rust is rewriting small command line utils which seems to be what it is most used for.

Also troons.

Also what the fuck is this captcha.

You made a deal with the devil using Nvidia hardware for Linux when you had other options, don't complain when the devil decides to rape you.
And even if the driver was leaked, it wouldn't take much for it to be outdated and most people do not have the expertise to maintain that, and most people that do care about their career prospects and reputation to not work on what would be essentially stolen code.

>equally sized models that seem roleplay oriented
Miqu wasn't roleplay oriented. It was just Mistral Medium. And models were trained with much less tokens back then, and the native context of L2 was 4k. Use anything else. There's GLM 4.5 Air, and I think Drummer has a fine-tune of it, if you need it to be "roleplay oriented".
>>
>>107617183
>you misquoted me
my bad, I see my entire post looks like a mess.

Yes I've seen the lists of slop phrases, shivers, whispers, etc.

This one is harder to fix with training due to the nature of how LLMs work. Fine tuning could change what the slop phrases are, possibly even flatten the distribution somewhat, but it will still end up with its own set of verbal ticks.

This isn't RP specific, you'll see it in coding agents, or the "You're absolutely right!" assistant messages, etc.

I do have an idea for this though. It would only work for local models though, and would require code changes to llama.cpp (I could tidy up and PR if it works).

If we can define specific "slop voices" and tag them as such in the dataset, I believe that with a relatively small dataset of around 1000 tagged RP logs, it would be to steer the slop profile in latent space during generation.

I mostly work with TTS but here's an example. It would work for textgen exactly the same way:

Are there people who intentionally pick smaller models because they are aroused by women being dumb?
>>
>>107617655
I only get aroused when a model picks up on things I wouldn't expect it to.
>>
>>107617655(me)
I am asking cause I had this crazy idea. If you are a vramlet and you think girls are the cutest when they are almost retarded what if you would just create the following structure in your rp:
1)Model
2)Elara(the retarded)
3)Lyra(the sex object)

Ask model to roleplay as Elara. Then in the roleplay tell Elara that you want to ERP with her and she should play Lyra. Then when your nemo (cause it is still nemo) fucks up you can just chastise the model in character and continue the ERP. Just tell Elara that she is fucking retarded and tell her what she did wrong.

True, pretty much anything that performed as strong or better than a PS3 or XBOX 360 stayed relevant for so long, because the 7th gen of consoles really overstayed their welcome to the point where by the time the PS4 came out, most PC gamers had a stronger PC, and then when the 750Ti came out, pretty much all PC gamers had as strong a GPU as a PS4 because they were such weak consoles.

MPV on it's own is unusable since last time I checked it forces on screen controls onto you. At least not without going full tranny with a bunch of configs and shit. Using it with wrappers is pretty nice however. Haruna is probably the best media player I've used so far, other than maybe good old MPC.

Haven't used VLC properly in like 6 years but i remember switching because it was shit at handing some file types.

I've been working on a simple OCR-Programm to make an easy use for Kraken OCR which is specialized in cursiv/fraktur/kurrent/sütterlin writing and handwriting

but it was a bitch to get it to run properly...kraken surely doesn't natively want to be run in a programm...
>>
The moment you realise you need an intervention is when you install 3 separate containers on your server to OCR a single page of a webcomic, then uninstall all 3 afterwards because while 90% of what you did was successful, you forgot to check and see if the data you got out was going to be easy to export.
In a years time, I will no doubt configure them again, installing another 4 containers on top, just to automate the export process.

Have each torrent at a share ratio of at least 15.01 (addition to what I said in >>107617863). Otherwise run whatever services/stuff you want and learn about. Could probably run low-level AI like you were saying. I wonder if I could locally run AI in my "ancient" 32bit computer running Slax Linux. Kinda curious but not really...
