you can have a drive lie about how much capacity it has. it can keep writing and circle back and overwrite the first things you wrote. wouldn't be hard to do that for giggles like OP

What's up with copy-pasting? Sometimes pastes via control-v, via right-MB-paste and via middle-MB-paste result in different content. I just want a single clipboard not multiple
>>
>>106507571
found out half a week ago that it's apparently a hold over from older systems (I think X11), something about the "primary selection clipboard"
since MMB (and RMB) are now used for other functions within Clients, newer shit blocks it for Ctrl V

>I'm not sure where the myth that it doesn't work comes from.
because it literally didn't support them early on. support was added in linux 5.0 iirc. before then the only way to have a swapfile on btrfs was using a loop device, which has reduced performance

Jesus. Is that still shaping perceptions of modern Linux? Stuff THAT old? No wonder people still get told to use Mint, or that they can't use their NTFS games drive with Proton.

Had one in 2018 with 1gb of ram, 300gb hdd,ran bodhi linux and ran surprisingly well for anything not web related. Terrible battery life however (even after replacing the battery) and the integrated GPU eventually died.

There's a few around but everything is soldiered down/glued together, picrel is the closest thing to a modern netbook (and has really great battery life). Shame it only has 32 GB of storage and is built like shit.

I have one of these little guys and it's easily my favorite computer. Right now I have NetBSD running on it (I wanted OpenBSD but the wi-fi driver is GPL'd and nobody cares 15 years later) but before I was running Void Linux.
The main issue I have with it is that I can't post here! Fucking Cloudflare's fucking stupid proof of work turnstile shits itself on anything below, like, 1.5 ghz. (I know because I've had this problem with Arm SBCs too.) Still runs a compiler and Emacs fine though, and you can even watch Youtube with yt-dl and mpv.

I have a "display less" samsung m31, its unrooted, not modified in any way, has the samsung one ui version of android, im wondering if i can use it, again somehow. as like a server

this phone was an old phone of mine, it was my personal, phone i used, before i dropped it once, and the adhesive just gave up?! like it just, detached the screen. off the phone, the tension created suddenly on the display cable, ripped it from the screen, making the perfectly fine screen useless. i was wondering if i could make this phone a server? somehow, without being able to unlock it, i do not care about the data in it anymore, nor the memories i had with it, i have accepted that it was and is, a lost cause. just asking if i could have it back somehow, for a different purpose. i appreciate the upcoming debate.. let the chatting begin (idk why i found that funny)
>>
no you can't, the prerequisite of turning something into a server is access.
you got no screen to enable adb, accept adb etc to install apps/executes commands remotely, how do you supposed to run something on it?
try >>>/sqt/ first next time
>>
for your next phone, make sure to enable wired and wireless adb debugging before anything else and test access every 6 months
also test scrcpy program
>>
give it back michael
>>
some models can output video via usb-c, but I don't think this one can do it
you may be able to unlock it if you plug in a keyboard using a USB OTG cable and inputting something like <ENTER> <passcode> <ENTER>
though to really get anywhere, you'd ideally need to have another samsung device (with one ui) so that you can try it there first and get a better idea of the sequence of keystrokes you'd need to issue
once you make it past the lock screen, the next step would be to enable USB or wireless debugging, and then scrcpy will let you view the screen and interact with the phone from your PC

It can actually be better since it's now been through two rounds of QC.

>you'll know by the warranty they offer on the item. if its less than 6 months then you cant trust 'em
Honestly. I probably wouldn't buy anything that isn't refurbed by (or under direct contract from) the original manufacturer. And those usually have a one year warranty in my experience.

Is there a disposable email that protonvpn accepts at sing up?
>>
>>106506524
Get a RTL-SDR, which is cheap, and GNU Radio, which is free. Read up the /ham/ FAQ and you are well on your way to understand.
Then you go to hard mode like this guy:
https://i56578-swl.blogspot.com/
>>
>>106506650
So I actually misremembered part of the process. It is not that difficult to find a disposable email that proton accepts.
The difficult part is finding a VPN that they haven't blocked sign ups for. (I can't access it directly)
Any ideas aside from setting up a VPS for this ordeal?

MX Master is a good mouse for about 2 years. After that the buttons will start fucking up. I replaced my buttons with silent switches, I believe Kailh but I'm not sure. But a few months after that the rubber coating is starting to degrade. It's not that terrible but I think I have another 6-12 months left until I have to replace the entire mouse.

NTSC's flaws were exploited by home computers in the 80s to give graphics, especially for games, far more colors than the computer could actually produce. Without these artifact colors, the home computer revolution would have had a much more difficult time taking off. Eurofags stuck with PAL were angry when their games were in black and white while those playing on inferior NTSC tvs got the full color effect.
>>
>>106498408
PAL-M was probably the best analog system, because it combines the NTSC 59.97Hz frequency with the PAL color encoding.
PAL60 came later aping it because someone had to use the system for something good instead of Silvio Santos and novelas.
