I know jack shit about computers, but I need a small, durable laptop for college. Ideally, it would have a long battery life, be lightweight, and survive at least five years. I did my bsc in denmark and msc in london and pretty much everybody used a macwindows / linux if usually fine but the moment you’ll run into some issues you will get a shrug because not only will the instructor not care, he probably couldn’t help you even if he wanted to - at bedt he knows some python and how to use venv and that’s about it.In contrast when something fucks up on a mac you won’t be the only one with that issue so it’ll get solved efficientlybeing a special snowflake isn’t worth it in school

The free ones are now bundled in a separate plugin called "INSTRUMENT" (capitalization is part of the name). These people cannot be taken seriously.If you can't download it DRM free and use it offline, it isn't worth it. I don't think I have paid for software outside of Steam Games and subscriptions like Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime and whatever that Nintendo Live subscription is called.Software I have cracked in the past is Windows, MS Office and more specialized software I needed to use once or twice (back-up software or graphical editing software like PhotoFiltre (because I am too retarded to understand how Photoshop works))
