The waste water of the cows is highly nitrogenated and filled with salts.

The waste water of the data centers is warm.

Big fucking difference.

You can simply wait on data center water to cool off before it's ready for reuse.

Now do water consumption for producing one desktop PC. You can exclude the case and peripherals and assume it's an ATX size motherboard.

It erased my external ssd.
I was having a problem copying a file from one external disk to the other, where one disk just jumped out, and asked GPT for help. We did the usual, smartctl, a few reading and writing checks.
Then all of a sudden it gives me a command that overwrites everything on sde1. Just as a test. I did the command before reading all of it. Even after aborting if after a few seconds, the disk is gone.
Why? How does it even get the idea to that? Its completely absurd to me. Its not even the first time chatGPT deleted something. How does it get the idea that overwriting a disk is even an option for anything?

It's a rite of passage to destroy your file system with dd. At least now you know to not run write commands on a raw block device if there's a file system on there and to always keep backups, right?
Maybe ChatGPT can guide you through the recovery process. Just make sure to work on a disk image instead of the real disk. The files should still be there but the GPT/Superblock might be fucked, but both make redundant copies of themselves usually.

>>106509935
I did recover like 90% already. Not through the recovery process though. The drive mostly contained projects and notes, mostly stored in ods files. I got nearly all ods files from local libreoffice caches, and the two recent projects making up 99% of all I worked on I coincidentally saved locally recently as a test, so I can copy those.

Sadly a few notes are missing as well as my IDE which I made portable through editing a few sh files. That I will have to do again. And some notes of projects I barely worked on are gone. I cant stitch together anything the recovery apps spit out.

This is in main.c, slightly more understandable this way, to understand the passes done on each function.

You can see that filluse() is called before every pass basically. This is about the SSA data structure. Each instruction struct has operand fields pointing to (referencing via an index) the variable definitions (variable assignment or temporaries) it uses. For example:
a = 1
b = 2
c = add a, b # c = a + b

So naturally, it contain explicit use -> def chains, which are useful for analysis and transformations. Some passed make use of def->use chains however, and here in QBE it's maintain by an external data structure that must be re-generated. It's easier to manipulate the SSA this way, otherwise every single transformation pass should take care to maintain the def->use chains. def->use chains are a pain because each definition can have multiple users, so each instruction struct requires a vector for storing them. On the other hand, each instruction only need a single use->def chain per operand. Each operand requires a single pointer/reference and that's it.

hare is fugly like Rust and doesn't have the redeeming quality (robust memory safety) that no other language has. it's a memelang, so just pick C, C++, or Rust depending on which satisfies your application.
>>
>>106506496
nta but im glad there is someone else in this world who has looked at the yacc source code, i had to do that for work once and it was retarded.
>>
QBE codebase is visibly a single-person project. I tried to read it and desu I would struggle a lot to decode the cryptic names and algorithms if I didn't know the theory and worked from that to source code. Zero comments, acronyms only, invariances are kind of just assumed and never checked or described.
It's not a fast code, but the competition is pretty low so it is fast enought I guess.
It lacks function inlining, which is one of the most significant optimizations. This is a massive performance loss and reason why I won't take QBE seriously.
The model is that it optimizes single function at a time in isolation. Admittedly this makes the project way less complex.

You can run any distro, your hardware isn't actually bad enough. As the other anon said, you're probably going to have the best time on something like Bazzite, or Aurora if you're not a gamer.

>>106509109
In the past year or two there hasn't been anything more user friendly than Universal Blue systems (Bazzite, Aurora). So, Bazzite is your best choice.

Middle click pastes whatever text you've selected last, without requiring an explicit "copy" action. Each time you mark some text it's automatically remembered and stored in the "middle click clipboard". While the RMB-paste is using your actual clipboard.
You can disable the default middle click behavior, for example in KDE it's under the General Behavior settings section. Then just manually add the middle click as an additional shortcut to paste from your clipboard.

>Gnome apps under KDE look like ass
Nobody cares about toolkit consistency since most software doesn't use Gtk/Qt for any of their elements.
As for borders and the titlebar, Gtk on KDE doesn't look bad at all unless you start applying random themes. And it looks much better than Qt on GNOME since at least KDE is actively trying to make Gtk software not stick out like a sore thumb. And again, it's not like most people care about any of this.

I know NOTHING about speakers, but I do need a set for my desk area.
I tried doing a cursory bit of research, but the speakers community seems rather convoluted and autistic and susceptible to snake oil.
What speakers do you have? Do you recommend them? What features should I care about if I 'just' want to listen to 'music'? Do I need stands? Right now I'm looking at the Ai41, as my budget is like $300.

Still relatively cheap on the audio equipment spectrum. I feel like eventually I will be buying endgame speakers, so why wait.
>>
>>106508407
You'll get better sound with a 300 dollar speaker pair and spending the rest on acoustic treatment... unless you're using your speakers on a PC then you're better off with front ported speakers because your head is right next to them.

I used to run teams that installed AV equipment and other electronics in multi million dollar jets owned by billionaires and part of my team did the install for one of george lucas's private theaters--and his private jet.

I know a bunch of musicians and went with a few of them to professional grade recording studios. None of them use thousand dollar speakers although some use vintage ones that are expensive NOW but not when they bought them.
