I have no strong feelings either way on Bluetooth, I can just identify patterns and themes. Obsessed autists on this board make the same threads repeatedly with slight rewording.

>I'm not a CL expert so other than recognizing this as a compiled file I don't know what's going on here. Is this bytecode or architecure specific? Is there someway to recompile this while still using the package manager?

An alternate solution is to download "Portacle" which is an Emacs already configured with Slime, Swank, SBCL, Quicklisp, and Paredit. It works out of the box.

In that way you don't need to lose time configuring or troubleshooting things.

No.

- Even if it were, there's no Android version of this anyway.

SBCL fasls are architecture specific and also compiler version specific AFAIK

Gemini is such a dramatic bitch. Even when something mildly good happens it plays it up way too much.
Jaws = dropped
Eyes = widened
Room = gone silent in awe
The actual action = guy sang a tune kinda nice
Then if said guy makes a snarky remark towards one character, that character previously in awe of them will immediately see red and be offended.
I had to implement a standalone toggle for when I use Gemini just to try and quell it being a drama queen.

I people to see it in textbooks centuries in the future.

What is the usecase of routing cables behind floor trims like this? How can a computer nerd like me take advantage of these cutouts? I was just thinking of replacing these trims outright with something solid and sealed so dust, grime, and insects can't accumulate behind them. Besides, where are the cables supposed to break out? Why not just use wall mounted cable boxes for things like extension cords and devices? Less of a fire hazard too, especially if you run MDF trims as opposed to PVC/XPS.

running cables in walls is the inferior solution, because you need an extra set of connectors and like we all know connectors come with losses in signals therefore it is the inferior tech solution.

Technology is rapidly regressing.
Windows 10 took away the analog clock.
Windows 11 took away the second. There is no built in way in Windows 11 to see the second. It's not in the start menu. It's not in the clock app. It's not in the notification area. It's not in the calender that opens form the notification are when you click on the clock. You have to install a 3rd party app or open a webpage to see the second.

Eli is schizophrenic and can barely hold down a conversation unrelated to counting. Unfortunately for him you have to have a PhD in Number Theory or Graph Theory to actually understand his ideas. Even if they were adopted, humanity won't have enough compute to use them for a few centuries at least. By then better stuff will have been invented that does the same thing. He mentioned making a maidchan, but I don't think he ever made any effort towards it, so I am making one.

>After almost five decades on air, the future of satellite TV remains uncertain beyond 2029 with broadcasters reluctant to commit to the platform for longer.

A decision needs to be made within the next two years if satellite TV services from Sky and/or Freesat will continue. That’s because the current fleet of satellites are reaching their end of life dates and any replacement satellite needs to be commissioned at least three years in advance.

Mini pcs are in a weird spot for LLMs right now. They have the ram size to host large models that are prohibitively expensive to run on a bunch of gpus but the speed is so bad it's not worth it. You can run small models pretty fast on one but a 3060 can run the same model much faster for way less $.
>gemma 4b
Don't. Qwen 4b is the only <12B model I would consider coherent enough to use as a googler replacement but it's pointless when you have >32GB RAM, don't run a 2GB lobotomized model on it.
>perhaps i can host the frontend (open-webui) on it, then serve the llm from somewhere else
ikllama backend and an IQ quant of GLM 4.5 Air. You'll get between 5 and 10 t/s until you start hitting 4k+ context then it'll slow down a lot.
>>
>>106524813
so, i should just forget about running an llm on it thats what you are saying. i have a desktop with a 3090, which is what i plan on using for serving the llm, that i do not feel comfy exposing to the internetz, hence the beefy mini pc for home server. also i could off-load models that come with open-webui, as well the kokoro-tts that i run for, well, tts. (i'm aware of edge tts.) are those smaller models that bad? i have seen people praising them in the local llm threads.
